@@christopherangel6690 I don't think any version of the second theme of the 60s MG is out there in the clear. That shouldn't be confused with the theme from the CBS revival which was 73-82.
@@epaddon The original theme to the 60s Match Game is from an instrumental by Billy Vaughn called A Swingin Safari. th-cam.com/video/Z1xdETJQuq8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=MiAwNluOoaPXFFDT
And just to clarify, these did air one week earlier to the rest of the country and I'm going by the date the person at home taped these on. Detroit aired the show on a one week delay because their 4 PM slot was taken up by their local Bozo show so they would air at 1 PM which necessitated doing the previous week all the time.
BTW, I just checked the guide and you list Hugh Downs replacing Joe Garagiola on the Friday show of the July 1-5, 1968 week. That didn't happen. I have all five shows of that week as part of the same lot (They're lower quality than these which is why they won't be uploaded) and Garagiola was on all five shows.
@@epaddon I'm hoping someone has the finale in audio form. The newspaper archives don't list any celebrities, and I'm somehow skeptical about the final week being Betty White & Brian Keith.
This was about 3 months before they changed the theme music.
I have the new theme as my ring tone

Last show of the old set:)
Thank you, just updated the episode guide on the Goodson-Todman fandom. Almost certain it was Mel Stottlemyre who backed out at the last minute.

@@epaddon Big fan of Garagiola, those 1968 episodes sound interesting.
