I used to go all the time. To all the South Congress joints, like Saxon and the Spoke. Then I moved to north Austin and the town grew and I rarely got south anymore. But one day I was and thought I'd drive Congress to see the old places again and panicked as I approached the Spoke. It was gone! Turns out it wasn't, but it was now sandwiched between two condo developments! It seemed so out of place without the more open land around it. It felt surreal sitting there. It was 2 in the afternoon, so I didn't go in, but I need to go back and relive some happy memories.

Love The Spoke - go every time I have the chance and am able to! Wish I was healthier and lived closer!!!
I miss him so much it hurts to see my papa go and I’m just so scared for who and when might go next it’s something I think about every single day and night i wish I didn’t even get to say goodbye and I wasn’t there makes me wonder if it’s my fault
