  • This was filmed pre-covid, December 2019.
    I had the ZO 3 Step Peel done at Revive Clinic & Spa in Ankeny, IA.
    I paid for this service with my own money.
    I documented my daily progress so you see what you're getting into if you're planning to try a chemical peel for yourself.
    I was super glad I watched lots of videos beforehand so that I knew what to expect!

    I think your skin looks amazing after just one treatment. 😮 I would be running to get another if I could afford it and noticed such a difference. The “process” would be just a part of the plan. 💖

    Ivy, I tried the Perfect Derma Peel. It's my second treatment and I couldn't be happier. It requires patience as well!! Lol.
    You are so spot on when you say 'Its a process'. I lost my patience on Day 3 of Perfect Derma Peel and was annoyed throughout the process with the dryness and peeling. However, the peeling begins on Day 3 and Ends on Day 6 exactly, if you follow all the instructions and the results are amazing.
    Based on your video, I don't think I will try ZO. I will stick with Perfect Derma Peel. Lol.
    By the way, you look amazing with our without makeup.

      I hadn't heard of this but I just looked it up! It sounds like a really comprehensive one! Man, that peeling can sure be defeating but always worth it in the end. Thanks for watching and commenting, Ashley!

      I hear they're coming out with a 1.5% Retinol - I can't wait bc the 1% doesn't do much bc I've been using it so long (2007). @@IvyBoyd

    I’m currently using the ZO at home hydroquinone treatment for my melasma. Girl. It’s amazing! I’m just a girl looking to clear up my melasma. But this is totally working and I’m on day like 6!

    Today is my 2nd day. (Got it on Thursday am) and my husband reaction was : 😳.. and you want lambs, chickens and cows ?! Look what happened to your skin by just cleaning the patio !! then proceeds to take one ‘flying’ skin and said: oh .. it’s a keeper (like in Goldmember😂;he doesn’t know i had a peel. He’s afraid i might damage my skin with ‘invasive’ treatments) I’m hoping for the best 🤞🏼
    Thank you for sharing, you look🤩

    My peeling slowed down a lot when it got to my cheeks. Not sure if that's normal or not. I feel like I haven't peeled too much since yesterday. I'm on day 5.

    Thanks for the vid. If I'm honest this sends me more in the direction of the (kojic/ retinoic/ tca/ salicylic) Perfect Peel, particularly as my main concern is melasma. The ZO looks like it's more along the lines of a strong brightening peel, perhaps more suited for use once you've successfully faded pigmentation than to actually remove it? Is that a fair statement Ivy or anyone else with the relevant experience? The Dermamelan peel from Mesoestetic looks like it's really effective against melasma, but I could literally have 3 or 4 of the aforementioned peels for the same money in the UK so it's just not feasible, especially given that more than one is recommended for the PP I think (and I very much doubt any peel can remove melasma in one go, whatever online PR/ pictures might suggest).

    Have you tried any lasers on your face? It would help with your lines too. I’m looking to do the ZO peel in the next month or so. Definitely will be wearing my mask a lot to cover the peeling up!

      Yes, for sure! Numbing cream isn't used so you'll feel some intense burning at times.

      hey I just got the 3 step peel for the second time and I’m on day 3! just thought I’d answer that question about the products haha!! I use them even after the peel and they do make a difference but I think after I’m done with these peels (I think I need to get this peel again one more time lol) I’m gonna go back to my old routine:) but like I said, the products do rlly make a difference 👌✌️

      cmoss Thank you for answering my question! Great to know that you like the 3 step peel! How long did you wait to do the second time after the first one was done? What is the improvement you see on your face after the second was done? My esthetician recommends to do 3x3 step peel and I am curious to know your experience with 2 x 3 step peel. I was told to stay away from the sun while it’s peeling so I wonder if I should wait till summer is over. Sorry to bother you with lots of questions but I’ll appreciate it if you can share your experience and result with me🙏 Thank you!

      mami horie yeah of course:) I waited about a month to go and get it my second time! I’ve seen improved texture and just brighter skin, and also I have some pretty deep acne scars that has definitely faded a little bit! Getting this type of peel is pretty easy, it’s literally just 15 mins of burning when they apply the actual chemical peel itself and then it’s really no pain for the next week, just dryness and peeling of course! and yeah, I haven’t been in direct sun at all after the peel! I usually go back into the sun about a week and a half later with sunscreen of course! No problem I love to help:))

    Is this 3 step peel more agressive than the "perfect derma pee" or the VI Peel/TCA Peel? I have gotten both peels and looking for a more aggressive peel before I look into the C02 laser treatment.
    Also, how many days did you peel???

    • @IvyBoyd
      @IvyBoyd  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have not had any other type of chemical peel, but in my research, it appears that ZO 3 Step and Vi are both considered to be medium level peels. From what I'm reading, there is a less of a hot sensation with the Vi during the actual peel application. I peeled for about 3 days I think!

    Thank you so much! In terms of timing, how much down time would you recommend to prepare for the peel before going to work?

    • @IvyBoyd
      @IvyBoyd  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I worked the whole time as there is no physical discomfort. About a week after the peel, you are back to appearing normal I'd say.

    How about the shark tooth shaped near your chin? Did it become a scar? I’m on day 5 and there are some shaped like yours on my cheeks

    • @IvyBoyd

      Thankfully, the "shark tooth" shape went away. I had texted my esthetician about it and she confirmed it's normal to see.

    Did you have to prep your skin with a retinol a few weeks before the peel? If so how often did you use and for how long? I'm planning on getting the peel.

    • @IvyBoyd
      @IvyBoyd  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I didn't have to do any prep. I peeled for a few days. 3-4?

      Pre-conditioning the skin with retinol for at least 4 weeks will improve results! Make sure you do it before any treatment. I do see a difference between before and after picture.
