The reason the stage 6 clutch didnt work is you had the (white) softest springs fitted, you want the orange springs and then have a mess about with the tension adjusters.
You need the stiff springs for the clutch, weights might be ok once the stiffer springs are in, not many uk 2t scooter videos so thanks for the videos.
Your right ive got an old monkey bike its 24yrs old with a 150cc ooracing engine and it's a hoot. Ive also got a 2018 kawo z1000sx, monkey bikes the best.
Yeah my 180 italjet dragster (vid on channel) was a beast but after you've had a 1000cc or 600 for that matter you wouldn't want to go back, Through rose tinted glasses it was ace but in reality it handled badly would feel slow now but it did still look awesome 😂
When I was a kid, I had a Piaggio NRG that used to hit 80mph. One day, I attempted to push it a little further. The 70s kit when bang. Then as it was free rolling the back wheel locked up. Later, I found out that the cheap gear kit I bought broke some teeth. It would only roll backwards. I push it from Bath to Bristol along the cycle track. Legs still hurt
I'm really enjoying this series, thanks a lot. It's been 21 years since I was ragging around on a 50cc scooter, I wouldn't mind taking one out for a spin having watch this.
Takes me back to when I was 16 (now 30) especially the pov rides & sounds 🥲 keep it up!! I had a fair few mods done to mine when I couldn’t really afford to buy everything I wanted so it’s nice to see someone go all out!!
It's good to see you use the advise you get! Love to see this comming along! I love the ignition, ran those years ago when they just came out! Currently building an hebo manston 2 engine again like i used to have years ago, ran18hp with room for improvement. So this time the goal is 20hp Back to the old days of fun! 👌 Keep uo the good work!
i had so much fun on scooters when i was young, rode a few heavily tuned ones from my friends .. they're fun as hell, not comparable to motorcycles, because they're so light and agile and always want to wheelie, even more than dirtbikes 😁
Fab work,so entertaining. Reminds me of doing similar, 70 plus on a scooter round town, until a 600 blasted past me on a dual carriage way as could not touch me, hangerlane roundabout to ace Cafe sprint. Much laughter from us both on that evening 😂
This video just popped up in my feed, not my type os thing but I watched it and now I want one of them mopeds! I’ve also subscribed as well can’t wait for the next update.
No 110 is quite big and its a 26 or 28 mm carburator that really big för that setup my streetrace aerox has a 92 jet and its perfect but its not as powerfull as mk2 but i still win a race against a mk2
Can't wait for the next video dude this is awesome, my 1st moped was an Aerox R back in 2003 👌 Can't wait another 800+hours for the next video though 😂
I had friends going over 130kmh with a 80cc kit and winning over a xmax 125cc. If done right these scooters can output some crazy power and very reliable. Look out for malossi 80cc kits and their exhausts. Cool build. Just gotta figure out that clutch and springs, and the variator.
Im 47 and want a Moped again :). Back in early to mid 90s, There was no Internet to learn from. i tried things out by myself. was 12yrs old when i got my first Moped, and my friends got moped at 15yrs old. I was in my garage every day, and made my Mopeds go faster and faster. And i also helped all my friends with their Mopeds. At 13yrs old. i could dismantling whole moped engine into pieces and put it back, with no help. When i was 15yr i had already switch to a Yamaha YZ80cc. It was less chance Police would get me. hehe. Fun times.
Your clutch spring is a little soft for your engine, thats why its slow on lower speed and sudden power surge at higher rpms; it wants momentum before clutch engagement. upgrading to stiffer spring might give a better acceleration too.
Should give the boys at pedparts Bristol a ring let them know what your doing they are great will point you in right direction and might Dyno it for you to make sure right jets and springs weights ect are correct...
Idle screw needs highering.. your back wheel should be slightly spinning when on its center stand & when you blip the throttle , power is there straight away. No laggy throttle !
On the stage 6 racing kits we are running 0,6 squish. :) Clutch needs hard springs and then adjustment. and you need to shim the vario, so the belt is a the top of the rear pullies, otherwise the bike will start in " high " gear. :) And if you want to have someting that really works, pull out that stage 6CVT kit and sell it and put in the malossi one, its so much better. :)
