13:45 - Glad to see that the platinum trim has the bench seat option! I absolutely HATE how some companies don’t have a bench seat option in the higher trims. Many families want a people-hauler and want the 8 passenger capacity. Makes zero sense to not have the bench seat option in all trims.
I doubt they are an afterthought at all, they are a totally new layout up high where your eyes are closer to the road. Larry mixture between a traditional layout and an HUD. Most certainly not an afterthought.
the thing is they they just look attached to had they don’t look intergraded in to the platform at all. The design is lazy. They just tools screens and placed on the dash board. That top display shouldn’t be interfering with the windshield at all!
Ford in particular have lost their minds have u seen what a base Escape cost after taxes and fees... like $32k thats insane only because almost all of its competitors are anywhere from $8-$5k cheaper and the Escape ain't $8k better than any of its competitors. Jeeps another one whos gone overboard with their pricing the only american brand offering somewhat acceptable prices is Chevrolet.
Closest thing right now is the Chevy Traverse. It's 'technically' midsize, but almost as big as the previous generation Tahoe. Not sure what the exact criteria of fullsize vs midsize, but somehow it's still classified as mid.
Honestly the only reason why it won't beat Tahoe or Suburban because of the engine. As long as Chevy is still pumping out their V8s, they'll still be king among SUVs. Wish Ford would put another V8 in their SUVs
Ford really put a lot of thought into the details and the quality of the interior materials look more premium. I'm tall, so I like the screen set high up instead of everything behind the steering wheel. One thing I would change are the touch pads. I prefer buttons for the radio and main menu as well as a tuning knob on the center stack. The side profile doesn't look much different , but it's designed more to make the best use of space, so I'm not sad about that. I really like the split tailgate and the wiper up top finally. I had a 16 Expedition Platinum and that tailgate was really clunky and not fun to use.
AGREE. I’ve been less critical of the digital buttons after driving the Rivian. This new Expedition has it all! I was worried that the third row didn’t fold flat because of that 40-20-40 split design but so happy to see in this video that the middle seat appears to fold down flat. I’ll be driving this beast in two years!
It looks like Ford is trying to make the Exped look like a Yukon copy lmao, but there 2 things that surprised me as I see it: the new split hatch, and the folding middle seat in the 2nd and 3rd row.
I noticed you intuitively reach for the tilt/telli button on the steering wheel which is no longer there. That's another place the buttons should have stayed.
The Ford Expedition is a full-size SUV known for its spacious interior, powerful engine, and advanced safety features. It's a great choice for families who need a lot of room and want a comfortable ride.
I never understand this type of comments. Rear wiper being located at the bottom is better for visibility!!! It wipes more useful and important to see angles! Do you ever drive?
I wish I could put that incredibly luxurious looking interior and light grey leather seating of this Expedition Platinum into the new Expedition Tremor with an all black exterior. A question. Can you lay both 2nd and 3rd row bench seats down and have the entire rear area be fully flat? Thanks.
Many forget Ford ownership/partnership with jaguar and land-rover results in similar designs and engineering, etc and Diamler/Chrysler/Dodge which many platforms include Durango and 300 Mercedes for like 20 year old. That is why I wish TH-cam reviewers rather than just try to make a quick buck do actual research when making a huge deal about Honda/GM and future Honda/ Nissan. Or for many years Toyota/Subaru/Yamaha/Mitsubishi. Another is Mr Honda used gm pickup to transport his racing motorcycles across America and loved GM pickup trucks.
The facelift is a big improvement, and the split gate is pretty cool. However, the interior is kind of a mess. I'd say much better than the previous model though. I'd take the Tahoe over this still... or better yet, the 2025 Yukon over them both.
Was at the Texas State Fair car show yesterday. Every single car, from all manufacturers felt like the head rest was pushing my head forward. All the new vehicles were incredibly uncomfortable in this regard. I watch a lot of car reviews and Ive never seen anyone address this issue. Its almost as if the people who design the seats have never sat in them.
That's a very old issue. Some people would reverse them when possible or bend the supports. My current vehicle has power headrests that tilt back far enough to meet my needs.
A WTF moment is what I had when I saw this. They experimented too much with this and that’s the thing about the automotive world right now. A lot of companies are competing so hard to beat the sales of rivals that they’re forcing some vehicles to look good and you know… it doesn’t always play out right. Originally in the leaks I thought maybe they did take some inspiration from the refreshed Tahoe and suburban. Now I see a mixture of that and the Yukon in this. That may or may not be a good thing but with those 24’s to my eyes, this looks like an exotic lizard…. Platinum trim. Ik that may sound bad that’s the truth. The side of this is unique looking. The rear quarter area at least and the back lights being disconnect from the outer lights looks aftermarket. Idk if anybody else sees it but doesn’t that dash area look like similar to what Toyota did with the new Prius and the BZ4X/solterra made by Subaru. But if we can get over the way it looks, it’s as good as it gets when it comes to space and practicality.
@@dtay8913what he’s saying is that h does not like Licolnified ford. This shit is ugly. Lincoln looks way better. I mean Toyota does way better job at lexusifying their Toyota models than actual Lexus

I love big suv because I am tall I have Long leg I need lots a legroom them anywhere I go. I don't like to downsize I have Problems with it since high school they have a minivan was too small I like a full-size van have room for everyone room for cargo. Full-size van is better than minivan. school bus are best for any students.
I’m in the market for a full size SUV. The 2024 Expedition is towards the top of the list. The 2025 is at the bottom. I can’t stand the gloss black trunk. It looks like an old car when they replace a door with a different color door from a junk yard. The steering wheel shape and controls aren’t for me. The center screen looks nice, but the dash screen is ugly to me. Hopefully other people like it if they buy it.
It looks nice, but so extreme, I think. Who needs this much car? Hows the interior quality compared to the Explorer? Explorers have been looking pretty poorly built with panels all flopping around and very cheap materials.
The interior of this car reminds me of one those old people who still dress up like one of alt eco kids from early 2000s riding a BMX. Like bro, you’re old as hell and you’ll never experience your life as a teenager again. I know you miss it, smoking, drinking, concerts, having mindless sex, cheatings, but y’all mfs getting old. That’s exactly what the interior of this car is. Y’all just get a grand Highlander.

About $98,000 for a fully loaded top trim Expedition! Now a fully loaded Infiniti QX80 Luxe looks like a great bargain, a fully loaded QX80 Luxe costs about $96,000. The QX80 comes with air suspension, better leather, far more premium, and better looking...the QX80 also comes with luxury services. Ford at least put some wood, carbon fiber or nice leather on that empty area on the dashboard...Expedition or Ford written nicely on that empty, bland spot would look better too.
What an ugly SUV inside and out. I though the Jeep Wagoner was ugly, especially on the outside but the ride and drivetrain make it nice, unlike the Expeditions.
