I've done exactly this please give me advise on the wiring. How do you switch this motor to the on position? I do not have a stator - what I do have is a electric motor, the controller, water cooled pump and 12v inverter. What am I missing? Aa per your video i seem to be missing that switch on the handle bar in tour video
Yes - you may be missing an ignition signal to your controller to allow it to 'power' on. This is typically a switched output from the high voltage battery to the controller or a 12/24VDC feed from an auxiliary battery. Cheers
From memory they have available in 72v, 96v and 120v (@ 4000RPM). Although you may be able to inquire to have a different winding type for lower voltage. Cheers
For a road bike it could work well with a geared sprocket arrangment. Maybe check the fitment. The motor is a 280 x 280mm square shape, with four large mount holes on the corner. Cheers
Sorry I realised you were meaning the 20kw motor. They are made by golden motor. You can visit their website goldenmotor.com and make an inquiry. Cheers
every motor is 0 ohms on multimetar, you can measure resistance with bench power supply, limit power supply to ex 10A and measure voltage drop with multimetar.
Sir I really need help with this motor we have also bought the same motor but we have some doubt can you plss provide you contact information. We are in need.
I enjoyed the great video, I'm learning about BLDC motors, and I have a question, so I'll ask. In the video, the hall sensor of the motor is not connected. What settings are applied to the controller... or not, I want to know if it is possible to do sensorless even in a pure state, Have a nice day~~~
Thanks, sensorless is possible if the controller allows for it. Rotor movement at startup will be more irregular, and possibly less torque. Once running both sensored and sensorless performance are about equal. Cheers
Thanks for the reply. Then, in the original condition of the Kelly controller you are using... It is interpreted that both sensor and sensorless can be implemented, As a reference, I envision I am studying because I am planning to drive a hybrid car motor. A motor of about 20-50KW is expected. thanks again~~~
I wish to attach a brush to the shaft of this motor so I can clean my dirty bottom after making stinky. Will this motor have enough power?
do you know why it has little cogging? Did it happen at low rpm ?
I suspect either the 2 stators are offset slightly or the axial flux design results in less magnetic interaction between poles.

Why there are 2 pair of same colour wire are coming out is there any reason?
There are 2 individual stators - effectively 2 motors in one.
Sick, that motor looks strong for EVs
Great Job. Keep us updated please
Thanks - Ill try record some progress videos. Im working on it every spare moment
600W lost on internal friction? (55V 11A no load) ??
Yep it's a bit but that's at full speed. With 25kW, I would expect losses to be around 2-3kW (90% efficiency)
hi do they have this in a 48V version?
From memory they have available in 72v, 96v and 120v (@ 4000RPM). Although you may be able to inquire to have a different winding type for lower voltage.

Torquey. Any predictions on output
Rated power of the motor is 20-25kw continuous.
I'm not sure if that is with liquid cooling?
Cheers
Can u assembly that to ebike?

What controller are you using to control that motor?
I've got a KLS-8080H 600A sine controller which I'm planning to power it in the car.
Where can I buy this controller?
I havent had any experience with them yet so don't know how good they are.
kellycontroller.com/shop/kls-8080h/
How efficient is that motor your testing and what voltage are you testing it at ty.
90% efficient under loaded operation. 72v at 4000RPM defines the KV constant of the motor.
Thanks
How can i get my hands on that motor
What country are you in? Some may find it harder to find such in old washing machines

hell yes. good job
Hello and welcome. I am honored to have you. Can you send me the address of the supplier for the motors and controls? Thank you.

Pls how much is the 20 kw ,the price pls from which company can I order it.
Golden Motor.
Price on website.

Motoenergy also provide great motors at reduced size, but good power and cost.

I want to see this run your the car you once tried before with the smart drive
I am currently designing the mount for it in the car :)

Should be on the Golden Motor website

Pretty sick
No load 11 amp.. mayben full load ( 250 kg ) up to 40 amp.
Should be able to draw 300 - 600A under load. Cheers

The kelly controller is sensored only.
@@stefanstoove9254 I think sensored consume less energy or am I wrong?
Possibly slightly less due to more smooth operation
