Woohoo! 4,239 seems like a cool number. Shout-out to my late grandmother, the beautiful Beryl, who served in her majesty, The Queen's, Royal Navy during WW2. Rock on.
Thanks for asking such great questions! I am a Gemmology student and I'm learning a lot from these videos and also great to put a face to the industry!! Getting to these shows would be tricky for me so I really appreciate how much detail you go into! THANK YOU!
If you are a Gemology student, you need to know it's labeled as Variety: Red, Species: Beryl according to the G.I.A. It's not called Bixbite, or Red Emerald or Raspberry Beryl
Very Cool . I would love to eventually get a nice sample. 21,222. Serendibite , grandidierite ,benitoite, and bixbite are my must haves before I kick the bucket ...and die from stubbing my toe .
Pietersite is a chalcedony/Quartz With inclusions of Brecciated Amphiboles. It is similar to Tigers Eye in certain ways I’ve actually heard some people Call it Brecciated Tigers Eye, But it is much more rare than tigers I only being found in two locations in the world and the only location where is found in high-quality I believe is Namibia.
@@lapidarydave Awesome! Or maybe in lieu of a set schedule you could do email blasts to your subscribers when you know you’re going to do one? I don’t know if TH-cam lets you do that though.
@@abbaquail youtube def dosent give email list or send DM in anyway but i can make a post on the committee section of my channel which will go out to subscribers i promise to do that next time at least a few hours ahead on the live
@@lapidarydave Awesome. Yeah, I guess it makes sense that TH-cam doesn’t let you do that. I love your videos! It’s harder for me to make it to the gem shows in the SW since moving to the east coast a few years back - your videos help me to get to them vicariously. Thank you for doing them!!!
@@lapidarydave …and it’s crazy to me that some vendors don’t let you film or get at mad at you for filming. I’m sure they have their reasons, but it’s such great promotion. I’ve started following the accounts of most of the vendors and rock hunters I’ve seen you interview. It’s such an awesome way to find out about them.
071054 is my number choice. Thank for the video. And a positive shout out re: Morgan Hill poppy jasper. A favorite. In addition to the 'not to secret surface mine' above Llagas creek, back in the day a climb up El Toro hill with my kids could yield golfball size samples.
A comment. I dont do the other sharey places, LOL. 21212 if its not taken and if its drawn; draw somebody else or who was closer, that helped those other places numbers get bigger.
After seeing that huge pile of purpurite, I don’t think that stuff is as rare as they say it is🤣. Plus also I would never want a stone that’s been treated even if it’s with acid or whatever I’m not into stones that have been treated, Plus I have OCD and a huge fear of chemicals and I would be scared that there’s like acid residue on it
Hey Dave I would like to choose 10121 it's the day I suddenly lost my wonderful husband and love of my life this last year. So yep. 10121 We lived here in Utah. Maybe this date will actually bring me some good luck instead bad fortune. I'll give it a try. Thanks Dave for all you do and you are Awesome, Ocular fantasy!!
Red emerald is a total Misnomer😂. Even though the mineralogical term for the stone is red bberyl, I like Bixbite, such a sexy stone deserves a sexy name. They say that they change the name to Red Beryl from Bixbite to avoid confusion with the other mineral Bixbyite but only a dumbass would confuse the two. If anything they should change the name of Bixbyite to something else and keep red beryl as Bixbite. Dude‘s glasses were tripping me out I mean what’s going on there were his glasses broken and he tried to fix them with the green frames or is that just like the new style , lol

Hi Dave, how do we find out when you are going to do live videos? Is there a way to know ahead of time?
i don’t have a set schedule as of yet due to my chaotic music giging schedule but i will try to get a set ache and let everyone know asap
