Thankyou Wendy for this Awesome recipe for Sannas..I tried making them yesterday and they turned out perfect, Tasty & soft pillow like😊..Thankyou again
Made these yummy Sannas again the second time for Easter..This time my parents, who are visiting me, tried them and were so amazed at the final product..Thanks to you, Wendy..God bless you..Wish I could share a picture of the Sannas.
Does the alcohol In the toddy move away out completely in the steaming and fermentation process ? Concern as if it has alcohol may not want to give it to kids ...
That's right, Sweet and white. Soft and spongy, Sannas of toddy. To go with a gravy, Coconut and jaggery, Delicious and tasty. Thanks for sharing, Your recipe on toddy. 👍👌😋😋
Wow that useful hack for toddy is genius 👌 The Sannas look so fluffy & the ones with the Jaggery make me reminisce of my childhood ! Thanks a ton for sharing .
Tried this for Christmas Wendy, it came out too Good enjoyed it with your Sorpotel recipe. We follow so many of your recipes..... Blessed Christmas to you Wendy.
Hi just curious what's the name of the dish that's similar to this in srilanka ? It has to have rice coconut water and toddy and a jiggery....is the name sinnakku ?
Excellent my dear. A Goan so far away from Goa....can't say much you guys help us guys far far away and no one to make for us or even buy ...let alone Indian spices or anything. Thanks Cliff in the UK
Thanks for the recipe, Wendy. Mouthwatering. Reminded me of my childhood days. My mama made sannas, using fresh palm toddy and coconut milk. She insisted on using coconut milk. Today, many do not know the difference between sannas and idlis, like appams and dosas.
I’m sure the sannas your mum made must have been delicious 😋 my grandma always used fresh grated coconut and toddy that came from her coconut plantation in Goa. And yes a lot of people mistake one for the other.
Love to watch your channel you are so inspiring and tried some of your recipes and OMG turned so good thanks Wendy may you have more and more subscribers.

Assalamalaykum. Thankyou Wendy. I also make Sannas especially on Eid. You can make different colours by adding colouring, yellow, green, pink etc, etc. I have never tried the Sanna with jaggery but I will most definitely give it a try.
Phenomena, I have not tried making sannas in an instant pot but may be you could give it a shot. Make half the batch as a trial one. Would love to know how it turns out 😊
Wendy also you can use cucumber for the sweet sannas batter. You can blend the cucumber (no water) seperately and then add it in the batter. It tastes even better. Try it. Actually large cucumbers called taushay in Konkani is used. Since its only found in maharashtra u can use cucumber.

Devu tuka ekdom borem korun, dear Wendy! As a Goan-Canadian, living in a land devoid of coconut trees, I’m especially grateful to you for having taught us how to make our own Toddy! I now look forward to making my own Sannas with this authentic touch, to transport me back to my youth when Sunday morning breakfasts often featured delicious saucer-sized Sannas! I’ve just Liked & Subscribed, hoping to keep honing my skills at Amchem Jevon
So well presented Wendy. Curious as to how long the toddy stays fresh for. Not sure if it has to be made 24 hours before making the batter. Don't want it to spoil if I make it two days before making the batter. Let me know

Hi Wendy, love all your recipes. Love the way you present. Can you tell me if I could make them in instant pot as I do not have steamer
Phenomena, I have not tried making sannas in an instant pot but may be you could give it a shot. Make half the batch as a trial one. Would love to know how it turns out 😊
If you do make it in an instapot, please don't seal the whistle. Leave it on venting. 13 minutes should do
Very very very nice good job love you sister ❤🙏👌👍😘😘💐💐
Gonna try your toddy receipe for sure coz it's very rare this day to find toddy tappers around thanks 👏👏👏
Hope you enjoy
Nice mam tq

Hello Wendy, would appreciate if you could let me know where can one find these saana containers. Never ever made these, just had them during childhood back then growing up in India. But you have inspired and motivated me to try making them. So thank you & God bless. Keep motivating & inspiring all.

Great recipe. Can the dry flaked coconut be used instead of fresh? Pace of presentation is excellent.
Thanks😊 Fresh Coconut works best😊

So well presented Wendy. Curious as to how long the toddy stays fresh for. Not sure if it has to be made 24 hours before making the batter. Don't want it to spoil if I make it two days before making the batter.
Let me know
As long as you keep it clean, it is okay to use it even upto a week. But remember that the alcohol content will keep increasing as the days go by! ;-)
@@AnthonyBalraj Thanks😊. That's helpful.
