So much to unpack. Osegueda channels Dio, Ripper plus Alissa's clean vocals is a revelation, then the two lead singers of Testament in the last verse. Alex. Portnoy and Ellefson are all beasts throughout. The other soloists are monsters. By any reasonable standard the GOAT cover.

It was so dope when I got to meet them at the Musician's Institute. I didn't even know they were even coming by, but my buddy's band was going to open up for them the following day, so they were having a meet-n-greet followed by a Q&A. My buddies were like, "Hey! Wanna see something cool?" And they pulled me backstage to hang out with Metal Allegiance! lol
Best version I've ever heard. One of those rare moments, very rare, where the remake is as good or better than the original. Dio would be all over this. It pays great tribute to him and does his legend proud.
Frankly, I like Dio's version way better. I find this one boring. Especially the shreddy solo. The original draws me in immediately, this one has no soul.
