BEST icing recipe:
2 sticks of butter - whip until it's white and fluffy (I use salted butter)
1 lb of sifted powdered sugar to the butter
3 tbl heavy cream
1 tbl vanilla extract or paste

I put balloons all over my kids room floor the night before their birthday so they wake up to them and streamers hanging from their door. They love it so much. What an amazing party! You did amazing!!! You are always so humble but you did such a good job. ❤

Man times have changed. Ten years ago a papercrown, ten colorful baloons, a cake and ten kiddos playing with each other made an awesome birthday party with great memories. Nowadays you create a freaking themepark in your home and it isn't even considered excessive.
I mean great for the kids, it turned out stunning. Still I got mixed feelings.
I guess I don’t have those experiences to compare it to. Even ten years ago I was throwing birthday parties like this for my 3 year old 🤷🏻♀️ maybe you mean 30 years ago? Lol I never had birthday parties like that though so I don’t know.

I make a balloon arch for my daughter’s birthday every year. So, it’s sort of a tradition that my fingers are all bloody and sore for her birthday. I started using the wire hanger trick, and that helped.

I can say from experience that one of my most memorable birthday parties was when I was 7 and I walked into my grandparents house and balloons covered the floor. 🎉🎉
At the time I had a major fear of balloons because I hated when they popped.
But I can say that it helped me overcome my fear and I remember it to this day.

You need a balloon pump...that comes with a hose attachment. They are super cheap and will blow up your balloons and inflatables. You thow a lot of parties it's definitely a worthy purchase lol. Love all this btw 😊🧜♀️

You do go all out for your parties. My kids just got to take their friends to Bogeys, bounce house, roller skating, with cheap pizza and a store bought cake.

I have girl/boy twins and I'm already planning their first birthday party in my head (they're only 2 months old 😂) and I'm thinking Under the Sea with a focus on sharks and mermaids, so each twin has a sub-theme (yes, Im ridiculous) so if I go with that, I'll be referencing this video for inspiration. PS save the cloth you bought, the netting and the white scallop shells. You can reuse them and you can decorate the netting with the shells since it didn’t look like a lot of them were used to paint on.
