Ok, so after spending a good 8 hours trying to decipher what the heck was going on in this video and getting stuck on a "Terrainbuilder Error Straight part definition - The selected object file does not contain a straight part" error, I figured it out. You need to follow the "Roads" link in the description of this video and under the "Overview" section of that page there is another link to a github with a complete list of Chernarus and Livonia road p3d's. You will need to download each and every one of those files to your computer and then replace the files in this folder: P:\DZ\structures oads\parts , before Terrain Builder will work with roads properly. Each road type consists of 3 different types of road parts: Straight parts - standard straight parts (usually comes in 6, 12, 25 meter version). Corner parts - standard corner parts (comes in various lengths and angles). Terminator parts - end part (6 meter part where the road fades away). Key parts can also exist in a form of a crossroad. These allow usually a better connection in between different road network pieces. There are several types available in the road part folder (DZ\structures\Roads\Parts) - all beginning with kr_ and they are either T or X shape (3 or 4 possible directions). These crossroads can be selected during the key part creation wizard and are defined in the upper menu under Roads > Define roads and crossroads. **Example**: asf3_6 = straight, asf3_10 25 = curved, asf3_6konec = terminator/end road, kr_t_asf3_asf2 = crossroad, kr_x_asf1_asf3 = X crossroad, asf2_6_crosswalk = road with crosswalk for city. ect. Also, once you actually start placing the road parts, if you can't see them, make sure you have View>View Roads checked on at the top menu in Terrain Builder.
Hey Guys, I have a problem in Terrrain Builder that I can't seem to solve: Today, I have tried placing roads for the first time. I can place the Road Parts and edit them in Buldozer, no problem. But when I try to export my map to .pbo, I always get the same error message: "A binarised copy of DZ\structures oads\parts\mud_6.p3d is missing and needs to be built in temp" I have tried using different methods (using Shape Lines, using the Road Tool, just placing Roads like objects), but nothing works. I have even tried reloading the asset library into the Project and unpacking the Game Data again. Nothing works. For some reason the Files for the Road Parts are missing in the P:/temp folder, even though all other objects used in the Project are inside the temp folder. Any ideas...?

Hi - where is the link for the Zip Folder for Road Parts?
community.bistudio.com/wiki/DayZ:Using_Road_Tool_in_Terrain_Builder
Is there any way to export the location and rotation of each road piece? I would like to build a graph using the dayz road data somehow.
Emf I think file export emf
I’m guessing I can’t do this for console?
Yep
This no longer works. Is there a new method?

copy a p3d and rename it
@@MatthewLongtime and then use the renamed file wiith the road tool?
@@Parabola001 do you have the unbinarised files for that
so roads on dayz have to be objects not using shapes like arma 3?
Yep
Now if only I didn't have 2500 road lines smh lol
