I’ll admit I’m not a consistent viewer, (I watch too many reactions to keep up with them all) but I love seeing your wife’s excitement and moments of being overwhelmed by her emotions at the show. It’s just like I was when Shippuden was airing.

The fact manga is kinda like a book (kinda) and look what type of influence and all the cool merchandise that was made based on the popularity. Kinda how like Harry Potter was impactful and everything that was made based of the popularity of it is wild 🔥
This episode is where shiet starts to get real, many of my favourite shippuden moments started here with Madara entering the battle among other things to come It will be a rollercoaster of emotions from now on 🙂 If something is in japanese I watch subbed, it is so much better, but then again I just love the japanese language, there is so much emotion in so little speech
C had me cracking up this episode, I'm glad there wasn't any cry moment in here and she finally got pure excitement all the way through. It's still fun with the raw cry emotional moments, but this was a nice change of pace. That realization when the real Madara has appeared, making you question who heck you had assumed was Madara for the last 100 or more episodes is truly a great moment for a first-time Naruto watcher. I'm once again apologizing to the dub watchers out there ahead of time, and respectfully I just cannot deal with the dubs, they're just so bad compared to subs w/Japanese voice acting. Just as I commented in the Pain episode, it appears that the voice actor is putting in a lot of effort to get it right, but it just doesn't hit. It's not scary, there's no real Madara vibe to the voice. The words used, once again, are appropriate for what needs to be translated, but it just doesnt hit right spoken in English. I say this as someone very proficient in English, and doesn't know any Japanese. I don't understand any Japanese but one or two words, and I still prefer the raw emotion in sub rather than the twisted mess that is dub. I can't describe why perfectly, but I it's a gut feeling that i've confirmed time and time again, but checking out the dub after seeing so many suggestions, and not once have I come out agreeing. Thank you J & C for bringing a long the audience for this ride. I've only ever watched both Naruto Series when they first aired, and never want back for a rewatch, this has been a BLAST!!! Hope for the best for you two, I'll do my part to run up the numbers!

I also preffer sub version of any anime instead of dub because there are only a few in czech language and Naruto czech dub version isnt bad but japanese voices with subs works best for me. Enjoy the last few episodes of my fav anime and thank you for a recap session with both of you.
I never expected more to see women understand about fighting, unlike men who can enjoy every detail of attack and defense movements, women only see the results of the fight
Madara in dub is excellent. You picked a random clip and are judging it off ten seconds. He's awesome like one of the most iconic dubbed anime characters ever. What you said is true if you started a show subbed it's impossible to like the dub as much even if it's good. Naruto in dub isn't great overall. Madara is an exception and a couple others characters in this show. Subbed overall Naruto is def better
I feel like a bad person for noticing something about Casey... if you pay attention to politics than maybe I can speak in code to you... she has something in common with ex governor Cuomo. Which I'm sure she would be embarrassed to realize that someone noticed, but it's definitely not an insult. Lucky guy Jordan, I've thought about trying to talk my wife into getting that too.

I can respect the dub/sub choices across the entire show, but arguably, the voice actor for Madara’s dub is better than sub based on how much personality he brings to the character. I’d say the opposite for Sasuke, I think his sub actor is better. It’s little moments when they absolutely nail the character within a line that makes the character and voice actor shine.
