I used to have one of the original HAF X cases with to 300mm side fan - monstrous, spacious and built like a tank. This looks like an extremely well thought out and very high build quality case. It is way more than I would spend myself, but for someone looking for the best case they can get, this looks like a serious contender.
I absolutely love it when Overkill PC cases are properly done. There's so many overkill cases that focus way more on art than functionality such as the Azza cube. The air flow is insane on this case.
People keep complaining about the price of this case, but there are cases at the same price level that have much less functionally than this case has. Plus it looks so much better.
Oh, nice, it looks like it has the good things of an O11 case but with more radiator space and the cooling that reminds me of my old HAF-X. If it only wasn't that expensive. I'd like an all white version of this HAF 700 Evo.
I understand this Video was done in Feb 22'. I just wanted to say the price has come down to $299 here in the USA, 10/27/22. I would love to build in this case with with your cooling set-up changing out AMD X3D CPU and Radeon 7900XT. Your presentation was very professional. Thanks for that.
The $299 case is actually the HAF 700 berserker, not the evo. Same interior aside from missing the front radiator tray, and the exterior is airflow without the glass and lcd.
This is the first HAF that I've liked, I did wonder about the trimmings. I was hoping they used aluminium or steel for the top and front but no, Coolermaster had to use plastic. The only time this has come off really well for them was with the Comos II, but that has it's own problems internally. This HAF looks to have those trimmings well executed but the pricing is $100 -$150 too high. I'd keep a look out for it heavily rebated or on offer! Another thing, the panels should probably be hinged, I don't mind on a £100 chassis but on a £350 plus? I wouldn't want any chance of breaking the glass. I liked how you angled the tubing, James. It matched the mobo rather well. A good clean build.
If they sold a MATX cubed version of this case that was much smaller & didn't include the LCD screen for half the price I'd be very interested in a case like that for that awesome looking RGB diffused lighting front panel grill.
9:00 From what I have heard ITX would be useful to get latency for memory down a little more since they tend to be closer to the socket then ATX. I don't know that the 5 or so nano seconds would make that much of a difference though.
It's a shame there are so many wasteful parts and pointless aesthetic elements like the screen and the glass+rgb that make this case expensive. If they had trimmed down all this stuff and made this layout an affordable one, this would be the best case on the market by far, an easy winner for the storage/efficiency/w-loop crowd. There are many good ideas put into this case, bummer that it's undermined by useless bling. Never understood how nobody so far borrowed O11-XL's double compartment layout and implemented it in a regular mid-tower. On a side note, I've probably watched a couple of James' reviews so far, they're all good watches. Looking forward to the next one!
your build looks awesome, i am going to do a full pos pressure air build using noctua fans in all the available fan slots (front, top, bottom, sides). because water cooling scares me and i hate maintenance.
What?! Cooler masters return to HAF, guess you forgot the h500p mesh and the h500m. I have the h500m and it’s a beast for cooling, and it’s very low noise at max due to the two 200mm at the front and 140mm exhaust. What I immediately noticed was the really good build quality with CM.
@KitGuruTech Thank you for this review. Having this case from this monday (12 august 2024) & didn't understand how to instal this razer for GPU. You mentioned that it's tool less, when you take out that stubs behind the case, and you didn't unscrew that small bolts? Just installed razer on it & closed by that latch? I decided to install graphic card classically for a time, but unscrewed two small bolts from back & just closed by latch.
Great review and build, James - the cross over angled tubing looks awesome! The sagging GPU riser issue wasn't apparent here, any chance of a short video showing this?
I didn't get chance to show it as I bent the bracket up without thinking. I wouldn't like to bend it back again as it might cause metal fatigue and crack the bracket. It's not a big deal but I like things to be as straight and level as possible. It is an easy fix, a little upwards pressure will pull the sag out of the bracket.
This is sick price (actually here it costs even much more), why almost all pc components prices went sky in compare what were when i was buying my computer 10.5 years ago and they are not giving really much extra. I have haf 932 advanced case, it is very good for temperatures and really don't do much noise (however all components inside must be reasonable selected as it is open one) and i liked it, never needed to worry about any temperatures, big fans are good but not often used anymore also important to me it had let 4x 3.5 drives inside (500 HAF only have 2 slots and because of this i won't buy it unfortun.). Old haf full case costed something like ~$100, why they don't offer something similiar for similiar price? SSD are not good for storage, 2.5 slots won't help for lack of 3.5 slots in 500haf.
