This is great. Can I use alarm input to arm the cameras whenever the security system is armed? (And otherwise) I want cameras only send me motion detection notification when I'm out. Also, I would like to trigger a look alarm siren whenever system backyard camera detects motion or person
How would you hook a wireless contact to it? Not sure if it’s a problem with my NVR but contact works with it being normally opened but not triggering when I change to NC. Contact is a 5816 Honeywell. I’m using the no and common on the NVR.
@@ecologicaltime Tha ka for your answer. No I mean when I connect the horn speaker to Mic out I get a groundloop sound from the speakers that I don't know how to fix.
Very usefull Thank's I have a dhi-nvr608-32-4ks2 and I'd like to stop the camera viewing for some users when I have an alarm from an external system throught Alarm-in port, is this possible ? Thanks.
I want a “no” keyswitch that when turned on (latched to nc) it will record. And when turned off, it will stop recording. Will this work? And if so what’s the recommended “anti-dither” and “Latch” settings for this.
Pardon me but I am a bit confused here and hope you could give me a hint. While this video is about your 16 channel, I have a 8 channel NVR which the only difference I see between yours and my 8 channel is the printing on the rear panel above the green connector blocks. On your NVR, the printing is as follow: NO1 C1, the special marking which could be the negative (earth), followed by 1 and 2. Never mind the second green connector block below the top block, as I may not need to use it. What I don't understand is the meaning of NO1 and C1, followed by a symbol that looks like what I think it is, a negative ( - ) symbol. What I want to connect is a 9V powered flashing LED so that when an event is triggered, the NVR buzzer goes on. But when I am listening to music or play computer games I usually wear headphones and this masks the buzzer sound and I hear nothing. If I plug a LED light into those connection points of the green block, in the event that the alarm is triggered, I can see the brightly flashing LEDs being on and that gives me an indication that the camera has detected a moving object, e.g. a cat, dog, etc., and because I also have a Aten 4 channel switcher, I can quickly switch the Dahua channel and view on a single monitor what tripped the camera detection in an instant, only to find a stray dog triggered it. I also have a Hikvision V4.0 NVR with 2 cameras and, though this NVR is much easier to use and operate, the connections to the siren or flashing LED light on the similarly green connector blocks is a breeze. Hikvision NVR beeps like, beee beee beee, bep-bep, and the LED flasher connected on the first 2 connection on the far right of the block. The LEDs flash for about 30 seconds, which is enough to get the attention I need. Dahua, on the other hand, has a shorter buzzer sound , but the connection of a similar LED flashing light is confusing as I don't know what NO1 and C1 means and what is that symbol after C1 and and another at the right end of the block (near number 2). Can you help please?
NO1 is for normally open 1 (1 being the first relay). C= common for that relay. These are not grounded, they are terminals to a relay only. If you would like clarity on relays, please check out some of my many relay videos: th-cam.com/play/PLYY5TJHy2ast4933aJ_5MmvH_LBDPfOMu.html
Hooters start sounding immediately when the camera's cable is cut, the scene is changed, video is lost, and the camera is turned off. Can you show a video of this installation of CP Plus??

Great video! Can you please demonstrate how to get ride of groundloop for example when connecting a horn speaker to the dahua nvr?
thanks. when using the relay outputs you do not need to connect to the chassis of the NVR unit.

Can you tell me the type of the green connector of the alarm port? I didn't get it with the nvr.

Fantastic!!
I need to connect NVR to BMS, please make a video regarding this...
