      It sure does for me. My pea brain always messed that darn zero. Maybe I’ll cut threads more often now 😊

    Lol, ok, so first just let me say good job and thanks for sharing. That being said, once you've cut like 2 or 3 threads you're going to realize how silly these attachments are and that they're not worth the time they take to even pull out of the tool box and screw on. Anyway, fun video and keep up the good work.

    If you feel the need to use the top slide for thread cutting then these gizmos are well worth having, but going straight in is just as good, no matter what some thinknots might say. They give all sorts of reasons why you should, to fix a problem that doesnt exist😂
    I suspect it all goes back to some apprentice master showing cutting something like a 6 or 8 tpi thread where it can be helpful, but on a lathe of half decent quality on threads used in the home shop it really isnt necessary. BUT, if you are comfortable doing it with the top slide then as it works well enough keep doing it that way, but having the top slide parallel with the lathe axis can be useful.
