Thanks for posting video- not much out there on this guitar. The bridge pickup is two single coils -4 screws on pickguard ( not a normal humbucker-2 screws ). It would interesting to hear the pickup configuration on clean channel.... thanks again !
I recently ordered an Eart CP-1 guitar, from China.... got a lot great reviews... same color-configuration: I love daphne/sonic-blue.... The guitar is seriously great for a 500 euro/dollar-ish guitar
My purple mv6 is getting delivered tomorrow. Does anyone know if it's possible to replace the pickups with some noiseless big brand pickups, while still maintaining the switching configuration?
I used the Ampero mini as a clean (no overdrive) amp (Mesa Lonestar) and my Carl Martin DC drive (OD) and a Friedman BEOD deluxe (Dist). All straight in to my daw. It's the same setup I use live.
@@mickenilsson I know where you are going but it isn’t a humbucker design. Humbuckers share the same windings, the coils are smaller and they are attached to the same ground plane which will give them a different frequency response. According to your logic I could just wire the pickups in a telecaster in series and it would be a humbucker. Short answer to your question, two single coils in series doesn’t equal a humbucker. I am an electrical engineer I would know and if you pulled up the patent on a humbucker this wouldn’t legally qualify.
@@bluwng Well, it sounds overwhelmingly convincing. So there is no meaning to just ignore it for that reason alone. No matter what you bring to the table with pure physical facts, doesn't change the sound of the pickups in the humbucker mode. It sounds really good and humbuckery. That's enough for me. 🌹
@@mickenilsson Thanks a bunch. I saw another reviewer say it was a 'heavy basswood' body.. but the Sweetwater site shows an ordinary 7lbs 10 ounces. Pretty standard for strats and superstrats I'd say. Can't wait to try it! Love your playing and a fantastic review!
hello mikael! i consider buying this guitar. do i understand correctly that you can use the bridge pickup in humbucker mode to play metal stuff, but you can also use the bridge pickup in single coil mode for hendrix stuff? are you satisfied with the tremolo system and tuning stability?
It feels like a slightly thicker neck, a whole different set of sounds, for the better in my opinion, due to the different wirings, and it's slightly lighter than the NJ. I would upect though, that the body is identical to the NJ series. The weight probably varies from NJ to NJ too.
Your phrasing is mind blowing! Incredible playing
Wow. Thanx 🌹❤️
I love that guitar. Specially the white with ebony finger board. Very nice video🎉🎉🎉
@@TheG7thcapo Many thanx. Much appreciated 🙏♥️
Thank you for this. Even if it's just an intro! Great sounds! Haven't seen much on the MV6 yet so this is great
Finally a playthrough of this guitar. Not disappointed 😊
Thanx ❤️ Doing a longer vid this weekend adding a clean sound recording it in my DAW.
My man... Those are some serious chops! Outstanding playing, on what seems to be a wonderful guitar!

could we could get some more clean classic strat sounds in the next video?
I will do the whole spectra from clean to hi gain recorded to my DAW in a couple of days. 🌹
Great video in showing this guitar. Thank you! Would you gig with this guitar?
Thank u very much ❤️. I do gig this guitar. Not a problem. It holds upp very well. 🌹

Wait hold on a second. My face melted off and it’s all over the floor.
😂❤️
Is that good or bad? 😁
@@mickenilsson yes. Lol
You just leave me hangin here 🤣
@@mickenilsson you’re great man! Good demo for sure 👍🏼
Hi! How could you compare it to MIM fender stratocaster? Is there anything better in fender?
Hi Mikael, I think there is no humbucker at the bridge, but two adjacent SS, so an SSS guitar!
The two singlecoils are connected so they make a humbucker when in first position.
@@mickenilsson Yes, functionally, in first position.
Sound so good... what amp and pedals you use in this video?

It’s not a humbucker it’s literally two separate single coils in series.
Yes... Wich makes....!?

@@mickenilsson no I love this guitar it is what a Strat should have evolved to . Fender was stuck in antiquity and never evolved.
Hey Mikael, sounds Great! I just got the same model. How you did you have the pickups height set up in this guitar?
I set the pickup so the closest pole piece is 4mm away from the string above it.
@MikaelNilsson how do you like it so far???
I really like it, and in so many aspects. Both sound and feel is really good.
Hi Mikael,
Is it heavy with the basswood body ?
I'm happy at 7 or 8 pounds but not 9!
Thanks!
This specific guitar was not heavy. A qualified guess would be round 7.

What's the difference between this one and regular hss strat?
@@vitamin2845 Totally different guitar, sound and feel. Better in my taste but not for everyone off course. Listen to the different pickup toggles.
How's this different from the nick johnston?

All of your pickups are crooked.
