Just because Amazon can save healthcare doesn't make it a good idea for America.
I now watch these every morning instead of watching CNBC while I eat my oatmeal.
In the US we don't have "healthcare." We have very inefficient "sick care." Someone needs to incentivize the preventative part and penalize bad behaviors

Here in Costa Rica as an expat, socialized medicine costs me a backbreaking $19 a month. Healthcare spending on a GDP basis: CR about $1,000 per person, USA about $12,000 per person. Ticos outlive Americans by about 2 years on average. Spending less, living longer.

Do you see amazon entering into the European healthcare system as well? As a Belgian i don't think things are perfect here but they certainly don't seem as "disruptable" as it is the states.

Prevention requires individual action. Most individuals aren't willing to put their money where their mouth is. "The system" can't fix this.

You're right. Don't even try because it might be hard to do. Best to just spiral the country ever downward into medical debt, the people into disability and eventual societal collapse. Things never change anyway, electric cars will never work, man will never go to the moon (or even fly), Polio will never be cured so why even try, people could never work from their homes, malaria and heat will forever make the South uninhabitable, you could never grow crops in a desert. Good call.

Genetics play an important role for sure, but most health vulnerabilities are formed AFTER birth. I.e. poor nutrition, lack of exercise, exposure to toxins and disease, etc.
If baby's life expectancy was 32 years out of the womb, Mom must have been smoking a pack a day or drinking like the Irish or something. Or he lost the genetic lottery big time.
That background is distracting as hell.
