The answer is not to arm Teachers - the answer is to disarm citizens who have no need for such weaponry; The answer is NOT to turn every facet of our society into a war zone - the answer is to make our schools, theaters, shopping plazas, grocery stores, churches(!) safer.

look into the history of school shootings in America: because sadly school shootings are not a new thing, there has been many long before columbine and sandy hook look it up. k12academics has a complete list and information on all school shootings from the 1800s throughout until 2000s. school shootings have happened throughout the 19th and 20th century. guns do not need to be banned, gun safety needs to be more widespread taught, and mental health screenings need to be a requirement before getting a gun, parents need to use judgement, based on their son or daughters mental stability, maturity and grasp on safety and general reality before deciding to allow them access to guns. schools should also have armed guards; same as any other government building; people shoot up schools because the people in schools are pretty much guaranteed to be unarmed and unable to fight back. if there are armed guards schools would less likely be targeted, notice not too many people try and shoot up courthouses, or social security offices because there are trained armed guards in them.

You couldn't be more wrong about that. We do not give these killers Fame. We put them on trial, usually televised, when found guilty we lock them up and throw away the key. Sometimes we even execute them. We don't bury our heads in the sand and ignore these criminals we face them head on and give them the punishment that they deserve. There are mass shootings all over the world. How each country deals with it is different.
We give them a fair trial it is decided by their peers if they are found guilty we punish them appropriately.

But also Canada are looked on by the rest of the world as a joke. They let people off with everything way too easily. Canada not “naming” school shooters etc so as not to give them “fame” is just another excuse for Canada being a push over nation. The world has no respect for Canadian law. That’s very well known. People may argue Americans maybe too much the other way, and are too harsh with consequences…but I say it’s better than being a joke of a nation.

I'm sickened by the fact that the indoor campus monitor ran up the stairs to safety without warning the four children in the hall to get to their classes! Had he yelled out "Hurry get to class" - or something to that affect - the children most likely would've been saved. Instead, he thought of himself first! The coward ran up to the second floor and hid in a closet! He knew in advance when he was walking towards the east entrance directly behind the three students who entered before him. He passed Gina in the hallway? Said nothing?! There was about 15 seconds in time -maybe 20 seconds lost to the victims. They may have stood a chance! Not one adult has been held accountable which is absolutely pathetic and such a travesty! When will our children be put first in this country? When will their lives and safety matter? What does it take? This was a mass massacre! It takes the heartache and grief of these beautiful parents - Max Schacter - The Montaltos.. The Hoyers - all of them ...to protect our children. Yes it is very likely to happen as many of us parents have lost faith in the ability of the schools to keep our kids safe. Look at Uvalde. The cops let those babies die. How can parents continue to trust ?

@@Gabriella-iu8tv I didn’t read it anywhere. In my opinion I feel eventually parents will become to afraid to let their kids go to school. As it stands when you tell them bye in the morning that could be the last time. I have a 16, 12, and 5 year old granddaughters. We are located in a very small community and yet last school term a young boy was caught with a gun. He had it all day but thank God he didn’t use it. It’s just the world we live in and it’s so sad.

How about you ban guns.....imagine prohibiting education, just to protect your rights to hold a gun, because a law written in the 1700's said so....Americans 🤦‍♀️

How about a bullet proof windows and when students coming to school or a cop searching what's inside of their backpacks
