Thank you Gabi for going the extra mile and showing us the long term wearability. So many artists just review the application, but don't provide information on how it lasts. For those of us who apply in the morning and then don't really have time to look in a mirror again until bed time, longevity is the most important part!

Elf is my favourite brand. I’m in my mid-50s and Elf works well on my skin. Thank you for this review, of course I’m going to purchase some.
Elf is a great brand. I really love a lot of their products and they are literally the master of drugstore dupes. I didn't love this foundation and I don't like the concealer anymore for under my eyes but I know that a lot of people are super happy with it. Their quality is exceptional for the price.

I use a lot of elf products and they really are amazing!
Amazon carries it as well.
I got it on Amazon but it's such a challenge to color match online. I have heard that it is also available at Walmart.

I like that you use a mix of drugstore and HE, I feel like that's what people do in real life.
I bought the lightest shade. I useit for light to light/ med coverage. I have smooth clear normal to dry skin, but I have noticed oil in t zone since being on hrt. I'm 49. It looks so good. Undetectable & lasts well though day. I usually wear a tinted moisturizer or skin tint. They tend to be dewy. This is satin. I like the change. Esp with summer heat here in Georgia. I really like it & I dislike many foundations.
I'm so happy to know that it worked out for you! I do think that this is definitley better for normal to dry skin types. My skin was too oily for it.

The "ain't no man writing this review" got me 😂. As someone who regularly checks reviews of products before I buy them online, those types of *obviously false* reviews crack me up.
Also, I'm intrigued by the lip stain. If I do lip color I usually go for a liquid lipstick (otherwise it gets on my teeth 😬😄). I might try a stain and see how it goes.
Stains are nice because they don't feel dry like a liquid lipstick. They just stain the lips and then you can put anything that you want on top of it like a gloss or a balm.

I too loved the ELF Camo concealer but at a while it stopped working.

Yes I definitley need a better shade but regardless if that, it's just too shiny for me after several hours of wear. The formula doesn't work well for my skin type
Have you checked to see if they changed ingredients in the concealer. I've had that happen and products that I once loved no longer work.
I don't know why it's so long before new products from Elf are accessible in Canada. It's the same thing with NYX.

I too stopped using the ELF camo concealer because it just didn't last.

I had trouble in Walmart finding my shade too. The warm shades are very yellow and the cools are very peachy. There is a huge difference between the fair and light shades of the same undertone. I ended up getting light warm but it was a little too dark. Fair warm would have been way too light.
Hey Cheryl! Yes!!! I think the same thing. The shades are a bit off. I'm not sure why the warm shades are SO YELLOW. I can't imagine a lot of people would have that skin color. I am glad that I am not the only one that felt that.
I love this foundation.
Elf products are fabulous... however I have been chasing a good foundation for too long ..so I have now started to put my own bronze tint into a quality face cream and I've found that works just as well. Also putting a blur product over the top helps to cover pores and flaws.
That's a good idea! What blur product are you using and which bronze tint are you reaching for the most?
My husband buy me makeup including foundation he use to be a makeup artist in vegas and California. I prefer the first foundation elf made it made my skin look great haven't tried the new one i like there makeup line. My daughter loves there clear mascara it's not heavy on her lashes she has all of the makeup line.

Hi Gabi, It's been a while since I have watched your fab. channel. I have been an ELF user for 10 +yrs. Have yet to try this foundation. Yes out of stock. I am similar to your coloring. I'm a gold/ warm base, med to tan level. Hard to find the right shades.

I’m amazed at how you you fixed it! I thought, “No way - that’s too dark.” But ultimately, it looked great.
I also disagree a bit about how it wore: I think it looked really good after 10 hours.

I have this foundation n love it! I apply it sparingly with a brush n then go back over with a slightly damp sponge. I live in Arizona n this stuff stays on! Not once has it transferred to my mask! Very long wearing.

I’m 62 with med warm combo skin. I purchased shade 33. To give it the very best wear test possible I used no moisturizer, no primer and no concealer or CC. I only used what I needed, and applied it with a brush. I was amazed at the beautiful look and dry down of this satin foundation on my face. I used a bit extra on light /dark pigmentation areas and it looked beautiful. I then Paired it with a subtle satin blush and was amazed at the look it gave my complexion! After wearing it virtually on a naked face for 3 days, I knew that the only thing I needed to add was moisture. My skin feels so set (without powder) and breathable because there’s no extra “goops” on my face to prevent it from setting properly or causing it to breakdown prematurely.

