When Phil started to sing... WOW!!!! What a fucking awesome voice. When a song hits you like that, to the point of giving goose bumps, it is so cool

agreed.Phil really has a good vocal range,he pulls of screams,shrieks and melodies all easily. I listen to alot of different music,alot of styles of metal & Phil seems to hit it right when he does vox. Hell alot of the bands sounded better when Phil was doing guitar(Necrophagia & Christ Inversion) and his Viking Crown project was good for what it was. Arson Anthem is great because Mile Williams does vox & that's what drew me to AA.When i found Phil & Hank were involved i knew i would dig it. Even Southern Isolation was good,i love Opals voice...it gives that goosebump tingly feeling when she hits certian notes. Superjoimt is just ferocious,the guitar hooks are sick...but would we expect any less from Jimmy Bower of Eyehategod ? In my opinion,no.they are all great bands. I hate when people say "oh u just dig it because Phil is affiliated"...& in actuality it's like,NO BECAUSE IT IS GOOD MUSIC! But i guess everyone is entitled to their opinion. Idk what the deal is with the Illegals or DOWN but i love all of the music thorpughly. Yes we all know nothing will ever encapsule Pantera again,and it is unfortunate. But just be happy we got Pantera at all(to all the people who say Phil is knockin off Pantera) what,so now a musician can only have 1 style,band or sound? Bullshit. Keep the heavy doses of metal coming Phil.Respect.

Just when I was about to give up on Phil's vocal work, the guy comes out singing as good as he did years ago. Definitely the best he's sounded since the third Down album.
+EyeShotFirst I was very disappointed in the vocal work on Philip H Anselmo "the album" but this shows he does still have what it takes.
Phil has amazing range in his voice, but I feel he hardly used any of it through the album. Not saying I don't like the album, just I think he could have done better, I know he is capable of awesomeness.
Yeah, he almost sounds like a different man. I thought during the Superjoint period, that his range was gone, and then he comes out with On March The Saints, and it's like a rebirth. Donald Pittman

It is so good to hear Phil sing. I grew up trying to imitate his singing, he's always been one of my favorite frontmen.
Phil is the God of metal. Nobody even comes close.
the whole metal allegiance thing worked much more than I thought it would.
It would be hard to fail if you bring Skolnick, Ellefson and Portnoy to the party.
I think this is the closest thing to how Pantera would sound in 2015 and I'm loving it!

its not even that old but still gives me nostalgia. i remember when i was listening to this was around the time i was struggling to get a job, spent 1 year at home and barely went outside. would spend 16 hours a day on my computer and barely went outside :(

Phil sounds fucking amazing here! Still one of metal's best voices. So what if he can't hit the same notes as in Cemetery Gates? The man's voice has been evolving with each passing year since the start and here's where it's at now and I think he's doing great. People give him so much shit for his voice these days because of the changes but there are many reasons for these changes in his voice from lifestyle to screaming and more but whatever it is, I believe it's just part of the evolution of one of music's greatest voices and I liked where his voice was at then and I like where his voice is at now. Keep it up, Phil!

heres johnny agreed. En minor isn’t extreme but it doesn’t sound like this. He sounds really good here and he should do more of this. Well down has 2 more eps waiting so who knows if if he’ll sing like this once they get into to the studio together again.
