If you want to hear how great any chorus or dimension c pedal sounds, use a Strat in the 4th position. Thats where you hear the real water

Dimension C is my favorite modulation pedal ever now, it’s actually subtle but can be very in your face as well if you want it. The differences with each mode are quite distinct, and overall I adore both modes for different styles. It’s expensive so I saved up for months wanting to be sure it would fit my styles and it does. Highly recommend it

Just a fantastic demo, thank you!! Really got a very good idea of the different sounds of the 2 pedals---they both sound great!! Slight edge to the Dimension in that I thought it worked better with distortion than the Chorus but really get go wrong with either pedal, Boss really hit it out of the park with the Waza series, great video!!

Don't be fooled by the Dimension sounding better here. Both are good and dependent on guitar, amp, other pedals, playing styles and song the CE-2W can often be superior to. The CE-2W can give a British voiced amp (especially a vox) a similar effect to a Roland Jazz Chorus, the dimension seems to shine on flat or Fender amps (it can SRV on a Fender amp in D mode).

Great point. I’ve listened to a bunch of these demos with these 2 pedals, and I can’t draw a conclusion of which is better. But since I play a Les Paul maybe the dimension is the one for me

I have both of the waza versions, I constantly switch between the two. Depends on the mood and why you’re aiming for that day of practice.

The chorus has always been too thin for me.I had a Dimension C when it first came out and it is a wonderful effect.
The new features , the multi buttons, make it actually better value Great demo as always !

I own both and I often swap them back and fourth :) both are very good pedals

The Seeker, I own neither of these pedals. But, I like your comment because I think if
I owned both I would be doing the same as you (the swapping back and forth, that is). ; )

I just bought the dimension-C, and now I want the chorus purely because of the vibrato mode!! My amp has vibrato but that's post pedal board, so when I loop stuff, I can't loop the vibrato on my amp, I need a pedal for that. Grrrr. I thought this dimension c completed my pedalboard but now I want the chorus too! And I wouldn't swap them out, I'd run them together regularly lol. The vibrato plus the dimension c? I'm sure they would sound great together if done correctly!!

I want a chorus just to soften up cords when playing through my tube amp. So I can play Tom Petty and John Cougar stuff. Which one should I buy?

Dimension C in stereo sounds more like a Jazz Chorus 120 than CE2 or 1.
That’s the closest you can get without getting a JC. The best chorus is a JC 120 period. This is the best Boss Modulation pedal.

Great demo! This channel is always so consistent. The manual for the dc-2w shows it being run into the front of two amps but could you run it in the fx loop?

    • @MusicBlissMalaysiaTV
      @MusicBlissMalaysiaTV  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

We're running it in the FX loop here....

Just a personal experience but I found the dc2w sounds way better into the front of the amp if your using any kind of drive or distortion with it 🤘

What about an overdrive/fuzz into the pedals? Not amp dist.

Dimension C reacted better to overdrive sound, it didn't take away from the sound it enhanced it

Interesting. I thought the DC almost sounded flanger-y, a little much, while the CE worked much better in the crunch channel. Both great pedals though, and I have been wanting to try out a DC forever

Building a small Acoustic Pedalboard with a Strymon Blue Sky and a Dunlop / MXR Echoplex. I am Deciding on either of these 2 pedals ??? ( already have a phenomenal Free The Tone Tri-Avatar Chorus ). Update: purchased the DC-2W - love it !!!

I'd say CE-2W, just for the added Vibrato mode.....the FTT Chorus gets you almost any tone you want....at least you get some varying tones with the CE-2W

I just love that Gibson. I almost bought a very similar one, and now often wish I had have done.
So stunning, especially from an angle such as this, where you can appreciate the contrasting binding and the slightly cherry amber/brown back, and the cool blue of the top. Also...it matches the chorus pedals !! 🤣

Chorus is chorus and the dimension is a flanger with chorus

      No

    • @mikegleeson8733

Not a flanger, and it’s technically not even a chorus. It’s the bucket brigade delay chip out of phase.
