I wasn't expecting to stay for an hour-long webinar on gemstones, yet here I am at the end! The power of pretty shinies, perfect pacing, and incredibly easy-to-understand explanations/diagrams/examples compels me! 😍🙇🏿♀️
This video has completely changed my perspective on inclusions. I always saw them as flaws, but now, I appreciate them so much more for what they tell you and see they can actually make the stone much more desirable and beautiful. Thank you!!
Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. It was AMAZING to watch it. I learned so much and I feeling very thankfull for this opportunity. I couldnt pay for a course. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
It is very refreshing to find such a quality content offered on TH-cam. Excellent choice of relevant facts, sound understanding of concepts, and perfect pace and clarity of presenting it all. Thank you!
Such a condensed lecture. I'm a gemologist and totally agree this will be very useful for people trying to get their feet under the table on gemstones.
Really enjoy this webinar! Lily's presentation is really clear and the pace of this presentation is just perfect! very informative and professional! Would definitely looking forward to join more Lily's webinars.
este video es precioso, la explicación de la gemóloga es excelente más allá del tiempo que tenía para explicar cada gema. Muchas gracias! lo estoy viendo un día antes de mi cumpleaños en 2024
This was interesting and informative ,Lily. I've been looking for such a video on TH-cam, to learn more about Gems, their Types, formation and composition. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for this! What an education! I dug for garnets in Idaho in 2019. TOUGH tough work. Hessonite, looks like whiskey and water mixed together. LOL
Awesome thank you for being so clear on what is what with these gemstones! I am a complete newbie, which will become more obvious as I open my mouth,I'm sure. So apologies in advance! The information can be varied, depending on the source,I'm discovering! So thank you for this instruction that holds to consistent standards. You have taught me more in the course of this video than I was able to glean from multiple books! Also it was great to hear the names of stones and their variations pronounced correctly. As I have only been learning from books up to this point, and I have discovered that pronouncing these mineral names does not come naturally to me! Lol! Certainly, without doubt, you have saved me from ridicule, going forward. I can just imagine the embarrassment I would have faced,if I had referred to a cabochon as a caw-bo-chawn!! I shudder! So thank you, sincerely!
Excellent Mam around 15 to 16 yrs back the study was not so deep study and I got to no lot thanku so much I liked it very much I can improve my study material
Lily you did an amazing job of explaining this aspect of gemology. Really enjoyed the seminar, quiz and the questions at the end. Thanks again to Gem A 💎
Thank you ❤️ for sharing .💐 I use crystals for Spiritual & Healing work , and found my knowledge lacking in the varieties of the various stones & crystals . This has been a most informative video .💐 Thank you , ❤️ again . Namaste 🙏❤️🙏👍🙂
Your presantaion is very good and very important. So it's very ususefu or you can present with unfinished gem stone. Then we can easily idintify gem from the ground. Thank you.
I am interested in light reflection, refraction and reaction of gems as well as when it formed and why and condition with which it formed and meta-morphosis if any.
48:19 According to the G.I.A., any Quartz that has needles of Actinolite, Tourmaline or Rutile in it is called Variety: Sagenitic. Calling Quartz "Rutilated" or "Tourmalinated" is using a TRADE NAME, and therefore inaccurate. This mistake that would make a student fail a G.I.A. 20 Stone Final Exam... what more will they say that is incorrect?
About emerald if a berylium is mint greenish, not dark green. So not esmerald colour like. More like a green auquamarine but a light minty green? Is it still considered an esmerald?
Debbie sold the emerald Ring , Got us enough for Soylent Green and Stewed Cousin fer dinner , I liked it very much . Thank you for the Education , Loved this presentation, Your a Gem :) QC
Fyi: Looks like a good video but the sound for me today is so far out of sync with the slides it is impossible to watch. Started it several times and tried to see if it would correct itself further in but no luck.
Love the video there is one more beryl that’s we always forget lol Pezzottaite it’s the ‘Madagascar red beryl’ keep the great service of info coming. 👍
Great lecture. Much information I have heard most all the names but never had them explained as well as you do. Thanks so much Do you have this in book form?
In the very beginning you said those not underlined don't have variety. Explain why the various colors of topaz (white, imperial, London blue etc.) are not variety. This seems to be an error.
I hate that the subtitles are misaligned with the speaking. Please fix that, this is such an awesome lecture and that really makes it so hard to follow
I study gems all the time and for so long Id love to know where to get a fast easy geological degree, if anyone can recommend an online course with a degree offer ?
