  • In-App NFC Payments Coming to iOS 18.1: Secure Element API Empowers Developers Worldwide. lets discuss it.
Apple has always been at the forefront of innovation, and with the upcoming release of iOS 18.1, we’re taking another leap forward.
Starting with iOS 18.1, developers will now have the power to offer NFC contactless transactions directly within their apps. This means in-store payments, car keys, transit passes, corporate badges, student IDs, and more can now be managed through custom apps, separate from Apple Pay and Wallet.
At the heart of this new feature is Apple’s Secure Element, a certified chip designed to keep your sensitive information safe. With this, Apple ensures that your security and privacy remain our top priority.
Making a contactless transaction within an app is as easy as opening the app or double-clicking the side button on your iPhone.
For developers, accessing this new feature will require entering into a commercial agreement with Apple, ensuring that only authorised developers meeting industry standards can integrate these APIs.
This groundbreaking feature will soon be available in select locations, with more to follow. Get ready to experience the future of NFC contactless transactions with iOS 18.1
Stay ahead with iOS 18.1. Unlock new possibilities, keep security and privacy at your core.

Actually payment details are not safe with beta versions. It’s better to wait for ios18.1.
