- Super Easy Tape Organizer
In this video I make a tape organizer storage rack. These are the simplest, easiest, and most effective tape shelves I have ever made. They hold almost any size roll of tape and can be installed anywhere in your work space. Trough style tape storage allows you to get to the roll you need without obstruction or interfering with the order of the other tape. Thanks for watching!

Did a search on "tape roll organizer" and found this. Awesome..! Definitely going to build be up one of these. Thanks.
Awesome! Thank you!
Not sure that I need 4 of them, but definitely 1. This is one of those 20 minute projects that makes being in the shop way more enjoyable. Thanks Justin!
Sure does. I think you can do it in 10 minutes. It took me 17 and I was filming.
Best one I've seen on youtube so far... Sorry Adam Savage.
Shhhh...You don't want Adam to hear...
Subscription? You earned it, alright. No BS, no fluff. Good narration, straightforward camera work. Nice finished product. Excited to explore this channel.
Thanks for the sub! I hope you like the rest!
I looked everywhere for simple plans to hang duct or ribbon. Perfect!
Happy to help.
Great video! I built this in less than 10 minutes and now have a great tape storage solution. Thank you!
Fantastic!
Thanks for the plans and video. Even I, with limited shop skills, was able to build and install these tape organizer shelves!
Awesome! That's great to hear!
Perfect timing, this is what I was looking for in my garage /woodworking area. Space is at a premium. I have some scrap wood that will be perfect for this project. Nice explanation and techniques used. Thank you for sharing you knowledge.
Glad I could help!
That's a whole lotta tape! I like the simple design.
Yes it is. Thanks Bruce.
I have been looking everywhere for plans or to buy something for duct tape and ribbon. Got to say, yours is the best I have ever seen! And super easy to follow. Way to go! I loved how many you could fit! Thanks!
Wow, thank you!
Built one today. Added a French cleat to it. Working great.
Fantastic!
A completely great idea, as well as simple! For my needs and use, I will most likely create an additional small gap in several places along the "V" bottom. This way any potential sawdust (or regular dust) doesn't build up, and so I don't have to take out all of the rolls of tapes to vacuum it out.
That's a great idea!
We need more videos! You're projects are so good!
Thanks!
Best shelf ever!
Thanks!
Great design and well-delivered. Thanks!
Thanks Clayton!
I really like your straightforward ecplanation
Thank you
Just finished them! Super easy and works awesome!
Great to hear! Thanks for letting me know!
Looks perfect! Off to the garage, thanks.
Right on!
Clever design, thanks for sharing.
Thank you too!
This is way better than my solution. Totally ripping this off!
Please do Marsh!
Nice and simple project. I plan on building a similar design soon
Awesome! Good to hear.
Brilliant, but simple. Good job and thanks for sharing.
Thanks Tom!
That's a good one Justin.
Thanks Kevin! I did know you watched my stuff.
Awesome! Thank you. Simple and quick.
You're welcome!
finally i can sleep at night , i had nightmares of my tape rolls jumping off the shelf at night and roaming my shop , just rolling where ever they like ...
thanks for the most effective tape shelf ever...
Ha! The nightmare is REAL!!
Great idea and video.
Thanks Billy!
Great idea. Thanks!
You bet!
Quick and easy, and got me organized! Now I can work on larger projects by saving shop space and taking back counter space :)
Liked and sub'd!
Awesome to hear you made one! Thanks Marc!
excellent love this video!!!!
Glad you like it!q
EXCELLENT 🏁
Thanks!
❤️👍 someone who has as much tape as me!
;)
Awesome brother awesome thank you definitely one of the most unorganized and frustrating items in my shop is tape all kinds of tape all over the place I'm a mechanic a carpenter a construction worker and firefighter so I've got every kind of tape you could imagine and they're all over the place and I always stack them up somewhere and I can never get to the ones I need and when I do I have to move 10 others so this really really works well!!!! Thanks again and you definitely earned a subscription here.
I have an awesome zip tie/wire tie organizer/ measuring device I think you will like DM me and I'll send you a picture is pretty cool, looks awesome and actually functions really well and has helped out greatly. Had NO idea I had SO MANY ZIP TIES!!! HAHA
Thanks for the sub Jon! You can send me a message by going to the about tab and click "view email address" .
Well done
Thanks!
hahah. Short and sweet! Nice build man.
Thanks!
Exactly what I need 👍👍👍👍👍👍
I'm glad it was helpful Shane!
Thanks for the idea.
You bet!
Thank you ... nice...
;)
This would probably work for spray paint cans too?
Maybe. But I have a better design for spray paint....
I notice you cut outside to in using the sliding miter. Is that recommended?
I think I did that to get a better camera angle.
Best tape holder i have seen yet ! ( I have watched a LOT of videos ). Thanks for sharing.......the only thing I cant get my head around is how the back of the mount (which is angled) gets mounted to the wall, I must be missing something but I just don't get it. Just joined the group 👍
Sorry, I didn't make that clear. The end pieces have a 90 degree back that sets against the wall. Not easy to see and I didn't explicitly point that out in the video. Thanks for joining the group!!
Nice, Looks like you could also hold spray-paint cans in there.
Almost. I have another rack for my paint that is similar to this design.
Do you sell built units?
Unfortunately, I don't. But they are very easy to build.
Nice simple idea! I may make one for my French cleat system. But how in the world did you end up with sooo much tape?? 😊
Oooo that would be nice for a French cleat system!
I'll get my son to help make me one for my pops!
It's super fast and super easy!
And here I am thinking I have a lot of tape LOL great tip thx
;)
Nice solution! Also, that's a lot of tape, I think you might have a problem! ;*)
I think you're right.
haha i was thinking the same, great solution thanks
FIRST!!
DAMMIT!
Yup, I'm super fast!
Good intro....made me laugh, thanks
You're welcome ;)
Wow - I thought I had a lot of tape!
Ha! Yeah, it adds up.
Wood...my nemesis. I hate wood working, but I need a place to put my tape rolls. Im tired of buying tape every project! I have about 50 rolls of masking tape alone! And this stuff goes bad with age. Same with tesa or electrical tape...Arrrggg...
Also, I have tools, lots of tools, yet somehow you managed to use only tools that I dont have lol. Cool video though. Just messing around.
It's a pretty easy project for how much it helps.
I wish you still did project videos that all of us could build. Now it's all fancy, expensive tools and computers. Sad.
I know what you mean! Too much math!
For inspiration purposes only...
@@danthemakerman right! I hate the maths.
@@Makebuildmodify Justin inspires me to give up. He's just so awesome and dreamy.
Mate, you sound like Tom Cruise!
Show me the money.
Ez
yup.
I know what OBS looks like and that wall is NOT plywood.
;)
Next time dont sounds so excited when making the video. It was overwhelming. Haha smh great video though thanks
Well, it is a tape holder. How excited should I sound? : )
@@Makebuildmodify ......touché sir
Also First!
Ok dreamy Justin... You said you have plywood on the walls when I can clearly tell it's OSB! I won't stand for this kind of fibbing... Unsubscribe!
Seriously nice and simple, well done!
Well, I guess I can put to rest the question of whether the resolution on my camera is good enough or not...
