It's cool to see what's in them and there's a bunch that are great despite needing so much better of a paint job but with 3d printing being the way it is these days you'd think they'd step it up especially with how expensive they can be

Wow. Probably one of the worst painted bricks/minis I’ve seen from wiz kids. I’m pretty sure That behir is just a reprint of a previous mould released before.
Definitely the set I have been most looking forward to. Dragonlance was my favourite setting pre-5e, and the 5e campaign is great. I can’t wait to run it with the minis, the boardgame, some Dwarvenforge.
Great set certainly better then I was expecting I really like the winter coat bard and the night rider the purple worm eggs could be a great objective for a mission
I don't think there is a stat block or anything for a Brood Slaad, in the adventure, that is just a Red Slaad with tadpoles crawling over him. I guess they call him that because the Dragon Army was experimenting with a spawning stone replica to breed and infect people with Slaadi. Btw, really wish Wizkids finally released some Uncommon Blue and Red Slaadi, we have the Green, Death and Grey Slaadi but the much more common Blue and Red still only exist as Nolzur's.
@@TheGallantGoblin They could easily do one similar to the Ogre Warband - we'd have 3 Large minis and 2 Mediums in it. Maybe we can expect some "Extraplanar Warbands" when Planescape comes out - Slaadi from Limbo, Modrons from Mechanus, Archons from Mount Celestia, Guardinals from Elysium, Devils from Baator, Demons from the Abyss, Yugoloths from Gehenna.... They could make tons to cover all the planes. :)
This is a weird set, has some really great Large and amazing Huge minis, but the Medium/Small are mostly forgettable townsfolk and NPCs. I do want to get some - like the Kender (we never actually had Kender minis before!) or the various undead and tinker Gnome, but the many Ansalon Humans and knights and robed wizards are IMHO rather boring. On the other hand all the Huge minis are awesome, so I wish more places sold superboosters separately. I got some from CoolStuffINC but they were the only ones to sell them. It's weird you got the Merrow AND 2 more Rares in your brick, with the 2 Huges that makes it 5 Rares in a brick, lucky! I have however heard people report duplications, or not getting many Large minis in a brick - someone at Minisgallery only got 2 of the same Brood Slaad mini in the brick, and the rest of the boosters just had mediums. I expect the Superboosters will sell out -some like the Young Black Dragon and rider already go for 60-70$ - but the medium singles will be sold super cheap and not sell out soon - except for the Draconians of course.
Really curious about the kender promo pack from the previous video. So far, the DL campaign online has been a blast (none of the players have ready the novels so Krynn is all new to them).
Found out! First off. The two minis you get in each Super booster is PRE set. So the blue and green dragons are ALWAYS together. Same for the Black Dragon rider and that undead thing. And the Lesser Death Dragon is in combo with the Drak siege thingy⚠️And heres the weird thing. Just a tiny story from me..Sooo. One of my favorite online+retail store here in Norway.. well.. they sold up to 26 single Superboosters with 2 minis each. Thats the odd thing, also odd was that the release date was 31.03.23. Got em WAY early! Not complaining! SO! There were 4 left and I got em. Opened them with pounding heart today because I needed a GREEN dragon, two would be nice. I like having more than one. And I got TWO! Perfect! I will use the less good lookin for my Phandelver Campaign and I have a White one from old Elemental Evil set. The Blue one Im not sure. Got plenty blue and bronze wyrmlings/ juvenile for the Stormwreck campaign.
Wow, a lot of those minis look like trash. The sculpts and then the accompanying paint jobs look so bad, and if they are hand painted like someone said about in another video I watch in regards to other WizKids product. Only the really large minis look good, but the majority of the medium sized and all the smaller ones look horrible. This is why I stopped buying all WizKid minis from D&D and Pathfinder. To me it is all poor quality for the last 10 years now.
In regards to the issue of broken miniatures in these sets, you mentioned a way to report it to WizKids. May I ask just how exactly to go about doing this? I got a Grimzod rare figure back in the spelljammer set whose head was not slotted in and glued correctly.
From when they stopped including at least one large figure in a booster? The quality did not improve over 20 years and now, with their prices, those boosters are far from appealing.
I think this is a pretty excellent set from Wizkids, there are only a few “just okay” minis in there and lots of cool ones. One criticism I do have is the Ansalon Human minis being Commons. I think very specific character minis should always be at least Uncommons. What are we supposed to do with 3 or 4 of that bard guy?
Ok I have a collection of about 1,000 wiskids Minis and why is it that the D&D minis are the same price, but the pathfinder ones are 10x better design, paint quality and pose. It is so annoying since this is a cool set, but its just hard to look at. D&D had stepped up the paint quality through wizkids but then the pandemic hit and now they are back to 4-5 years ago quality. Not a good buy in my opinion.
It is so hard to not buy complete sets of these because I just love minis but cases being $4-600 is pretty good convincing. Love seeing these though. Maybe in a year or two I'll be able to start grabbing more. These dragons and minis look mostly pretty good. I would like to repaint a set though.

