At 11:00 I really resonated with your statement regarding feeling afraid of missing out. We are so young and so capable of different experiences in life. It can be hard to stay put in relationships, jobs, etc because we are afraid that something better may be out there for us. Maybe the grass IS greener on the other side. However, it’s important to consider that by thinking like this, you’re thinking of a reality that doesn’t even exist. This relationship, job, experience, etc doesn’t exist so why spend so much time dwelling on it? This perspective has helped me a lot in my relationship and my current place in life :)
I find your voice, it's hard to describe, energized and soothing at the same time. I've never minded your valley-girl, it's cute and in any case it's sad people feel the need to criticize something as natural as your voice as if they can't simply find someone with a voice they prefer on TH-cam. I didn't know you read any of the comments, so now I do, let me just say, I find you motivating, intelligent, beautiful, and lovely. You openly talk about taboo things you do or have done, such as cheating, having BPD, having extramarital sex that you often genuinely enjoy, and dating younger men. Any one of these takes bravery to talk about, society condemns all of them to one degree or another. You could keep them to yourself and no one could blame you. Instead, you fight these oppressive stigmas that so desperately need to be fought. You are funny, consistently kind to your guests, come off as assured, you bring a warmth and cheer that seems to come from a genuine place, and you have conversations that are hugely entertaining while going deep. You don't present yourself as perfect or as always happy but as a strong, joyful person, flaws and all, which is of course, deeply vulnerable. You are openminded, empathetic, and talk to people of various perspectives and backgrounds. That's bold in a time when many people seem to think it's all about how one side has all the answers and talking to someone not 100% on the far left on every issue shouldn't even be considered. I have nothing but fondness and respect for you. The views have been at times rough, considering how hard you've worked to build your platform over the years and how hard you continue to work, as well as the quality of your channel and the remarkable guests you attain, so I'm glad you're still here spreading your message. I just want to say, I do truly appreciate your work. Thanks for keeping on keeping on, for some of the best conversations on TH-cam, and for making sad days less sad and happy days happier.
