Hello Julie, very pretty makeup, Grace Kelly's class with this hairstyle. You are always kind to your subscribers, you have a beautiful soul. Thank you for your video🥰🥰🥰
Thank you so much, Audrey!🥰 How are you enjoying your summer? We've been getting lots of storms here but they don't last long. Just long enough to make our grass beautiful. Do you celebrate fathers day in France? Our celebration is this weekend. My husband is golfing with my dad, son and my daughters partner while my mom, daughter and I go shopping. It's going to be a great day! (we're celebrating one day early) It's actually tomorrow.

I can't believe how quickly you went from thinking about moving to then buying and selling. Good on you. I procrastinate for ever before I make a decision.
Right?! Linda, I told Dave I wanted to move and within two days we looked at a house. In just over two weeks we bought a home and by the end of 6 weeks we sold our home. It all happened so fast. I'm so excited to start fresh in our new home.🤗 I feel like when you start trusting your intuition you become more free. We are, Jenn. That monitor showed texture and discolouration that I can't see in my 10x's mirror. It's crazy. I should have taken a photo to show you what I was looking at. I changed the setting on it yesterday and I think I look a little more like myself. Goodness! Talk about playing with ones self confidence.🤣

@@JulieMeikle hi Julie I use a few different ones! Dermatology, La Roche posay anthilious tinted sunscreen and one that I purchased from my facialist. I’ll intermix sometimes if tint is too dark.

