Definitely shouldn’t try running it without the blade, it needs the centrifugal weight of the blade to start and run properly. Without the the blade attached the puller handle can snap back and hurt your wrist when starting the engine plus it won’t run properly because the centrifugal force isn’t there (it’s an aluminum flywheel). The blade bolt also holds the drive pulley up in place, without it tightened all the way in the pulley and new belt can go out of alignment and get chewed up. Other than that last part at the end great video though!
Do you have a part number of the belt ? Or where did you buy it from ?
Sorry I can not find where I got the belt. Sorry but I bet it was on Ebay.
You didn't compare the new drive cable with the old cable as you did with the new/old drive belt?
I eye balled it. The clips on both ends looked right so I rolled with it. Thanks for watching
Do you have your model number? Mine is scraped off I can only see 370446. I need to order all 3 cables and nobody can help me without the model number.

My model is 917.370680. Mine is worn off now also, but my son took a pic of it when we were ordering parts. Luck he had it. Thanks for watching
