I can’t even beat the very first battle with Reid. I was stupid enough to choose the fire starter and this first fight won’t let me change which beigoma I use.
All you need its just wait till end game or Dijkstra invite to the location there he want to hunt lens and farm 2 beigomas and just add ghost rider and you easy win everybody this mini game is a definition of "pay - to - win"
currently looking through, there's usually 2 to 3 persons.... but this is really a bad decision from the designers to force you to battle with regular people (I'm currently at the last step, but I can't find the last 2...)

Wait until you get to the level with globomancer boss. You 3 golds at minimum. Challenge anyone in town to change you lineup. Then Challenge Reid. That was the only way I figured out how to change my starting.
You get some spinners from random encounters by Wolf and wyvern Monster. Great Forest( big one when you leave the castle) Don't know the exactly correct Name. There I got Wyvern Rang D(+atk,+Fire) Hellhound Rang C (+atk, +reach) This two plus the starter you choose, and you are good to go to for some fights and there you get better parts from players to recruit the Dr.

Reid is the very last character I have to recruit and I'm almost at the end of the game. The only ones missable that I know of are Leene if you don't get all 119 before her point is passed and Galladur because of a bug(can't confirm). I suggest getting Galladur the first chance you can after the Yarnaan stuff happens just in case.

@@Taluuw I agree with you. In the CC Club quest from FF VIII, you just need to play with the essential members, not with the regular players.
