I have a unit that this one. Corbin Russwin large format removable core. The unit I have is a storeroom function. It should stay locked at all time and accessible only with a key. All of a sudden its unlocked and I can't get it to lock at all. The unit isn't all that old (maybe two years) and really doesn't get a lot of use. Do you have any insight on what I should look for once I take the unit off the door?
Shortly, California will recommend everyone live their lives in a safety bubble... until they decide that synthetic bubble material causes cancer. Nice repair work sir, lots of good info here that transfers over to other leverset brands as well.
Couple of cancer warning stickers and you start wearing gloves ? All the de-greasers, rust removers, lubricants etc, use them like hand cream but one little sticker and you start wearing gloves...
Hi Jason. Good that you're able to make a working handle out of two broken ones. So you can replace the other one. Would this be a permanent replacement ? Or only temporary until the new handle arrives ? Happy Tuesday. The warning label, so can you only get Cancer in California from this then ? Or is it that Californians are more susceptible to Cancer ? Or the Californian Authority are covering their arses, just in case someone might think of putting a claim in ?

Wow not to bash I did learn something but some constructive criticism mite wanna actually watch your own video and familiarize your self with the subject matter and consider redoing it would better justify the the price of the bill you submit to a customer by showing your knowledge snd competency in the field you specialize in! I do appreciate the real world appeal of the video but I feel you knew no more about the assembly than I did but I’m not a lock smith!! Hope to see future videos of yours to compare. Maybe it’s the smog?? Or potential cancer concern?? I just don’t know!!🌫
🙄 this was clearly just a exploratory video for other locksmiths to see about field repairing this part and/or seeing what was broken & has no basis on “justifying the price of a bill to a customer blah blah” and (from vague memory since it’s 2 years old) we discovered the problem and now know it’s not field repairable Feel free to not worry about watching our incompetence from now on 😂🙄
the table looks so much better/cleaner like that, removing the handle etc... did wonders

Do the G10 knob have the same guts as the Lever by chance?
I figure as long as I stay out of California, I should be ok. So far, so good.

We do not "RIG UP", we QUICKLY FIELD RE- ENGINEER around the problem.
