How End-to-End Encryption works | The Signal Protocol and Privacy Vs Security

This video talks about End-to-End Encryption, and basically why governments should not break it,
trying to get chat records and traces of fake messages.
Privacy is a big issue these days, and encryption is the cornerstone of all internet security and privacy.
In this video, See how it works in somewhat detail, where I will explain basics of encryption with Caesar cipher, then we will ramp it up and talk a bit about AES, talk a lot about Key Exchange protocols and Asymmetric Encryption techniques like Diffie Hellman Key Exchange and RSA, respectively.
We will also talk a bit about Trap door / one way functions, especially prime factorization.
Finally we will see the overview of Signal Protocol (and its two parts: Extended Triple Diffie Hellman and Double Ratchet), the method used by Whatsapp and Signal to encrypt its messages.

As someone who works in infosec, I really appreciate how you explained encryption is such simple language, and make the concept so much easier for everyone to grasp.
ofcourse one might want to argue that "encryption is a lot more complicated than that", but I honestly think that people understanding at the level you explained would already solve so much misunderstanding about encryption and why letting governments have back-doors aren't worth the cost to us as a society.

Okk mere ek question ka answer dijiye brooo ..... Ki yadi ye WhatsApp encrypted hai or WhatsApp hmara data read nahi kr sakti to jb hm koi link WhatsApp pe paste krte hai ti wo INDEX ya Us link ke data ko fetch kaise kr leta hai ????
That all happens before you hit send and before encryption kicks in. All the processing is done on the phone in that case, you can try this:
If you paste a link and quickly send it without giving WhatsApp on your phone a chance to get a preview of your link, it will be sent as plain text link without any extra stuff.
Instagram isn’t end-to-end encrypted, and it generates the preview of the link after you send the message.

Even your keyboard knows what you are typing. WhatsApp or any other app like Telegram/signal can identify links, but that processing and data fetch is done on the phone, not on the servers of companies. That data isn’t stored and sent to the servers.
