It does take radiation damage
Also you can use crouch key to descend, and hold space to land. Given they were wrong about all these things I wonder what the ascend key is and what else they missed.
Does haz suit make any difference if the rider has one ?
@@Gpa32Tipsno the zepline takes damage directly don’t matter if you got a full tek suit on it’s classified as a wood structure for a reason it’s designed to be a poor man’s skiff so flameys and rad absolutely reck them

Fella, note for the future: When testing damage, maybe turn off creative mode lmao. I'm **fairly** certain that's why your zeppelin took no damage in the rad zone when everybody else's do.
GCM shouldn't have affected the zep when he wasn't riding it, but it absolutely takes rad dmg.

It does have altitude commands, for PC Ascend is X and descend is C. Just incase no one has figured it out yet.

Def does heavy rad damage. It’ll get the same timer your character would with taking rad damage

@@dustinwatkins-vj1sxyou can put linked storage box. Makes metal farming broken. Have ur buddy stand in base next to a dedicated storage and farm all the metal in blue zone at once and just upload it to the box as you go. Works on official really well def the fastest way to do it so far

Also noticed that apparently the wild plant species Z will actually heal your zepplin as if it were a tame so that's an easy way to repair it with no resource cost until it maybe gets patched out.
Remember when rafts got introduced and they could "follow" you and even jump out of the water like most of the fish used to do?

Let's not forget the crazy combo of zeppelin and the stopwatch! You can fly over a nest, a Dino, loot drop, anything. Use the watch drop down grab your loot and teleport back up and fly away!
That watch is awesome
It takes no damage from barefist or stone tools but takes damage from metal tools at the same value a thatch structure would.
Has 50 structure limit, consumes ~3-4 fuel every 3 seconds when it is hovering idle (1 gasoline = 200 fuel / 1 oil = 100 fuel), descends if unpiloted for 3 minutes and when it has aquired a radiation damage dot; it takes 100 damage per second out of its 20,000 health pool.
Moves about 7% faster than a raft and if it touches water, it won't move unless you budge it; so when mine fell out of the sky to the bottom of the lake it needed some time to slowly nudge it upwards. I've not tried seeing what lava damage it might take but imagine it's similar to the amount that rafts placed in lava do.

You can also use oil as fuel if you don't want to refine gas, although you don't get as much fuel points per stack.

I took it down the spine to transport my tribe mates to the entrance of the drake trench and I had to drop them off and immediately fly back up and park before it died from rads. Then used my wing suit to meet them. But don’t take it to get drakes. It’s a one way trip with it.
I wonder if you can place a horse+cart on it to circumvent the weight.
If u put anything a quetz platform it takes on its weight. I'm assuming this would be the same case as cart on a zeppelin
@@Deathb4life357 yes, but a doedic riding a quetzal would be able to carry more stone than a quetzal would in it's own inventory. probably same mechanics here. 1800 is pretty abysmal for something that can carry that much though...
Just put a foundation and then the linked storage from dlc. You won’t need anything else

Probably not, you can’t put them on rafts so I’m assuming you can’t on zeppelins either

This does take radiation damage. I learned it 1st hand, lmao. It does a count up. As soon as you enter the zone, it will count to I assume it is 1000 seconds, I may be wrong on the timer. But yes, ours blew up, my friend and I became Drake food.
I'm not sure how your Zepplin isn't taking radiation damage. when I was in SP mine took radiation damage and took half its health.

You can go straight up by holding X, and go down holding C
It takes radiation damage. Too bad, feeding an Oviraptor mushroom brew and taking it for a drive through the Drake trench would have been sick.

It is a pvp device put a stego and edge up to cliff bases u can now soak them easier
So much bad information here! Zeppelin does take rad damage!!!!!! You CAN place turrets on it as well. Maybe if you actually played the game instead of flyihg around in creative mode all the time you would know that 🤷🤷🤷
Can you place a teleporter on this? it could come in handy for when you need to get to an area you want to get resources that bit quicker.
Runs on just oil also and fungel wood.
I rushed this and damn im grateful, farming metal and finding tames was easier and being able to spam up high
You can use a large teleporter to move it across the map quickly.
If you teleport it with structures, they become invisible. Just get out of render, and they will come back. You are welcome. 😊

You can use wood and thatch as gas also to power it

@@kingklipo yes it would because wood contains water but with steam engines which is what steam punk is based off of all that is needed a boiler and a fire source to boil the water to create a steam engine.
The weight placed in storage is recognized heavier than using a Dino as storage
Would be nice if they had blueprints for a better Zeppelin or Sir-5rM8 to allow more weight or some other benefit

I'm putting a cryofridge, armor, consumables, and bed on one. Parking it over the rock drake zone fast travelling and stealing eggs. When it gets worth flying back ill bring it back. 😊

So if you take it in the radiation zone be careful, just ran into the issue that it teleported me above the map and when I ran into radiation up there my zep took damage from the radiation so not sure if that was a one time thing or whatever but it did take radiation damage.

@teachersgametoo it can use raw OIL AND THATCH as FUEL. IF YOU DONT HAVE GASOLINE!!! Pure thatch damnit lol
One thing which annoys me is the weight cap, and you can’t change it which makes it worse, so many servers which have 10000000000x weight are missing out on this
I wouldn’t put structures on them yet. I’ve had nothing but problems with structures.
First time the structures turned sideways and sunk into the zepplin making it undriveable.
Relog it worked 4 me I was stuck everything I got on or of only happened couple times but ya relog

actualy you dont need generator for most of the things, they work with gasoline as well, ie. fabricator, grill, alchemy table..etc. Turn on, craft, turn off

I wasn’t able to build on this everything was red on placement. Also he never mentioned the zeppelin was if you bought bobs tales. It’s not a mid game unlocked Ingramas he stated. Misleading for people who watch this.

I do really like the addition of another vehicle though, I was really bummed that they just gave up on the ATV. It's not a very important niche but it's nice having things that just sit there and don't draw aggro (For real though please make the quetzal useful I'm begging you)

Annoyingly the zeplines require gas which needs oil and oil rocks can only be found in the rad zone and yet it takes rad damage despite being a machine. (Idk why it didn’t take rad damage in the video but it took a metric tonne of rad damage and rad sickness when I tried it)
Dung beetles are in the blue zone. Just take a few and you’re good.

You can only get any of the new stuff if you get Bob's tall tail. Money grabbing wildcard. So basically a lot of people wont get to experience anything new. Literally playing a different game 😢
