Cetus is a constellation of a whale/sea monster and the art is a space whale with several eyes haha. Also you opened the box side ways lol. It has art and some writing on the inside panels when you open it the right way. Idk about "ritual-like unboxing", but it certainly has cool presentation when you open it right and fold it out. Also as a side note, it took me a while to fully understand the functionality, but it can do some really fun stuff. With the switch up, you hold the footswitch to do an infinite reverb of whatever was playing when you pressed it down. So you can use it to hold a drone. That also makes the bottom middle knob do pre-delay. With the switch down, the knob does modulation (for the waves it increases the intensity/volume of the waves). The switch down also puts it in a really cool mode where you can record knob changes (multiple layers of changes) and then whenever you hold the footswitch it repeats those knob changes. So for example, you can "record" the mix knob slowly increasing, and so whenever you hold the footswitch it will do that increase you recorded and then go back to the current settings when you take your foot off. Then you can layer on say the bright knob rolling down at the same time, and when you hold the foot switch it will roll up the mix and down the bright at the same time as you recorded them. I can't remember off the top of my head but I think it records the mod knob as well. So you could have it so that holding the footswitch increases/decreases the waves until you release it. All 4 of the pedals in the series have this function iirc. I only have the Cetus so far though.

@@PhillipRaymondGoodman Subversive can mean a lot of different things, though, depending on the context, and genres are never that strict. The utopian aspect of solarpunk doesn't need to define the rest of the themes in the story or other elements of the setting at present. It could be a future the characters are working toward, or a previous version of society that is falling away or being held together. Although noir tends to focus on cynicism and moral ambiguity, it isn't required to be set in a dystopia, or any particular kind of setting. And in real life, many people would call certain big cities or small towns a utopia while others would argue that place, global society, or human existence itself is a dystopia. In a solarpunk noir, I can easily imagine cynical characters battling the remnants or reemergence of cynicism, crime, doomerism, and so on in the dark shadows of a utopian landscape, needing to contend with living a life unseen or unappreciated by others, or antagonists (be they regular people or criminals) who struggle with letting go of vanishing lifestyles as society changes to something more sustainable.

oh so fun fact about advertisers, they tie all of the advertising ids together, so it's not that instagram recorded you talking about the case, it's that they saw a purchase from someone in your known network and decided an ad would be more likely to succeed on you. The friend you were talking to or someone else in their network looked up whatever it was.

CYBERATTACK SIGHTING
coo Cyberattack is my favorite. i think he's the master of "the medium is the message" pedal influencer. btw the medium is the pedals
I don’t have a dog but I’ve been hanging out with my friend who has a loud barky hound named Annie.
Ever since it’s non-stop “Farmer’s Dog” and “Sundays for Dogs” ads.
P.S. That Cetus music sounded lovely; as an amateur I’m sure it’d be a nice beginner’s pedal.
I'm takeing credit for you owning the Slice Safety Cutter.
11:40 was playing World Warcraft and kind of just forgot. This video was playing in the background. You really do make some great music that just blended in with ambience of the game.
Thats a great pedal for your music imo
The Cetus was actually really nice!
oh so fun fact about advertisers, they tie all of the advertising ids together, so it's not that instagram recorded you talking about the case, it's that they saw a purchase from someone in your known network and decided an ad would be more likely to succeed on you.
This is how a lot of the "my friend and I were just talking and didn't even use our phones, my phone is recording me" things happen. The friend you were talking to or someone else in their network looked up whatever it was.
"Yeah."---Harp Lady
1:26 This sounds like me attempting to play Ageispolis after 6 beers
god DAMN seeing Cyberattack unexpectedly was amazeballs thank you Emily youre awesome with the best jump scares!
That music stand looks fairly unstable. Don't think I would try it in one of my concert band performances. Picked up an Orba when they were first released. Used it a few times and put it off to the side. Now that you reminded me, i can't find it.
@5:04 this was fkn hilarious i would def want to have the pedal still lol
its got that degraded analog thing everybody loves
"you bought me a chore!" Lol
I love how Emily wants to smell every single thing.
that harp bit towards the end with the cetus would make a dope EDM mix with like an airy singer
sort of change between the different modes you used in one whole song
1:28 Orba a set of legos
11:26 I love how the first thing is always smell the electronics (I also do this)
I'll always support ethical TH-camrs. There's just not enough out there these days. I just tried to look for reviews of this gimbal and couldn't find one non-sponsored influencer.
The orba seems like it would be good if you were starting out, and wanted to make some basic compositions, before moving onto the harder stuff, similar to how people used to make midi tracks back in the day, it also seems pretty fun to use!
Big agree on this!!
I can now only imagine a doobie that is the full length and width of the music stand carrying case
always love a bit of Cyberattack
I feel sorry for the Skiers in that Mountain stock footage shot, In the few seconds of their existence they witness a behemoth pedal the size of a Walmart fly through the sky and Russ'/Gods hands manipulating it out of thin air, unsure if the colossal pedal and/or hands are going to smoosh you.
Cetus is a constellation in the shape of a whale.
Gets first thing
Remembers it
Hates it
Plays it
"I love this thing"
😂
12:05 .... What!