Whats the point of removing the S6 parts, selling them, getting ecquivalent malossi parts, if he would still need to adjust 😭 stiffer clutch springs, vario shims and longer belt (stage6 r/t oversize), thats it
we had them here in Cyprus...back in the day when i was 22 yrso...we made them full polini,or mallossi 1 ring piston...stage 6 exhaust...the problem is the water pump always breack when you mod them ..
Get a longer belt for the stage 6 torque converter also stiffer clutch springs the red one (stage 6) You Need another trottle Control because the original didnt open the stage 6 pwk carb fully up
Great project. Did something similar with an Aprilia SR way back in the day. Important tip though.. install a wristband killswitch! I had the throttle get stuck on the SR once and since theres no manual clutch went on a wild bullride ending in a highsider. Still got the scars to prove it....
You need to adjust power band clucth springs, roller weights and central spring, for a better take off, that process its not an easy science, ot takes a bit of fideling around to find the best cvt tune.
Reminds me of a build i done on a Peugeot jetforce thing just screamed, however i did all of the engine work at first but kept the original cdi and was extremely disappointed until i changed the cdi
@MADS145584 well when I built my 95cc rt stage 6. I tried a 33mm carb and it was too large I went with 28mm but then I upjetted slightly. I was running the 95cc rt with the r1400 exhaust which is a different league compared to 70cc
@MADS145584 I used to live in Spain and race them every week. I have been building and racing scooters for over 20 years. Worked for piaggio for a number of years so I do have experience
I don't know where you live in UK but It looks pretty humid so actually this open filter Is not the best for you, you should have your filter under the Seat, possibly a removable panel for Easy inspection. You'll tune way leaner because air Is dryer and noise deeper too!
Try taking off the air filter for power, problem isnt your carb jet , i got a 86cc fully built engine and tried using air filters on it and it wouldnt run like it should , best thing mosquito net and zip tie it to the carb
The Reason the rear pulley didnt work is because you need to dremel some of the engine block away because its blocking the v belt from going right because of the oversize pulley it goes against the engine block
as an american with a 50 cc Chinese 4 stroke scooter i would give my left leg for one of these bikes. they are ridiculously bad ass. give me the choice between a gsxr 1000 and an arox, im goin arox all day
God this reminds me of my two stroke scooter days. I have questions, firstly is a 70cc scooter a moped? i didnt think so. And secondly my 125 typhoon with race exhaust, malossi belt, malossi clutch, variator and carb jetting was actually FAST. That carb will be too big for 70cc. In my experience the air mixture will need a lot of tweaking to get it to run spot on, and each day that will be different... good luck, fun project. PS may be re-titled to fastest street legal 70cc scooter. no 16 year could legally ride that.
Hope you let the kit do a cuple warm ups n cool down befor take for first ride and wen it's a bran new kit they say don't take it Iver 30moh for first 100miles that's haw iv done mine and iv ad no problems
The reason the stage 6 clutch didnt work is you had the (white) softest springs fitted, you want the orange springs and then have a mess about with the tension adjusters.
just my word
The red ones i think would be better i used the red ones on mine
Dude, I was so bummed when mine showed up with only white/orange springs, I thought these S6 clutches came with the red springs. Lame.
Yeah
the stiffness depends on your whole setup and tuning
You need the stiff springs for the clutch, weights might be ok once the stiffer springs are in, not many uk 2t scooter videos so thanks for the videos.
Who needs a 1000cc to have fun?? And the bonus, its a two stroker, very nice. Thank you for sharing. Cheers
Bet you you buy a cheap 1000cc ft sale price though but gotta admit back when I was kid my gilera runner 125 was little animal
Your right ive got an old monkey bike its 24yrs old with a 150cc ooracing engine and it's a hoot. Ive also got a 2018 kawo z1000sx, monkey bikes the best.
I have a kx 125 street legal and it's hilarious fun! absolute wheelie machine - I've never had a bike make me smile and laugh so much 🤣
I have a tuned 100cc Yamaha Sigma I love beating small cars when the light turns green lol
Yeah my 180 italjet dragster (vid on channel) was a beast but after you've had a 1000cc or 600 for that matter you wouldn't want to go back,