I would have thought the price would be $350-450. I like my corsair 1000D more but I like that there are more cases like this. I personally would have gone more extreme with having more room for radiators in a single place like the exhaust, if that's the front or top or outside of the case.
Could you use this case with some of Corsair's iCUE LINK products? Like fans and possibly an AIO until the custom water loop parts are installed. I only ask bc of the different software programs needed. Thanks for the video.
Impressive build job James 🤩🤩👍🤯! Loving the “Nvidia FE” GPU angular tubing design personally. Dells 20+ year old “toolless” design is now a trend setter with this new CM case 🤦♀🤦 lol 😆😝. The case is quite impressive overall and loving the numerous front USB ports. Definitely a server replacement case. I personally prefer this case over the Corsair 1000D 😆.
I prefer this case to build in compared with the 1000D for sure. I know what you mean with the tool less stuff. I remember having a case about 15-20 years ago with tool less PCIe slots. This Cooler Master design is like an evolution of that but still, it's not revolutionary by any means.
Really good build, James. Solid choice going with those 45° bends 👍 Can you speak a bit about how mounting (2) 360s up top would go? Meaning: is it going to be a tall order, or is there just so much width it would be a simple thing. And I’ve seen there is roughly 100mm of clearance for rads/fans there as well. Can you confirm/deny that measurement? Thanks a lot for your work on this video:)
@@KitGuruJames excellent. Was considering getting one of these until you mentioned the materials used. I agree. For the money, it really should be some nice aluminum.
Definitely a case for LANs lol 😂 ultimate desk killer!!! Nice design but the round lcd with an angular case design is a bit off putting for me …… but the rest of the design is quite nice 👍
Im really curious to exactly what rads were used and what resoviour you used. I would love to replicate this build to a T. Just got one of these cases and i LOVE this design.
With that 4 drive cage on the backside, you should be able to fit 4 2TB SSDs, which is almost enough storage for every single game in the Call of Duty franchise..
Great clean straightforward video again James but please tell me, If the case was 20kg without components, what does it weigh with all the gear inside.?
Sad to see there is no option for mounting a second motherboard in there for a dual system build. And storage options seem like they were an after thought.
With this kind of niche market, you only win if you dramatically perform better. By like 90%. This case looks horrible to me visually, but will definitely be liked by others. I've had my 1000D for a while, and even though it is far from perfect, I'd have no reason to switch to this. Yes, maintenance is a pain in the back and cleaning the glass makes me want to ACTUALLY eat glass...But once you've cleaned it, the 1000D is the best looking case in the market to me. I wouldn't give it up. I think CoolerMaster did fine with it, but it's a niche market. And in a niche market, personal taste and utmost performance prevails over anything else. I paid 400 bucks for my 1000D, and it's the best 400 bucks I'll have ever spent on a PC case. Probably till the day I'm not here anymore. Good review.
I know this is old, but I prefer the coolermaster HAF 700 berserker which I have over my Corsair 1000D which I am selling, lol. I currently have 3-420mm xr5's (OEM versions), but will most likely drop the side rad for 2 ekwb quantum P420m that are on the way, and use the FLT 240 on the side with 2x120mm fans below it.
I like the support for 2x 360mm radiators on top, but not a fan of the price or the front grille. Are there any other cases that support 2x top mounted 360 rads?
The only other case I can think of off the top of my head that supports 2 x 360mm top radiators is the Corsair Obsidian 1000D. That also supports dual front radiators too.
Great build, great review, interesting case. Thank you. I think you and I have different interpretations of toolless. I don't usually like ostentatious, garish PC cases but I quite like this one.
I don't normally like ostentatious, garish PC cases, but when I do I like gold ones
Those rigid black tubes are sexy as hell. Case looked empty with that motherboard until those big boy radiators got added.
Very nice build.
Wooow, that was a sick build for a great case. I love when people use a case properly on reviews. Awesome work!
Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it. Building the system was great fun.
Came here for computers, stuck around for the music. Really great build. The case is proper insane

