Enjoyed your video. I am an owner and over 2,000 miles so far and don’t have any seat vibration issues. Over 6,000 rpm the engine is unbelievably smooth and a joy. The handling, comfort, acceleration and fuel economy are a perfect blend. I have had and have more powerful bikes but for a do it all, every day machine, affordable with a fun factor this is hard to beat. In black with the gold wheels it is a looker too. Look forward to you next trip.
Many thanks for your comments. The 450 truly is a fantastic do it all bike. Interesting to hear you don’t have any seat vibrations. Maybe I have my suspension set too firm. Hopefully the mesh seat cover will cure it. Cheers Mick
Thanks Mick for your insight. Glad you're an owner doing this review. I'm a young 66 years, finally deciding to down size (riding a XL1000 Varadero which I love and will keep). Choice between the 450 Him and the CF Moto 450. Deciding factor after test riding, if they both come out even, could be the economy. 90 MPG is a real winner as I'm doing longer EU tours.
Thanks Mark for sharing your comments. The XL1000 is a big bike to come down from, but I’m sure you will not regret it. Especially as you’re keeping it. It’s a tight choice between the 450’s and I’m sure you will make the right choice for your riding needs. I don’t think you can go wrong with either. Ride safe buddy. Cheers Mick.
I Have just done over a 1000, it does come alive, love it to bits, can you share the Suffolk roads that are mentioned in the magazine, thanks. great video thanks for sharing, and I'm with you about pound for pound for bikes as like you I have ridden many a bike, love this one and keeps my smile on my face.
Thanks for sharing your comments. These 450's are amazing and I just cant wait to get out on mine. Like you its a bike that just puts a smile on your face. Cheers Mick
Hi thank you for sharing your thoughts i have been reading all the comments and it has been very helpful as i am going to get one next year i have a transalp and no longer need a bike of this size and power i have subscribe and look forward to more i like the top box as well God bless
Thank you for your reply to my previous comment. I have just watched your recent video, and thank you for helping me to make my mind up. I am only 5:8ft tall, but I have a 33 inside leg. I can flat foot my Tigger (Triumph Tiger sport 660) . The only problem I have with Tigger is that he has no centre stand. I would like to travel abroad, and I think a bike like the Himalayan 450 ticks all the boxes, and like you say, it's versatile. Enjoy your bike, and I look forward to watching the updates and adventures you have in mind.
Hi Susan. You are very welcome. The Himalayan would be pert for what you are looking for. The seat is very narrow towards the front making it easy to touch the ground. 5ft8 and 3: inside leg would be perfect on the normal setting. The centre stand is a gem to have. Enjoy your new bike. Cheers Mick.
Hi. I commented about the 1200 mark when the bike seemed to come alive, glad you are experiencing that change too. I am now onto 2800 and I have to say, it just keeps getting better. One thing I didn’t know was the quick way to reset the trip. Toggle left to get trip on TFT then hold toggle left for a few seconds. Maybe you all know this already… 🙄
Many thanks again. I'm really impressed with the performance. I've heard if you de cat the exhaust and mod the airbox, there's another 10 BHP to be had. Also thanks for the trip tip, I didn't know about this. Cheers Mick
Merci pour le partage, superbes images et très bon commentaires qui me font plaisir j'attends mon Himalayan 450 elle devrait arriver le mois prochain, je suis très impatient. Encore merci et à bientôt. Grand ✌️de la Haute Savoie en France
Many thanks for your comments. These are superb bikes and hope you get yours soon. French roads and countryside are some of the best for riding a motorcycle. Cheers Mick.
I totally agree. There isn’t a bade bike out there at the moment. And as long as manufacturers keep improving and pricing is kept competitive, then we all benefit. Thanks for your comments
Hello Mick, (Guys), I test rode a Moto 450MT yesterday, very impressive for the money, apart from a very snatchy throttle and 2 seat options, both pushing me towards the handle bars. I sat on a showroom Him 450 that did more of the same thing although there's a height adjustment. Mick, could you offer a comment as you're riding the Him regularly, thanks
@@markfenlon7049 hello Mark. Hope your well mate. I’ve not yet had chance to ride the CF moto 450 so can’t give you my thoughts on that. However watching a lot of reviews on this bike say it’s a little cramped in the legroom for taller riders. I find the himi perfect for me and not cramped at all. I have heard the rally seat is a fantastic upgrade for that extra comfort. Hope this helps mate. Cheers Mick.
Just wondering Mick, and not wanting to start the Premium v Supermarket fuel debate what are you running on? 1st couple tanks i put in pre service were Supermarket & I too got 90+mpg. Since service Im trying Premium to see if there is a difference. Only trying it as i read in the owners handbook to use Premium if possible
Hi Andy. I’m using supermarket e10 fuel, and putting in premium e5 every third tank full. I’m not sure if this helps of makes much of a difference, just covering all basis. Cheers Mick.
You are probably right. I saw the launch in India, and these bikes where abused from day one. Be wary of dealers selling 1000 mile demo bikes at discounted prices.. Cheers Mick
That happened to my local dealer - waiting for my ordered tubeless bike and took their demonstrator out, with a request to "keep this new engine under 4000 rpm" which I did, bike had less than the 300mile first service point. Mine was late pm and then a few days later we get the youtube test rider who had this same bike out that same morning showing what he could get out of the bike at max revs! I hope they never give him any other test rides ( I do know once the word got out the bike was serviced and oil changed early but very annoying for evryone else who took the bike for a test) who gets that bike after that will be interesting.
The vibes on this bike are minimal at best. Hardly noticeable unless your actually looking for them. Let's also not forget it's a 450 single. Mine is just approaching its 1000 mile mark. There were noticeable (to me anyway) changes at the 300 & 600mile mark. It's bloody lovely at the moment & I'm expecting it to get better as it really bed's in.
I picked mine up today and put nearly 300km on it. Absolutely loved it. BUt as I was with pals with have bikes with way higher cc than my new 450. THey did say it will struggle if we tour or go motocamping once loaded with gear. Can you tell me if this is true or rubbush please. I love the bike so far but am now worried it will struggle once packed up with gear.
@@tommck2386 I wouldn’t worry mate, it will be a solid tourer, look at some of the TH-cam videos with that biker Simon and his mates Nomadic Knights, over in the Himalayan mountains on a tour, this bike will get you anywhere
Don't worry about it mate. I loaded mine with full camping gear before I hit 300 miles, and it coped with no problem at all. The lad I was with was on a GS 850F & unless he tried to out power me I kept up no issues
My mates Said exactly the same. You don’t have to worry about this bike keeping up with anything. My mates have a Harley. 1800. A triumph tiger 800 and a Nikon 1000. And this keeps up really well with pack. And returning 90 mpg. The bike just gets better with miles Cheers Mick

There isn’t a bad bike on the market today. Some are inspiring, others blah.

I'm wondering if a lot of the vibrations are caused by not running the bike in properly. You see the journalists take out a brand new 450 and rag it!!
You are probably right. I saw the launch in India, and these bikes where abused from day one. Be wary of dealers selling 1000 mile demo bikes at discounted prices.. Cheers Mick
@@RAD_RIDERS_UK You may be right. I too suffer very few vibes, just that 70mph and above, but nothing too terrible.