I had an NRG also. Savage little scooters
@@awoods3554 I am surprised I'm still here, the way I used to ride that thing around haha
I would’ve smoked you both on my Speedfight 2
Yes bro!! This takes me back to 2003 when I was 16 and doing these things to my Gilera. Thanks for the nostalgia!! 👍🇬🇧👍
I'm really enjoying this series, thanks a lot. It's been 21 years since I was ragging around on a 50cc scooter, I wouldn't mind taking one out for a spin having watch this.

Another cracking video, You can see the improvements in editing and production each upload. Loving the channel,
Love this little series, can’t wait for the next video!
18 years ago I had this model Aerox, these videos really take me back
The reason it's sluggish on take off is due to your clutch springs, you need stiffer ones so u can get your rpm closer to the pipes power range
he wont need to change them as when he goes to get it set up they should change them
you can play with the clutch springs and vario spring for good pick up
I’m in my 40s and I’m watching this like I’m 17 again. Just bought a Malaguti f15 1997 so watching with interest..
Great scooters those, mines used to sit at 60ish with a 70 kit all the time sold it to a guy in California who paid all the export costs
Brilliant Video :) what a screamer on the acceleration!
Try adding stiffer clutch springs and maybe lighter weights. This will allow the engine to get to power and rpm before the clutch engages
finally ! been waiting for part two :D
this brought back the memories of my Ovetto ( aircooled version of the aerox block ) 70cc hebo and also a yasuni . great times
i had so much fun on scooters when i was young, rode a few heavily tuned ones from my friends .. they're fun as hell, not comparable to motorcycles, because they're so light and agile and always want to wheelie, even more than dirtbikes 😁
Everyone in the UK shld have one of these.such great fun can be had on them too.great video bruva loved it ❤
Ahh those 2 stroke Lambretta days, you can't beat a Scooter for fun rides and that 2 stroke smell brings back so many memories
Fab work,so entertaining. Reminds me of doing similar, 70 plus on a scooter round town, until a 600 blasted past me on a dual carriage way as could not touch me, hangerlane roundabout to ace Cafe sprint. Much laughter from us both on that evening 😂
Got to be proud of what you have avhieved on TH-cam this year mate well done loving this series
loveing these episodes cant wait for pt3 nice vids man

Dont forget do modify your housing when u r using the overrange kit
Great content, keep it coming😁
Thank you! Will do!
Love this build series
Need a lot bigger main jet than 110 💯
especialy with that filter
No 110 is quite big and its a 26 or 28 mm carburator that really big för that setup my streetrace aerox has a 92 jet and its perfect but its not as powerfull as mk2 but i still win a race against a mk2
@EltonTiberg My friends with 16 mm carb use 105 jet
@@Venom-uc3pf with a open cell sponge filter though? like malossi? or the stage 6?
@oodiddy9778no Stock air Filter
Never mind the squish, why didn't you port the engine cases and barrel? Few bhp lost there

The oversize rear pulley requires the removal of some material from the engine case to work properly.
stage6 truqdriver has two grooves, choose the one with 38 degrees. your vaioator roller weight, should be at 3.8 to 4.0 grams.
Thanks!
@@BikesofRye 6.5 gram rollers black malossi clutch springs.

to change the jets you dont need to take of the intire float bowl, just remove the bolt on the bottom of the carb
we had them here in Cyprus...back in the day when i was 22 yrso...we made them full polini,or mallossi 1 ring piston...stage 6 exhaust...the problem is the water pump always breack when you mod them ..
Just run a electric pump
@KarelDoormans u can't...there is metal water pumps..but the propeler inside breacks
Great video. Keep up the good work and fun content
I didn’t know what ‘squish’ was either, thanks for the education 😁👍
I had one when I was 16 I did the exact same as your doing now watching this wants me to do it again 😀
Scooter battle incoming?
im loving this channel
That looks such awesome fun especially being a 2 stroke nippy lil ped
Randomly came across your video and realised that these roads are round the corner from my house 😅. Great video mate! Reminds me of being 16 again 😅
The fastest of UK, main moped of guys in tecnical institute in tuscany.
Anyway, very great build
Awesome, sounds like it properly wants to rip 👌
conviniently the speedo "stopped working" dont have to blur it yourself : )
Get a longer belt for the stage 6 torque converter also stiffer clutch springs the red one (stage 6)

that thing's a riot, was laughing along with you!

