I remember Jimi and his band Joined Forces back in the 80's, they rocked. I used to see them at The Agora Ballroom in West Hartford, CT. Good times!! Jimi I still have the made in USA Kramer I bought from your store all those years ago.

Autograph may as well play some Russian Autograph songs, too. They have about as much in common with that band as the American Autograph.
The premier for Light of Day was in Cleveland. Bar scenes were filmed at the Euclid Tavern in Cleveland, my college bar at the time. Fun fact: Trent Reznor was in the film, too. He was in the fictional band, The Problems, who were supposed to be the Barbusters competition, I guess. I went to a screening of Light of Day in 2011 with Paul Schrader as a guest speaker. Paul did not stick around to watch the film.
Amazing music flick
I want to hear Steve Plunkett sing “Turn Up The Radio” nowadays and hear what he sounds like today … I’m very curious, if he can still pull it off in the same key. I love playing that song on guitar, when I nailed that solo, I patted myself on the back, that was difficult, but so damn fun to learn.

I am glad the band is about the music. The singer has vested interest in the band. This story is interesting. It is a legacy version of Aurograph. I have no problem with it. I am curios to see what happens with the band.

Great interview, the minutia about everything from NYC record stores to what lead up to Ronnie James Dio's comments on the song from Dehumanizer is what podcast shows should be about.
I saw Light of Day in at the drive-in, I can't remember what movie it played with. I didn't relize it was Paul Schrader until years later but I am a big fan of Blue Collar (1978), Light Sleeper (1992), and Taxi Driver (1976).
When I was younger I always wanted to give Joan Jett a jelly belly : )

Really liked the interview, learned a lot of things I didn't before like who knew Paul Shaffer was a poon hound in the 80's.
Great interview ,never knew he wrote Master of Insanity - very cool & he plays phenomenal guitar on all the House of Lords albums including the new one Saints & Sinners.
His point about learning only from watching righties is so true. I've worked on learning a couple of his HoL songs, "Rock Bottom", "Million Miles" from concert youtube videos. It's disorienting to watch a lefty.

It’s like the drummer from Quiet Riot had the blessing from the singers mother too cont. without him. But once the drummer was dying he asked the original bassists Rudy to re-join the band.
So this might make sense why the drummer wanted Rudy to rejoin was so they could cont. and under the name Quiet Riot so nothing legal could start cuz there was still an original member in it.
I could be wrong.
Like White Lion Vito doesn’t want a band with thr name White Lion cuz Mike Tramp bought out his share of the name so he couldn’t use the name after excepting the buy out cash. That happened after 1991/2 when their originally broke up.
Then in 2008 Mike Tramp tried going out play festivals with his own band and call them White Lion and playing White Lion.
Just like Queensyche between the singer that left or quit I can’t remember but there were still original members that wanted to cont. with a new different singer and call the band Queensyche.
So for a while we had 2 different versions of Queensyche until the courts went with the original members and the original band cont d with a new singer and the old singer could use the voice of Queensyche or something like that.
Anybody else help me clarify this for me. Can’t remember all the names of the members for all bands I stated above.
So this is what Steve Lynch is saying. You have no original members so u can’t cont. as Autograph.

I can attest to Jimi being extremely kind and authentic as a human being. In each conversation we've had, he has been genuine, and super to just have life conversations with, (not to mention he has also been so supportive in my own music career as well.)
Drama happens in the music business, and Jimi is a class act all day long.
If you look at his credentials in this industry, he truly can stand among the best as a musician.

This was an outstanding interview Jason. Wow Jimi is such a cool humble guy. I hope to see him play soon. I have met Steve Lynch and he has an amazing personality as well when I saw them play. Rex Carroll told me how great Jimi is and that’s how I first heard of him. Such a great interview!
Like Steve very much but would he rather have his music swept under a rug? Cause the young people are getting to know his band/ music because of the shows these guys play! So they need each other don't they?
I would disagree, I like Jimi but can’t get behind a band using a name that had nothing to do with the real band.

Name a band that does have all original From that era? Poison may be the only one.
@@bobbyw1510 lol, huge difference to not having all of them to having ZERO. Their a band that started in the 80's and their longest term member has been their since 2013. They're a cover band.
Every great classic rock band has no original members. Its over! In 5-10 yrs. All these band are gone. All of them. Forever! Stop whining and enjoy the fuckin music! This is the last run! Enjoy it and forget the drama!!!!!!
No original members, guessing they have no legal rights to the name.
