How to use watercolor tubes

Are you a fan of tube paints or pan paints? Personally I like both but for different reasons. I love pan paints for their built in mixing wells, and for me there's less mess to deal with after you finish painting. Tube paints though, are amazing for using lots of wonderful colors and having access to a ton of the color without as much work!
