Really cool pedal, love the concept of it. That disappearing pwm square wave sound was my favourite on the data corrupter. But this has a much bigger range to mess with. Nice work team eqd.
I wasn't really sold until I heard the yes control all the way down. Having a nice OD and a doomy fuzz in a small enclosure is a great idea. And as I'm typing this I think to myself "I can't really see myself playing all the time with the yes turned up, but it would be really cool to have expression control of it" and low and behold 😂
I made a cousin of this. (Look for "Bandwrecker deluxe" here on TH-cam) Based on John Hollis's "Crash Sync" design, it uses a 555 timer chip to produce the square wave, with variable duty cycle. Madbean added LFO modulation of duty cycle, with controls for adjusting the overall range of widest/narrowest pulse shape. I added envelope control of the sweep, which is what Gary does too, though I didn't include expression control (kudos, EQD!). Most definitely NOT any sort of leave-it-on-for-the-whole--tune sort of effect/pedal, but gobs of fun to play, as the TH-cam demo shows. As with any envelope-controlled effect, choice of envelope decay time/rate is important to dovetailing with the specific tune. I think I will have to tinker with the averaging cap value on mine. Perhaps you folks may want to do the same, or maybe add a decay control on your own "deluxe" version.
I have an envelope fuzz already, (Walrus Kangra,) but it doesn't sound like this. I dig it. And I always love to see an expression jack! On the buy list for sure.
It would have been nice to have more parameters for the pulse width adjustments, envelope threshold points and a control to add in random double triggering so the envelope can be double triggered like in the vintage 60's pedals the trigger circuits would do this at random.
@@EarthQuakerDevices But the Left Side is useless its just a normal stock overdrive pedal nothing special plus its taking up space. I rather have the left side to expand on the pulse width parameters so its not so limited. The left side can also have voice tone circuits like in the maestro rhythm N sound which Temple Devices T2 just made a modern version. The Maestro W2 & W3 has specialized tone filters that give you this honky horn like filters which would work really good with the PWM Gary Fuzz for the LEFT side. The Temple Devices T2 when using the Delay/Repeater with the WOW circuit which is somewhat like the ( GARY PWM FUZZ) the Maestro TRIGGER Circuit will cause random "Double Triggering" because the Trigger Circuit detection circuit is sloppy. You can add this to the GARY Deluxe 2.0 version to think about. The Maestro Rhythm N Sound has a fuzz circuit which was designed to sound "Broken fuzz" not a dying battery or off biased but its sounds like a "broken fuzz" its very 60's which was used in funk music and movie soundtracks. Its hard to find fuzz pedals to get that "broken fuzz" sound.
Reminds me of a bit of the Dreadbox Disorder Fuzz i have but with more versality with two the two footswitches. The only downside here is that the footswtiches are too close to each other. Pity the pedal isn’t bigger. Hopefully, it's not a limited run????
You can play both sides at the same time! THAT'S IT is a volume for the left side and OOSH is a volume for the right side. Try this really loud! It's so fun!
My dog is named Gary and i want to get this on my board in his memory. Hes not dead I just like to think of him.
❤️
Consider my earth quaked.

Thank you! This really makes you play differently!
Well I’m sold. Placed my order before I finished the vid. Sounds amazing.
Finaly a pedal with my name on it🎉😂
Yeah Gary!
Jamie is an underrated riff meister tbh
LOL, this should make its way onto Josh Homme's board! He always uses "Gary" if he wants to refer to a random person in his interviews.
Can't wait to watch other reviewers play blues licks through this

Gary made me get off me bum and say holy crap ! Cant wait for the release of Mingey….
Welp never knew I would put Gary on the board but here we are.
Nice! Great to see a colab w/ Lee of Idles fame. I love a good square wave fuzz.
How many more cool pedals are you going to release by the end of this year?
EQD: yes
Nice boots!
Gorgeous design and gorgeous sounds!
That's a spicy meatball
Beautiful tele.
Love it!
Thanks for the bass demo too🤝
This sounds great. And love the control names. :)
The last thing I need is another fuzz pedal , but obviously I need it on my board. Thankfully, it sounds awesome.
Really interesting pedal. I want to try/buy one! Hope my local big box gets a few.
This pedal sounds brutal. Eqd take my money. Just ordered 🤘
The right side sounds like the Tim Escobedo Pong War Machine.

Very cool one ! love Lee.

To quote the youth of today: sick.
Yeah that’s an immediate purchase. My brand of weird for sure
Wow, its like you stole my soul and put it in your little box
Awesome heavy demo!

Put up a video on your channel when you release it. That sounds like a great pedal.
I hear you! Then it's tough to make it like that to keep the price low for our fans! This is super fun as it is make you feel super creative!

I should probably buy this pedal
how perfect that i've got a tele i use in drop C that i was looking to buy this for
New pedal!!!
Gary is pretty cool
Definitely a niche tone.
Excellent
I feel like I need to own this.

Interesting!
Love it!!! ❤
Gnarly! 🥳
Love the look of this pedal, but I'm curious what they would have come up with if they'd stuck with the usual earthquaker design language
I know! But this deign fits perfect!
I do worry about the right (fuzz) side never being audible in a band mix.
I shit my pants
Gary! Meow
Some real thought went in to the name huh.
it did!
You would actually be fucking shocked to know much thought went into the name. Not joking either, very stoked on the name.
Hello Gary. Peace out. ☮
Yes please…
gee, the world really needs another fucking fuzz pedal. /sarcasm
🤣
Earthquaker please stop, I just washed these jeans…
Hahahahahaha
Can both circuits be engaged at the same time? With both master volumes acting as two halves of a blended signal?
You can play both sides at the same time! THAT'S IT is a volume for the left side and OOSH is a volume for the right side. Try this really loud! It's so fun!
Sounds great! Am I allowed to own this if I'm not called Gary?
Gary is everybody's friend!
Wow ! ! !
Damn you guys i just got a Time Shadows two days ago
I know it's hard to keep it up but we have been feeling super creative!
Will Farrell would probably approve.
I hope so!
Wow
Is the left side more like a RAT or like an opamp Big Muff? It doesn't sound like it cuts lows the way a RAT does.
Opamp but it doesn't sound like Big Muff. More of a clean boost with ton of volume!
Can have the both sides on at the same time?
Yep! SUPER POWERFUL!
can you use both sides at once?
Hi Gary
🙋♂️
Someone's ripping off BEETRONICS.

Just shut up and take my money! ☠️
💸😉
I hate this
Thanks for your opinion!
Somewhere, Juan Aldrete is becoming sexually aroused watching that bass demo…totally his style.🌈🫀👽