My husband and I did hair for a long long time. We had our own salon in a hotel for years. When it went out we went to a spa, where I did hair and some make up. Brides made me nervous sometimes. You look so young. I love your hair like that. You never popped up on my feed before. I just bought the Elf 30 neutral and I really like it. I used to wear the more expensive brands but now that I dont work much ...I am more conscious of money and found some good drugstore make up.. All we see is beautiful fine skin ...no texture. Good luck with the moving ..I hope we never have to move. I can not imagine going through everything. Take care. ❤❤❤
That's a dream to have a business with your husband. You would both understand the ups and downs of working in the industry. We get the keys to our new home August 21st. I'm so excited. Brides made me nervous too. It wasn't the bride making me nervous, it was my horrible time management skills topped with the chaos that can happen with the bridal party and family coming in and out.
@@JulieMeikle We loved the business so much. We had the best clients. It is hard on the body though. Enjoy your new house and enjoy your hairstyling. I am sure your clients love you. I will subscribe. ♡♡♡
Great video! I really appreciate the tip about using primer if it's a while since you applied your skincare. This explained my foundation not looking great yesterday. 😬 I had to cool down for a while first. 🤣 Fellow 52 year old. 😁
It really is, Gina. I get so lost in it that I can sit there for hours and not realize it. It's so much fun. Not for my poor back and bum though.😄 I'm a little stiff getting up after sitting that long.
Hi Julie, Fellow Canadian here in Toronto.🇨🇦 Just found your channel. I have to say, you look 10 years younger than your age. Therefore I want to use whatever skin care you are using! 😁 Thanks for the review! I'm going to try it. 😊👍
Hi Lauren! I’m so sorry for the delayed response. I’m in Ottawa. 🤗 I’ll be honest, I’m pretty basic with my skincare routine. I’ve had quite a few skin treatments over the years and have been getting Botox for a long time. Lately, I’ve noticed that my skin isn’t reacting well to active ingredients like retinol products and even some vitamin C serums. I used to use vitamin C all the time, and I loved the Vitamin C&E from AlumierMD. It comes packaged in three separate containers, giving you 90 days' worth of product that won’t oxidize or lose its potency. Here’s a link for you: Use Code JULIE0000123 for 15% OFF - amzn.to/3Dd7ImS Recently, I’ve been using the Youth to the People Serum and Tatcha Dewy Skin Cream, which my skin absolutely loves. I know Tatcha is a higher-end brand, but its products don’t irritate my skin and keep it comfortable all day. In the summer, I switch to their Water Cream, but in the winter months, I rely on the Dewy Skin Cream for both day and night. Here are the links: Sephora: go.shopmy.us/p-10799934 Tatcha: go.shopmy.us/p-10799914 Youth To The People Serum: go.shopmy.us/p-11264625 In terms of skin treatments, I’ve done everything from Botox to CO2 Fractional Laser and a bunch of treatments in between. I’ve shared videos about most of them, except for my CO2 laser treatment itself-though I do have a video about the recovery process. You can check out my playlist here: Skin Treatments Playlist: th-cam.com/play/PLMHnGthZcReIUr4XkDTGc1qOGhDwWCbhE.html My skin sensitivity might be related to my health issues, or it could be from having so many skin treatments over the years, which may have caused hypersensitivity. 🤷♀️ Personally, I think it’s due to inflammation from my health. I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.
Very pretty! I’m a retired hairdresser and makeup artist and love watching you young gals. I’m still learning, too! I just ordered this foundation for myself and can’t wait to use it. I’m a new subscriber and will be watching for your videos. ❤
Yay! We're the same, Patricia! Do you miss it? I miss working with women so much. I just posted a video of me doing my mother-in-laws makeup. She felt beautiful. I miss that feeling of knowing I helped someone feel good Where are you from?
@@JulieMeikle Hi!!! I’m in Arizona now, but lived and worked in California and Nevada! I do miss working with women and making them beautiful, especially for their wedding!
Very pretty Julie. YAY,! Your house Sold. Now,comes the hard part: moving out and into your New Home. So exciting. Maybe do a live showing us around your land and new home? Just a thought. Don’t over do it.
It sold! We put it on the market on Friday and it sold on Wednesday.😃 Everything has happened so fast. Within 6 weeks we started looking, bought a home and sold. Crazy! I'm so excited and relieved it went so smoothly.
I filmed the home when we first saw it. I should post it. I also have the link to our home we're moving from. I want to share it because our agents are hilarious! They've sold three homes for us.
@@JulieMeikle Omg that is amazing fast. Congratulations now you won't have 2 houses if the old didn't sell.. 🥰 Yes it's so fast.. 🤭😀 It is such a great news. 🥰🌹
Julie, you look beautiful no matter which makeup you use. I want so badly to try self tanner again but fear sun spots showing up more. You look even prettier with self tanner.
I love my self-tanner. I filmed a video the other day using the Makeup by Mario Bronzer and the Glow Recipe Bronzing drops to see if I could cheat my colour up without the self-tanner. I haven't had a chance to edit it yet. It's in the vertical format so looks a little different. I felt good when I was finished. I'll have to see what it looks like in my video. I'll hopefully get it up soon. We're celebrating fathers day early with my Mom and Dad. Dad, Dave, my son and my daughter's boyfriend are golfing while us girls go shopping.🤗 I need clothes desperately! Anyway, I'll hopefully be able to edit it tonight or tomorrow morning to get it up soon. My sun spots on my right side are my nemesis but I feel much better with colour.
I have used the concealer and primer. That's it. I have a few Elf brushes and I like them. I would love to see what you recommend for skincare. I am 69 and I have dry to combination skin. I still have quite a bit of my Tarte foundations so I guess I need to use them before I try the Elf foundation. I hope it will work for me because it would be nice to have an inexpensive foundation that works with my complexion.
Can you tell me the foundations you're using now? I love Revlon Illuminance Skin Caring Foundation as well. The Elf has a thicker consistency compared to Revlon. Both are good. It just depends on the texture you're looking for.
🙏 For a quick and effortless sale! I'm not a primer person either but Elf has stepped up their game quite a bit. Half of my makeup shelf is Elf and I use their skin care as well. The absolute best primer I have tried thus far is Laura Mercier Blurring Fondant. Takes care of any texture issue beautifully! I'm not a dewy person either. At my age (57) I don't want to be shining bright light a dewy diamond 🤣💎 P.S. I'm all about budget friendly but I am willing to spend for a product that gives me flawless results. You look beautiful with your bun by the way 🤗
Thank you, Robin! I hope our new neighbours are peaceful.🙏🏻 LOL. I'm so excited. We'll be. moving at the end of August. The people that bought our home are from the West Coast. They had two days to find a home and had to leave. I'm happy they found ours. I'm sure they must have kids so they'll be close to the schools and there are a ton of young kids on our street. My husband had a business meeting yesterday with a man who's uncle owns the house we bought. What a small world we live in. He has good memories in that house. I knew it felt good as soon as we walked in.🤗
You wouldn't like it, Lisa. I would say a hard no for this one. Even I was a little shiny in my T-zone at the end of the day. You would maybe like the original Elf CC Cream. It has great coverage and a matte finish. Have you tried that one before?
You don't look like that on my screen 😊 you are beautiful as always 🌹 The foundation looks good on you, I'm surprised that it looks so good and fore that little price, yes elf do have some great brushes. we all have texture believe me i do 😂 I'm so happy that you are having " showing your house" it is positive that people want to see it. I do not enjoy lavender and watermelon scents. Im allergic to watermelon and assiciate it with being violently sick. The shade 25 worked well for you. Huda beauty is nice, but I only purchase it from TJ Maxx.
🤢 That's awful. Honestly, I'm not a fan of watermelon and I'm not allergic. My son could eat the whole melon. It's never been my thing. I don't mind the smell though. We don't have TJ Maxx here. It’s not your lighting it’s your shirt! You have a warm skin tone and the black shadows your face. Have you considered getting a House of Colour color analysis? You are beautiful. You just aren’t wearing your colors so the shirt is throwing you off. The makeup look is perfection though!
I would love to have my colours done. Honestly I haven't had time to look into it though. I know black isn't my best colour but I struggle with this because of my hair colour, freckles, redness in my skin. I want to keep the tops I wear fairly basic so it can be about the makeup and not what I'm wearing. I did sweaters from Banana Republic Factory Outlet the other day. I think they'll look better. When I move into my new home, I'll be filming in a different part of the house where I'll be cooler. I can't wait.
Thank you, Diane! No no, I'm only moving 25 minutes away. We're still in the Ottawa area but we'll be closer to my brother & sister-in-law (neice) and also a shorter drive to my parents house. It has more land so more space between neighbours and much more natural light through the whole home. Dave has his big garage that he's always wanted too. I'm so excited. I'll be the same distance to the mall as I am from here so it's not much of a change that way. We'll be moving at the end of August.
Hi Julie, The last move my hubby and I made was in 2022. We moved back to the Midwest from California! What an expensive & stressful project! Would not want to ever repeat that craziness, even though I am yearning to go back to CA! I can say though that I am convinced our marriage could probably withstand just about anything, based on that moving experiment! Oof! I am so happy that your house sold! You are halfway there now! Goody! Would love to see your new place once you are there and settled in! The foundation is lovely on you! It looks fresh and slightly dewy, which I shoot for in my own foundations. Elf really is releasing some fantastic products! I love that those who cannot afford prestige brands can come pretty close using some of Elf’s “dupe” products! I really like some of their brushes as well! I would love you to do a “live” declutter with us when the time is right for you. Enjoying your posts as usual, want your channel to grow & grow! I also love the group of ladies that tune in and follow you! Sending you positivity and high hopes for a successful move! 🌹👍🏽
Thank you so much, Cali! Moving that distance would be so much harder to deal with. What made you move from California to the Midwest? I'm sorry if you already told me. I may have asked this before. I moved so many times I've lost count. I started typing out my moves but I realized it would take me forever to tell you the stories. It's been fun reliving them in my head though. The stress my parents must have felt with each move. They're not comfortable with change. I love it. One day I'll share some stories on a livestream maybe.