I am a foundation freak, wearing all different, trying all the time, enjoying many, giving away some. I'm wearing this foundation today. I love it I wear different foundations daily this one has been on two days in a row at least three times. for reference Friday I was Tom Ford, yesterday I was tir tir , both looked good, this one I don't know it's just got something. Will be wearing again tomorrow. I am also going to try a darker shade, this one is great but darker may be better 😊

It separated on me too. Especially on my cheeks.
Question regarding stuff on your face that requires immediate attention.
Newly trying foundation. At work cleaning and some of the cleaner with whatever germs wiping up splashed onto my face. Quickly used hand sanitizer to clean the area yet wiped off the foundation. Did not have foundation with me so had no foundation in that area for the rest of the day. Would a simple add on and apply more foundation from a tube or bottle suffice? So much work goes into the initial face prep that I'm not familiar with touch up in cases where the foundation is removed. Wondering about touch ups.😊

I have 50s, very dry, very sensitive skin, and I did try this. The good things were the coverage, the feel, and the applicability (?). It reminded me strongly of the One/Size foundation. However. . . I have very fair, super pink skin, and this oxidized really badly on me. And, oddly enough, it was better if I stayed inside, but If I left the house (summer in Texas here), the oxidization process happened really fast and severely. So, unfortunately this was a no go for me.
Aaaaw that sucks! That's too bad that happened for you especially if you liked the finish.
I bought this. I have mature skin. It looked good for about 6 hours. By the 8 hour mark it was patchy. By the end of my 12 hour shift it definitely needs to be redone.

Omg and only $8! Honestly I love me some high end foundation, but i recently just bought and returned the new Charlotte Tilbury new glow skin tint foundation. Um it was literally a highlight that I paid almost $50 for. This is not here yet in my area but for the price might as well try!
Oh that foundation would be atrocious on me. I don't handle those glowy products. They slide right off my face within two hours.
What do you have to use to remove the lip stain? I was going to purchase the lip stain and brow products and was curious. 😊
Its comes off easily with a regular facial cleanser and a washcloth.
Elf used to have a lip product remover presumably for liquid lippies it was really good!

Gabi, regarding the Elf foundation.....didn't like this at all! BUT, I'm not sure if it's because the color was not "your color" or if it WAS the foundation at all.
I say that because when you added your concealer and blush and setting powder (all not Elf), it just looked cakey and thick, but we don't know IF that is "product specific" or not!!!! Please, for future tutorials, please try to get foundation color that is more like you!!! That one thing would have helped us judge, because then you wouldn't have had to spend the time MAKING it right for your skin color!!! (And BTW ~ YOU are a gorgeous BLANK PALLET no matter what. And I LOVE that you show us these things!) Thanks for everything!

t took me 3 bottles to get the right shade (finally) but I did get it! I find ELF to be difficult to shade match, as evidenced too, by your poor face, Miss Gabi! But I really really do like the formula. I wish it had spf in it, but hey, I'll just wear it underneath in my moisturizer. Well done, ELF. And only $8!!!
Would this be good for dry, 45 year old skin (extremely bad fine lines around the eyes). I was getting ready to try the Elf Hydrating Camo one. 😢 I tried Tart Creamy concealer in the store and it was wonderful. Too expensive 😢 My budget is small
Any fruit extracts will have lots of antioxidants... especially goji berries, which are very high! I didn't know this foundation had it!
It does look oily and I like you have very oily skin but I do want to try it and just see for that price so I ordered.

Estee Lauder Double Wear looks amazing on my skin type and so does L'Oreal Infallible Fresh Wear. Those two foundations make me look completely flawless in real life and on camera.
I really like ELF and I’ve tried their foundations.
I’m in the light medium shade family and honestly, I wasn’t hopeful when I first purchased this foundation. For me it actually worked super well, and I’m combo/dry leaning with my tret and a bit more combo/oily when I take a break. I bought it before it had been in everyone’s PR because Satin Matte got me along with the $8 price point. It legitimately looks so nice and while it’s not the longest wearing, if you prime and set it well, it lasted me through a pretty hot day at a concert!

@@GlamGirlGabi I just can’t with all of the fake reviews anymore 😅. I use strictly my trusted content creators that have similar skin tones and type to make my choices or just take a giant leap of faith in my own deductions. As far as primer for oiliness, if you haven’t tried the Glow Recipe Blur Drops, I have been LOVING them for keeping it toned down!!! I’m not the biggest fan of many of their products, but these….HG status for me. And when I’m expecting to be out in the heat or out doing a lot, they are a lifesaver. Between that, my Givenchy setting powder and the O/S matte setting spray, most times I don’t have any separating or patchiness. To bring a bit of life back, I’ll use a bit of the D’Alba spray serum too. I’m 42, so settling into fine lines really had me changing a lot of things in my routine, but I can honestly say, I have enjoyed watching you! I’m still pretty new. I’ve only known about you for a month and you’re so fun!! So yeah, sorry about the novel 💀💀💀 but hope these things will work for you! Oh and I’m in the shade 31 Medium Neutral if that helps with any more online shopping for your perfect shade!
ELF has many good products for the $. I have the same impression as you with their concealers. The concealers have become very cake’y. The foundation I believe you’d love is Catrice. I discovered Catrice when I was in Europe many years ago and was so impressed, I brought 6 bottles with me back to the U.S. I often try new foundations, but always return to Catrice.
