I get no traction and I can't tell but with those mods he needs radials or no way he gets traction I had those mods and I had to go 888rs and now at the level I'm at now it's either Mickey and 18s or what I'm doing more power and motec.

Dannng, great runs. When the C6 hooks with that brake boost hes very fast. The reason why it seems the GT500 had the top end was because of the vettes slow shift. 1st race the vette pulled him all the way until he let off. But its honestly hard to say who's faster when both cars have traction issues at different times lol.

Im a C6 corvette fan, but the mustang did pretty good tbh ... He put around 2 cars on him on the last race. Mad props to the corvette driver. Still the mustang gained him between the shift specially in the last 2 races. Great content Auto glory. The best channel out there.🤙

Sounds like My 2020 gt500 has same mods - 880 @ rear wheels. To give people an idea. 2.65 pulley, 1300 injectors, long tube headers/no cats & intake. Lund tune on e85 Also, sounds like gt500 is rolling in 3rd gear. I usually take off in 2nd if it's 65mph or lower. That would help him jump out 🤷🏻♂️
I figured definitely closer to that 900 whp mark, 800 is being nice. That’s what I noticed also, if the vette did not jump out in front those first couple of races, GT500 would’ve won all of them. What’s the next step up as far as mods with the GT500? Bigger blower? That 1000-1200 whp range?
@@STILLNIGHTPEARL on a stock block/internals i could port blower with a smaller pulley for 1000-1050 safely. Whipple has a supercharger out now and palm beach dyno is getting 1300ish @ wheels. I'd definitely suggest building the bottom end though Iconicgt500 twin turbo'd his car over the winter and he's almost 1300. Insane fast.. high 3 second 60mph-130mph

@@foxxrider250r turbos like everything else have an efficiency range, brand name turbos spend a lot of money on R&D and rate their turbos on that efficiency range, on the eBay turbos the components they are built with and their efficiency range is unknown 😳 if they are pushed passed that range they heat up the air even more, combine that with an equally eBay intercooler and now you have super hot air entering your engine, hotter air equals less power and more prone to knock wich equals less timing and even less power.
If you look at the races closely, the GT500 lost with less horsepower than with more. 1st 2 races, he spun. Last 2 races, he did not(heat soak-LOL). Need better tire my friend:) Corvette guy when he won, no excuses. When he lost, I should haves came in BUT Dang, gotta give it to an almost 20 year old car with archaic tech kicking butt. They drag race, the roll race, they can hit the road course…it’s very rare to find a car that can do all three so well. The dct is incredible….i fully trust the tremec in my car. I had a c7 z06 and that thing was junk compared to the gt500, bought it and sold it after 4 months of owning it. The 8 speed auto is garbage, the c7 is known for fender fitment issues, literally would rub ever time The passenger door was opened. Plus to get it to 900hp I got quoted 25k by cordes performance racing out here in phx. The gt500 can do that and more only spending 6k. Also The c8 is a cheap Ferrari knockoff.

Having owned a 1200 whp gt500 and currently a crazy built twin turbo c6, I can say the gt500 was an amazing car, but the corvette is just nutty. Corvette is definitely more sketchy.

Ported blower, throttle body, and longtubes would be next for this GT500 if he was going to do other stuff to the car.