It is hard. The 25 worked perfectly. I used it again yesterday. Would you say you have a similar colour as me? The IT CC cream in light is neutral. MAC has great neutrals now. They didn't before but updated their colours. I have a few that work very well for my skin tone. YSL has some good neutrals. ....I'm thinking as I type. Let me see...What are you using now, Lynn? You are absolutely gorgeous! I cannot believe you’re 52. When I saw the caption that said mature skin, then I saw your picture, I said to myself since when is being in their thirties mature skin! I never would have guessed your age.
I tried it and I agree, it looks good but I have found that on me it doesn’t las as long as they claim. After a couple of hours perhaps a bit longer it starts to flake off my face and I didn’t use that much of it to justify that. For a night out I guess it would be ok but if you want something that last a day, I wouldn’t go for this foundation.
@@JulieMeikle i use Renew gel from Avon but just before the foundation I use Clarins Beauty Flash balm as primer. Maybe they are not compatible, all I know is I started to feel my face a bit “grainy” after awhile and when I cleaned my face in the evening, there was not much left of the foundation.
@@yvasquez2449 Interesting. it may not be compatible. I had that happen with the TIRTIR foundation. I used a water cream the first time which was awful. The second time worked with Embrolyisse. Did it feel like "pilling". Have you heard that term before? What foundation do you typically wear?
@@JulieMeikle yes, I had a look at the mirror to check why my face was feeling grainy and I could see little flakes of the foundation coming off. I will try without the beauty balm and see if it helps. I noticed ELF has a primer as well, I may try that instead