this case is fine if you dont plan go crazy with rads and stuff.

Hot damn, I would love a compact version of this.
The HAF 350
Finally a review of this case done properly with custom water cooling
Beast of a case for a beast of a price.

still waiting on this case

I’ve seen a couple of reviews from others on this case and KitGuru did great. Sick custom loop, makes the case look way cool and did it justice.

I love seeing new large cases, and this one looks quite nice. But my next case is going to be a Thermaltake View 51.
Rectangle, Cubical, straight line, Ellipse, Triangle, Circle.
This case is literally a geometry class. no congruent whatsoever
9:00 From what I have heard ITX would be useful to get latency for memory down a little more since they tend to be closer to the socket then ATX. I don't know that the 5 or so nano seconds would make that much of a difference though.
Price is spot on for what you get. It's not a budget case. Bloody sexy.
Thank you for the review.
No problem 👍

A LEGEND is back.
you could say its a must haf
Old ones are the best...
What a brilliant video review. If I was looking for a case that just blows everything else out of the water I would be purchasing one of these.
Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed the review.
All your builds turn out great!
Job well done sir.
Thanks. 👍
great case breakdown mate
Thanks!
this is honestly the most well designed water cooling loop ive seen so far...i just love the symetry!
Thanks! You know what? It was one of the least time consuming loops I've built and it turned out looking sweet.
Very good build man, I like the configuration of the water cooling, very clean :)
Thanks! 👍👍
With a case this large, I would’ve thought you would have the option of a two PC build.
Nice case,
Awesome build!
This case is a ridiculous $650 in the US.

My dream case
Why not pull the air out of the bottom radiator instead of pulling it into the system?
because hot air raises. th-cam.com/video/yxSiS2WYv2g/w-d-xo.html
My dream case.
Now i have it, just need other parts to make it complete build.

Yeah, the 100mm space sounds about right. I think it should be easy to fit the two 360mm rads up there, plenty of space.
@@KitGuruJames excellent. Was considering getting one of these until you mentioned the materials used. I agree. For the money, it really should be some nice aluminum.
Nice impression of Leo at the start of the video. LOL

Thats a hell of a case. Closest competitor to the 1000d i would say.
I would say so too. It's a better place to build in but it lacks the dual system support of the 1000D.
I wonder if it's the only case that has a indicator screen?

Good lord, what a monster! Still it's quite compelling. Maybe I'll buy one as an ornament without building it up. :-)
I would like to see the parts list
Links for the radiators, tubes, and reservoir?
Please can I install power supply with length 220mm in this case?
What reservoir is that? I want the same water-cooling lineup, but not sure that EK flat reservoir with D5 will fit
It is a beast
Mr what kind of water cooling u used?
It looks like a radiator with rgb. Can probably heat up a room with right components inside.
@KitGuruTech do you think it's possible with some modding to fit a 200x400 radiator in the front if you don't use that bracket?
already a watercooling-loop installed, boah congrats! not a lot of videos with a real loop in this case at the moment on youtube! 16.02.2022
Hi @kitgurutech, can Aorus 4090 Master graphic card fit into HAF700 Evo case?
The Fractal Torrent RGB is half the price, and a much nicer case imo.
Can it be inverted to sit on the left side of a desk?
So vertical gpu is a no go?
No vertical GPU support?
when does this case come out?? I cant find it anywhere
Great build, great review, interesting case. Thank you. I think you and I have different interpretations of toolless. I agree with you that I would like to see more for £500 - $1 = £1, remember, thanks to VAT. Included fans, and snap clips and mounts for the motherboard and fans for starters.
You mentioned that the front fans are 200mm: can you mount a dual 200mm radiator behind them? And are the front fans sufficient to cool it?
While I would have liked to see you show the benefit of the extra slot plate by using a Threadripper build with the GPU in the bottom fully x16 slot I realise you have only so much time. when will it be out for sale
Is there a parts list to this build. I want that liquid cooler setup. Does anyone know where to order it?
All fun and games until someone replaces the two 200mm fans with two silverstone air pentrator 180mm fans with 160 cfm and 6mm of static pressure (for reference the stock 200mm fans push 90 cfm and 0.9mm of static pressure and even high pressure radiator fans only have about 2mm of static pressure)
More like a skoda, not a tesla. But it looks great. If they did a version that does not need to be crammed full of 420mm rads i’d buy it
Tube from gpu blocking the block not cool. With so much space behind you could've routed that one behind it.
Plus, white coolant would be cooler ;)
Nevertheless, can't afford any of that, so nice work.
what is the size of the radiador ? Thanks
Whats that pc build soundtrack?
I love this case but I don't have enough hardware to make it look filled.
how would you drain this loop?
if this case can match HAF X GPU cooling. Im getting it Otherwise ill stick to HAF X.
hope haf900 will got dvd drive
Wait, you can buy PS5 at MSRP? Where?
can you turn off RGB? Please reply as I couldn't find an answer.
Do we have a Part´s list for this setup???
