Just want people to know how hard it is to sing and play guitar at the same time. Its like patting your head and rubbing your belly at the same time. This girls taste in music and talent is awesome.
Dave Grohl wrote this while in a hard time of his life after a breakup and being homeless but the original is a rock anthem. Your version brought a more honest feel for what the track was about. Just like the Foo Fighter acoustic version. I love it!
She can always build range if that’s the case and if it is the case then I’m glad because it forces her to get creative. While going an octave up might not sound creative the actual end result in the song sounds nice and different in a great way. Sometimes the simple things can make the overall song sound better for the person singing it and this is one of those times

I've been struggling with depression for a long time, to the point where I wonder if it's even real. I haven't been taking care of myself again. There isn't much that gives me an inkling of joy anymore. However, singing along with you makes me feel a little less lonely, like I have a friend or something. It's silly, but it's true. Weird how a cover song can be more therapeutic than my actual therapy. Thank you lots.

Structured inconsistencies where the change in organization provides beautiful melodies/harmonies where if you take them out, the product sounds far more bland. All apologies is a case in-point where the inconsistencies are actually an indispensable part of the work, and IMO -- given the evidence for how vital they are to the song's success as a masterpiece -- very much so done on purpose.
