That’s bc the body finds it easier to liquify muscle instead of fat so that why you have to have spacing if you are lifting weights. I found this out last summer bc I can run 2 miles in 12 minutes, but my legs were as slim as the start of summer compared to my upper body which I gained 20 lbs of muscle
I got down to about 6% BF just lifting and dieting. I made incredible gains with no cardio and a 4 day bodybuilding split. I started boxing and lost every single ounce of those gains and a crazy amount of strength in about 3 months.
150 minutes of cardio a week is recomended which is easily over 2k when jogging at average speed, eat smart and do cardio u will not lose muscle mass...level one thinking.
I know alot of people have 1 time of day they can work out so here’s a few tips. 1) Don’t do cardio before weights. You can do a light 5-10 minute warmup session, but heavy cardio should be at the end of your workout if you do it. 2) Don’t do heavy cardio every day. The amount of cardio someone should do varies by person, but I generally do moderate-heavy cardio 3-4 times a week. 3) Don’t use cardio to replace a diet. A lot of people trying to lose weight think that “I can run the calories away”. Unfortunately it doesn’t work that way. Hopping on the treadmill definitely helps, but the war is won in the kitchen.
@@Romeoz06 I run 2 miles everyday under 16 minutes and that seems to be helping me and seeing good results but I only did 3 days a week, 25 mins per day when I started. Not expert just sharing what has helped me.
I do high intensity cardio twice a day I run two miles in the morning then around the middle of the day I do my strength training then I'll do my cardio . What do you think about that boss?
Even though I do two types of intensity cardio 1 in the morning run strength training in the middle of the day and then at night before going to bed is cardio and that is burpees . So then I should just do one cardio a day right?
What I did in the army was long run for pt in the morning. Heavy lifting in the evening, than sprints after lifting ( sprints about 3x a week, long runs 5x a week, weight lifting 5-6x a week) and let me tell you, you’ll be very functional to say the least
Okay and what can we do if we’re not a fitness influencer with the time to make two separate workouts per day? But instead a regular person? I work out 4-5 days per week for two hours each time. I’d need to quit my job to double that.
I run like 2 km under 8-9 mins, and the other 2km slower at 10-10:30 after workout. Will that affect my muscle growth and strength gains, i do like 120+ pull-ups of different variations each session and I'm an ectomorph.
Bruh wtf is this? Nobody is going to workout twice a day unless you’re a masochist or a top level athlete. Just stick to doing cardio right after your weight training.
Should I do cardio while skinny?, if yes how do I not lose weight and maintaining my weight while doing cardio and still gaining muscle mass? Im very new to working out
If you wanna gain muscle doing a bit of cardio wont make you skinnier, if your eating enough and right you can do cardio which will help with endurance and help you stay Lean while getting big. Also on how much cardio you do, all specific for you own body type.
Muscles support your bones and joints. That is their purpose. Weak muscles leave you prone to injuries. The heart is also a muscle. Exercise increases its efficiency. Look at the top cause of mortality in the 1st world. Heart disease ranks #1.
@@unoslime557 I know i'm late. But, the general opinion i've gathered is that its going to hurt your lifting performance as your muscles are still fatigued from running. If gaining muscle mass/stenght is your priority, you want to do it when your muscles are rested enough to give it their all.
Coming to an era where cardio is going to be needed.

I hate working out twice a day
But cardio is fun tho. Something like biking on an actual bike can be really enjoyable.
In that case, try implementing cardio into everyday life - walk more, for example.
My trainer told me stop running because I will lost my muscles from training… he told me to run only 2K max….
I was like… what??

Most of it was diet for me, I was doing HIIT occasionally and steady state cardio weekly and didn’t lose gains so long as I ate a surplus of protein
