Damn, I think I like the original better! They both sound great, though....maybe the newer one is a little too clean/subtle compared to the original.
I bought one, and I really love it. I use it on my Acoustic pedalboard. Great chorus, without the seasick-pitch-warble. I use the F.T.T. Tri Avatar ( it's phenomenal ) on my big-pedalboard. Nice comparison though.
Glad I hung on to my 1989 purchased DC-2. Has more of the 3D spatial chorusing of the rack mount it got it's circuitry from (Dimension-D). The waza sounds more like an Axe Fx copy of the original!
DC-2 more modulated. Dc-2w a little subtle, like the CE-2W in CE-2 mode
I have the DC-2W but now I'm thinking I need a DC-2. I live in Japan and the vintage ones are about 10-20% cheaper than the Waza but most of all, it sounds warmer and more dimensional in this clip.
The original was fine but so limited.I had one since it came out.Only needed one mode most of the time but it sounded cool.
The new one is awesome with all the extras.The combo buttons are beautiful

The original one is definitely more lo-fi which I like better tonally but the Waza has more options and is cheaper which I also like. I think I might bite the bullet and get the original though.
Having watched a couple of these videos, I feel like the differences from one DC-2 to another are about as big as the differences from any given DC-2 to the DC-2w. Yet for some reason there doesn't seem to be quite as universal praise for the DC-2W as there is for the CE-2w. Hard to tell why this is. I also worry the TH-cam compression really dampens hearing the differences. I've heard it said the DC-2w is warmer, where as the DC-2 is more metallic, with there being pros/cons to each of that for recording etc. I've also heard the DC-2 has less headroom/distorts more easily, especially with humbuckers. Any thoughts? Did you end up keeping only one? Which?
I can't speak for everyone, but I like ce-2 much more than ce-2w. I love the dirt, softness, and coloration of the midrange of the original pedal. DC-2 is really distorting with humbuckers but all my guitars with singles and the DC-2 sound nicer to me for the same reasons as the ce-2 :)

No, unfortunately, did not have time
The original is thicker where as the Waza cuts out low end and low mids. Basically a different pedal. I like the original better, sorry to say.
