UPDATE: Amazon nerfed the heck out of Mjolnir I'm afraid friends, it's now a 30% Weaken, you can no longer go infinite Gavel with it, and you can't socket a gem to it either :(
Will provide a new updated tank guide in the near future, rest of the build still works fine, just Mjolnir is no longer OP.
*Also we didn't have Ankh during this video, but I recommend going for Ankh (Amulet for PVP Rewards track) it's really, really good - better than Lost Stopwatch.
After a hurtful amount of time farming hammer and stopwatch , and also upgrading stopwatch this makes me sad lmao. Cant wait for the updated version.
So the lack of a taunt gem in SOM makes the hammer not so tanky anymore?

you also cant switch to hammer and dodge when you have the wall equippep. you simply cant dodge with either of one now
Mighty gavel finally has grit - "Reworked the Justice for All Ultimate (again). It now gives Mighty Gavel Grit, an 20% increased crit chance, and reduces the duration of all other hammer active cooldowns by 10% on hit"
What do you guys recommend for named jewelry or what perks should we aim for as tanks?

Honestly, i think running Odo with carn gem, Michael, and Ankh could be particularly spicy. Yes, ud lose on stability with shield and the 30% DR on flail ability with tower shield, but damn the amount of incoming healing from both healers and just blocking would be insane.

The Mjolnir artifact hammer no longer adds 50% weaken, its only 30% now. You can also no longer add a socket to the weapon for Runeglass or taunt gem. So you if you do not use the Stopwatch artifact with this Hammer then you cannot taunt with it at all.
Going to try this for pve and then try the same setup but with flail instead of sword for some 3v3 pvp! I know flail dps is pretty bad, but I like the idea of a heavy tank support that can cleanse debuffs, aoe heal, and apply max weakens for my squishy dps friends!

Would be nice to know where these drop from. NWDB tells us the name of the mob but not where that mob is. and then it's messed up for some as there are 2 different thorpes in the world and its telling you to get it from the wrong one.
just a queestion but wit hthe flail and shield setup ur not using any carnellian gems , how does one taunt without carnelian gems? o.o

hey baggins, let me ask, this video was recorded on ptr? i see in you video your great hammer (Spark of Mjölnir) with a gem socket, but i can't use Gem setting Pins on it, this perk is not allowed in gypsum kiln tier 5

M3 I think you need to go more defense with SS. Some of those mobs hit like a truck and without the defense perks can outright break your shield with a single hit.
Honestly if you know the content you can actually run a face tank build with ease (hp bounces up and down but easy sustain without a healer) and only needing to block some certain moves, (solo killed tempest hardest mutation with 1 dps clearing towers)
i have 4 perk refresh, a wh with refreshing gavel, same skill tree and am hitting 2 mobs but my cooldown only goes to 8sec. What am i doing wrong?

ive been hearing that flail is hard to hold aggro with. anyone else having that issue? i dont wanna invest too much in a tank build with it if it cant hold aggro
I haven't had an issues, I'm running a aggro gem as well as a aggro perk.
Is Gritward better than Enchanted Ward?

All these artifacts (with the exception of Odo) are obtainable in Expeditions... does the Expedition need to be mutated for them to drop or can you do them in normal?

Its a pain, but balancing them as much as possible is key. 1 point in each once they start swapping around.

Tank main here and honestly never liked the hammer for tank pve, the push back tends to ruin the monster grouping for the dps, and no range to bring monsters in to the group, hatchet side with throw for tank seems to work way better tbh.
Intresting point 🤔 Imma try that out 😁. The gigant hammer is alot of fun tho but imma try to use the hatchet to see if its more effective
@@blackalphadragon96 it covers the downside of a tank that is range pulling and range, and it really shows in garden of genesis, my main build only uses infected throw, beserk and the passive to make block throw. Last boss of genesis you can hatchet throw over the bolders to continue hitting the boss because of the ark etc.
@@blackalphadragon96 also if block spam tank doesn't feel as nice you can run refreshing ward sets and with sword and shield skill that heals at end of use you can easily face tank and spam aoe aggro and it heals every recast.
How r u swinging that hammer so fast? Also why am I doing next to zero damage in 3v3 with my tank build?! I don't fkn understand. My GS is almost 700. 250 cons 350 str.
Hey guys! I am new to New World and right now leveling my first character through msq. I mostly used bow and greatsword, but I dont really enjoy the combat with those weapons very much. I want to tank later on, but I prefer agile/mobile combat and I am interested in playing Void Gauntlet but not a must. Therefore I am also open for DPS, if a decently agile/mobile tank is not possible.
In a perfect world, I would like to play an decently agile/mobile Tank or Bruiser, who is able to tank or DPS endgame content in PvE and still not be useless in PvP. For Tank I was thinking about an INT based build with the artifact Greataxe paired with VG and the Artifact Ring for even more sustain. Or would that be better for DPS?
For DPS I was thinking about a DEX based build with Musket and the Artifact VG.
I dont really care about my build being the best for pvp or pve. I just want to enjoy both pve and pvp content and do fairly well while doing so, without having to farm multiple builds for everything, since I dont really have a lot of time to play.
Did anyone already experimented with those ideas and can share their results?
If I decide on a build, would it be better to swap weapons now or still stick to bow/gs for msq, since all my other weapons are not really leveled?

This is so helpful but only really if you're end game. How about making a levelling guide for new players who haven't got much of a clue and are still figuring out the game but know they would like to tank at some point, or be a dps. How do WE level? What skills do we level? What gear should/could we use? Much appreciated.

U literally do quests and side quests and take into consideration the weapons/stat's that he's using and build your armor set around that. You don't need this stuff till end game. It's all just a little initiative. You don't need to go get the unique flail because you're not level 65 instead use the best flail that you get at your level
With questing I went from brand new player to level 65 farming mutated dungeons in 4 days I have nearly every skill at 100-150 and that's just 4 days so it's not hard to get to end game. I had the time because it was a weekend and I didn't have work so I grinded maybe 8-10 hours each day

How do u have 605 atribute points total ? I'm 65 and i only have 535. What haven't i done yet to get 70 more points and have 605 like you ?Pls someone xplain to me cause i googled as soon as i saw in this video that he has 605 points in total while im lvl 65 and i only have 535 point, im missing 70 points and google isn't updated to this new angry earth knowldge. Help me :(
Is all your gear 700gs as the stats go up the higher the score, he is also using food which gives 42 of a stat with all of this you should have the max stats

The artifacts are so OP. Like, who COULDN'T tank with that gear? I'd be more interested in a non ez mode guide tbh.