Originally Caradoc was Lord Lorian Soth's Seneschal. He under the behest of Soth murdered Soth's first wife so that he would be free to pursue the elf maiden Isolde. Caradoc perished in the fire that claimed Drakgaurd keep Soth's home after Soth had thrown away his chance at salvation by defying the gods of order to confront Isolde when Caradoc spread the false rumor to his lord that she had betrayed him and was pregnant with the child of another. As punishment Caradoc was doomed to become a ghost and serve Soth for eternity for his crimes against the gods, humanity, and his Lord. ( Lore at this point has been revamped because of Margret Weiss and Tracy Hickman not approving of Lord Soth time in Ravenloft as a darklord). Caradoc planning vengeance against his lord hides the body of Kitiana uth Matar after Soth retrieves it from the towers of high sorcery hoping to reanimate her to become his undead consort. Soth becomes enraged at Caradoc and not only destroys the ghosts mortal remains ( something the vain ghost had been tending since his death) but begins to choke Caradocs ghostly form , before Soth can finish the task the mists of Ravenloft come for the two , both have committed too many heinous acts and the betrayal of servant and Lord against each other is enough for the dark powers to claim them both for it's own. ( I won't spoil the rest, but the 2 books about Soth while in Ravenloft both by James Lowder are excellent and I highly suggest giving them a read). This of course was 2nd edition lore, it may have completely and it may have totally changed. I know Caradoc was originally white as he had fair hair and pale skin ,that doesn't change the story but I'm just noting it as it's a difference I know of so far.
Just started the video so my comment may not be valid. The super boosters are not worth it, if bought alone. The brick is the best way to go with this and the Fizban's brick. The super booster came with 1 mini for $40. Buying 3 super boosters was the cost of an entire brick. Great review and showcase of the minis. Best review channel!!! I got Lucky to get 2 x Amethyst dragon æs from Fizban and one Sapphire. One Amethyst will be a move-in gift when she have moved into her new apartment. She LOVES purple. And since theres no *cough* Purple dragons minis... except in the Ravenloft boarding game 😏 just repaint it. Also it was called Shadow dragon at the time but got renamed to Purple later on
@@kailebdv don't see the super booster for individual sale on WizKids. I found a different site that says the SB is $50. If true, then it's a little more worth it but not by much. But the entire brick is $170. Definitely some good minis in this brick.

If an average brick were like this I would be into this set but I bet there are more bricks with 3/6 boosters with only medium/small than ones with 5/6.
Nice! Sad though theres no Red Sorcerers of the crescent moon 😔Im more curious of the upcoming Sand & Stone set but I did manage to pre order 4 x separate Dragonlance superboosters aka 8 big minis. Crossing fingers for at least one of not two Green dragons I can use in the Phandelver campaign 😊
@@brotquel1592 no, those are the Red Wizards of Thay. The red robed Sorcerers are of the Crescent moon High Sorcery. Also two different settings on two different planets. The first is set on Toril the latter on Krynn.
Relatively often they come bent, often because of temperature changes over time in the packaging. They can be fixed with the “hot water trick,” but we show you how they look coming out of the box, with the exception of the rider whose arm I fixed before filming. -Theo

Great unboxing, but a lot of those minis, in IMO, are not Wiz Kid quality.
Look closely and compare....that Wight looks like Iron Maidens mascot Eddie!
The pre painted minis look to be getting worse. Cool sculpts, but the paint jobs leave something to be desired to say the least.
So many of the super booster minis are so good! That Treant is absolutely phenomenal! I may have to hunt some of these on the aftermarket!

Red sorcerers are probably gonna be included in the inevitable movie packs.

You’re not guaranteed a rare in each pack?
1 in 3 regular boosters will have a rare and the super booster huges are both rares so you get 4 rares per brick.