Omg I want it !! Great video 😅
Wish the videos where like an hour long … apart from that spot in mate I built an Aerox when I was 19 what a little toy. 100% recommend bar conversion
Where going to have to meet up in the summer, I got a 55cc demon, that will shred up to 80mph+
What bikes that ha ha

I would defo change that carb. Said it was too large before. For a 70cc 21mm, it is using 77cc or 86cc then 28mm.
BS i am running a 35mm Keihin on a 70cc HK racing cylinder so, no a 28mm is not to big for his cylinder. :)
i got a peugeot vivacity 21mm 50cc it aint too big
@MADS145584 well when I built my 95cc rt stage 6. I tried a 33mm carb and it was too large I went with 28mm but then I upjetted slightly. I was running the 95cc rt with the r1400 exhaust which is a different league compared to 70cc

@Sausberri9 Moped - A lightweight motorised bicycle that can be pedalled as well as driven by a low-powered petrol engine.
Yeah Steve right an Aerox is a scooter as it’s step through mopeds have pedals to ride like a normal bicycle to start the engine
Great scooter to start with
That permanent high rev sound 😂😂😂
Check if your carb is fully opening the stock throttle can't open larger carbs
is the head cylinder set correctly on this
You have loads of top end power, now you need to gear it right and you'll have a rocket!
hi what did you do to have several audio tracks in different languages on your video? , I love your video!

Should do a 172 or 183 build next
Gilera runner swap my man knows
@ 👊🏾👊🏾
you could have just taking the nut off the bowl to get access to the main jet..saves a couple steps.
less weight on the crank will make the acceleration quicker less resistance so also top speed gets a bit quicker some times not to be noticed
please take this on the motorway i beg you
Back when I was 17 I built a 172sr no joke that thing topped 130mph tucked in
What a little monster, hope you get itcset up correctly. Happy new year, see you in 2025.
The Reason the rear pulley didnt work is because you need to dremel some of the engine block away because its blocking the v belt from going right because of the oversize pulley it goes against the engine block
Better go for a polini evo or malossi mhr set, with a nice yasuni or bidalot exhaust, to have a nice sound
Is this going to be for sale I built one when I was 19 but I've been looking for a properly built one for years now!?
I miss italjet and malaguti days man ❤
I advise installing main jet 140 atleast mate!
Malossi is the clutch to get IMHO.
That and dr pulley sliders.
Have you seen the scooter with the RD/RZ 500cc in it, in the uk ?
I can't believe how rapid that little scooter was. I absolutely can not wait for the next episode to come out. Please don't leave it to long!!!
Which 70 Kit did you buy? Pro or race?
My favorit scooter since i was a kid
I had a speed flight 1 that's used to do 55 and my boys jog rr with a 70 cc bore kit would do 70 his used to sing
as an american with a 50 cc Chinese 4 stroke scooter i would give my left leg for one of these bikes. they are ridiculously bad ass. give me the choice between a gsxr 1000 and an arox, im goin arox all day
Be careful gunning it with a 110 main jet. Probably need to do a plug chop before possibly melting a piston
Is the stage 6 a brand name?
Because stages in modify world means very little
Should have started with an imported mbk nitro comes derestricted as standard 60mph
Why did you go with the 70cc kit instead of 95cc?
Uses to do 65mph on my mbk nitro . Managed 75mph once then the piston came out
Needs some jetting adjustments
God this reminds me of my two stroke scooter days. I have questions, firstly is a 70cc scooter a moped? i didnt think so.