Hi Shell!!! Thank you for being here with me and taking the time to comment. Where are you from?
Great video! I really appreciate the tip about using primer if it's a while since you applied your skincare. This explained my foundation not looking great yesterday. 😬 I had to cool down for a while first. 🤣 Fellow 52 year old. 😁
Very nice looks. You are my color shade so I had just ordered the same foundation. Thank you for the review.

I’ll be honest, I’m pretty basic with my skincare routine.
Here’s a link for you:
Use Code JULIE0000123 for 15% OFF - amzn.to/3Dd7ImS
Recently, I’ve been using the Youth to the People Serum and Tatcha Dewy Skin Cream, which my skin absolutely loves. I know Tatcha is a higher-end brand, but its products don’t irritate my skin and keep it comfortable all day. In the summer, I switch to their Water Cream, but in the winter months, I rely on the Dewy Skin Cream for both day and night.
Here are the links:

In terms of skin treatments, I’ve done everything from Botox to CO2 Fractional Laser and a bunch of treatments in between. I’ve shared videos about most of them, except for my CO2 laser treatment itself-though I do have a video about the recovery process. You can check out my playlist here:
Skin Treatments Playlist: th-cam.com/play/PLMHnGthZcReIUr4XkDTGc1qOGhDwWCbhE.html
My skin sensitivity might be related to my health issues, or it could be from having so many skin treatments over the years, which may have caused hypersensitivity.

Omg that is amazing fast.
Congratulations now you won't have 2 houses if the old didn't sell.. 🥰
Yes it's so fast.. 🤭😀
It is such a great news. 🥰🌹
I have been waiting to try it..I justvdont know what color to use...I'm fair complected..& you are beautiful ❤
What colour are you in other brands, Sherry? Maybe I can help, and thank you!🤗
Julie, you look beautiful no matter which makeup you use.
@@JulieMeikle Thank you Julie, no rush I will wait patiently for that video.

Hi from Canada!!! I'm so happy you're here with me, Kylie!🤗
You look beautiful with your bun by the way 🤗
Congrats on the sale of your home!!🎉
I'm gonna miss your neighbors fighting😅
I'm glad you did this foundation. I thought it looked great.

I tiny tiny bit. Nothing crazy.
I do not enjoy lavender and watermelon scents. Im allergic to watermelon and assiciate it with being violently sick.
The shade 25 worked well for you. Huda beauty is nice, but I only purchase it from TJ Maxx.

I love it.

The 25 definitely looked more neutral to me as well… I have such a hard time finding true “neutral” colors anymore!!! They all run too peachy or yellow 😳😩
It is hard. The 25 worked perfectly. I used it again yesterday. Would you say you have a similar colour as me? The IT CC cream in light is neutral. MAC has great neutrals now. Awe, thank you! Botox does wonders.😃 I always want to be upfront about that. I'm helping myself on this aging journey.
Good point. Thank you for sharing. I should do a wear test video. What did you use for moisturizer?
