- hii guys! finally a soundgarden song. i find them super difficult to sing and play, but i tried my best. i really like soundgarden and this is one of my favorite songs from the band. hope u like it ;)

it's not just Chris' vocals tho, I think the chords and rhythm stuff SG does is also more complex than average.

I think what I like about all of her covers is that she does a great job of preserving the original sound while still adding some uniqueness to them. Plus I'm a sucker for this unplugged style too, so I guess there's that lol

We lost a music legend when Chris took his own life, but it brings me peace and comfort to see his influence live on in the talent and passion of other musicians. Excellently done. You have a genuine and unique sound that is so refreshing.

Been listening to Soundgarden, Audioslave and Chris Cornell for my whole life, I was about her age back in the 90s learning to play guitar, for a second the old vibe of 1996 came flushing back to me just listening to her, thank you

I’m just after watching the Nirvana R&R Hall of fame induction ceremony... Nirvana came to be a part of my life when I was 18 (I’m 22 now) during a very difficult period - So seeing Dave & Krist performing SLTS / all apologies etc all these years later without Kurt not only made me sad as it brought me back to the hard time I had 4 years ago but also made me sad because of how sad it is that Kurt isn’t around anymore, just absolutely tragic... However, during their performance and the ceremony, they had a selection of female artists step in to provide lead vocals.. all were good but one in particular I thought was great, the girl that sang all apologies (go and watch, but prepare because you may cry like I did!) - She had such a great, ‘emotional’ voice and really expressed herself in her singing! I fortunately found this cover by you maybe 25 minutes later, and again unfortunately was pretty saddened remembering Chris’ death... I just wanted to say that your cover of black hole sun here is exceptional and I was really moved by your singing as well as the sound you created in your playing... Just a really beautiful cover, I love it! Cheered me up despite how ironic that is, given the entire context

@@ronkyaron it's in drop d, meaning the tuning is DADGBE. The intro is basically all drop d power chords, but she plays them up half a step from what I learned. Hope this helps.

I love these covers. Almost all are songs by favourite bands of mine that are go-tos almost every time I've picked up my guitar for the past 20 years or so : ) (Nirvana, Soundgarden, Alice, Oasis, etc.). Great songs that I've never grown bored of (particularly the first 3 and basically anything by Chris Cornell). While I do tire of listening to myself play them, it's very refreshing to hear someone else playing this excellent music and doing it justice. Black Hole Sun is my favorite one so far, closely followed by Would? Great singing and playing. Looking forward to hearing your next one!
