- Certainly one of the coolest (and meanest) looking helicopters I've seen! This specially modified Sikorsky MH-60M Black Hawk belongs to the US Army's 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (SOAR), which was in the well documented Battle of Mogadishu in 1993. Of course, this particular Black Hawk was not involved in that event, as this one was delivered to the US Army only a few years ago.

Apologies for the lack of uploads! Also, thank you very much for 1000 subscribers... I am not yet sure when I will upload a video dedicated to celebrating this milestone.
That's a super cool catch, I love the Black Hawk. Nice footage of this awesome helicopter in this great lighting!
Thank you!
the UH-60M's got the rugged look of the original blackhawk but has all of the new sensors on the nose, absolutely badass.
This is a MH-60M, not a UH-60.
@@Orly90😂
@@Orly90uh mh, same thing…😁. NSDQ
I read this as the Uhm-60
Wicked looking creature. Great catch.
I like the crew member that’s hanging out of the side. Definitely cannot be scared of heights.
So awesome at 1:34 - Huge Like 👍😎
Thanks!
Im surpised no one brought up how perfect that tail wheel was on the line on touchdown.
Just noticed that, these pilots of the 160th SOAR are undoubtably the best!
Nobody gonna talk about the Catalina behind the Blackhawk when it landed?
Was it at the wine mixer prior?
Good catch with the MH-60M's little big brother the S-72 as well
Awesome video, I believe this is apart of the nightstalker detachment down near Seattle
Thanks. Yes, that is correct!
that thing has changed a lot over the years
Skorsky Black Hawk 💙
With a middle on the front! 😁
Can't wait to work on these birds as a 15T
Judging by the comment, you should be in AIT by now, same MOS brother, you'll love it here.
That’s so cool 😎
This particular model includes a forward mounted 12 pack beer cooler for EOM-PBR (End Of Mission Pabst Blue Ribbon).
Nice catch. Mean looking beast. What is the deal with the parked s-92 you panned to. Wished the regi was in the shot and not blocked by the ladder. Looks like it would be more at home on the east coast.
Thanks, for sure! That S-92 had just come out of the hangar after being painted. Since this video, I have got lots of footage of it flying. The registration is C-GVIY.
@@nybotor1 Thanks. Apparently it used to live in Japan til it was damaged in a flood (!?) then sold to VIH. It’s now off the east coast of South America so I guess it will be used for oil rig work. VIH own Cougar so maybe that is its new role. Looks good either way, kinda better than the Cyclone.
Some how I can picture the crew jamming to low rider
Was this taken recently? My son followed one on a tracker app that was "hidden" as USCG. It took off before we could get out to see it.
Thanks! This was filmed in late January this year. I can't remember what this Black Hawk showed up as on flight trackers, but you may be right.
TF 160 SOAR….Rare…to see these birds. Most Army UH 60s don’t have air refueling capability…..
Yeah, I don't think I had ever seen a UH-60 with a refuelling probe before.
@@nybotor1due to demanding mission requirements of the regiment sometimes they have to aerial refuel depending on distance to infil/ exfil to and from the target and weight and balance of the pax/customers/equipment.
Beautiful! Believe it or not that helicopter is actually an HH 60 pave hawk. I love the rotor blade sound for sure, these helicopters were always my favorites, because of how powerful they were, and are to this day
I can tell you with 100% certainty that is not not an HH-60 wrong color plus it's fuselage is marked United States Army, Pave hawks are often marked USAF RESCUE on the fuselage with helo specific identifiers being located on the tail.

What exactly is RARE about an MH-60?
