Hi Sally. the little pink/purple flower at 5.05 is Crown Staffordshire. Staffordshire is a county in England and my home county. North Staffordshire was world famous for its pottery, Josiah Wedgewood being one of the most famous of the North Staffs potters. there were lots of manufacturers up there at one time. I live not far from the city of Stoke on Trent which was right at the heart of pottery and porcelain making back in the day
@@VintageDiscoveries 😁maybe you had a past life as an early English settler. The UK has some really lovely places to visit but most tourists head for the London which is understandable, it's a beautiful city. I live in 'The Midlands' in a little town and I like it that way. Love your videos Sally, I found you during lockdown and have been watching every since. You inspired me to start my own collection of vintage brooches, it becomes a little bit of an addiction though doesn't it 🤭keep the videos coming, I love to see what you have in your bags of sparkly goodness xx
@@joanneoverbury850I disagree with it being understandable for people that visit the UK to just visit London. If only they'd look at places such as Yorkshire where I am from or Northumberland, which is for me the most beautiful place in the UK. Vintage D I love your videos, I watch all kinds of vintage/antique collection videos, right from tools, to books and even jewellery. Seeing past folks possessions being rescued and remembered is a buzz, so love just got to say me and my Partner Rose love your videos.
Hello Sally...Loved the buttons 😊...i have done so much with them... pillows, picture frames, hand bags and jewelry,etc... thank you for the show and tell.
There is a small museum that an elderly woman's family dedicated to her button collection after she passed away . It is huge there were some fantastic buttons everywhere in frames. I was young when we visited it. I believe in Dover Ohio.
To me it seems like you dismiss Avon jewelry. They never made their own things, but rather used some highly sought after makers, like KJL and many others. Very collectable. Some pieces are true works of art.
Hi, Sally! Yes, that is a figural tie clip of a “hunting whip” or “English hunting whip” at 11:00 (the purpose of the hunting whip is to keep the hounds from getting under the horse's feet). Also, the capital B inside the star mark you saw was one of the marks used by Barton Allen Ballou (a.k.a., B.A. Ballou).
Hi Sally, great video as always! I smiled when I heard you talking about She Devil. It was originally a book The Life & Loves of a She Devil & it was made into a TV series for the BBC in the mid 80’s. I know how much you love all things British so it might be worth trying to find the episodes on TH-cam?

“Dont step on a crack or you’ll break your mothers back”. We sang as we walked down a sidewalk

Hello ! That ring at 24' is a 1940 art deco tank with old mine diamonds. You didn't comment on it. That is your jackpot girl !

Gas station "gold". 😊
No but when we were kids Mom told us to never step on a grave stone. I didn’t know why. She never explained.😅🤪

I was honestly surprised at the prices of the Goodyear buttons 🤔😮

@@VintageDiscoveries is it a necklace, or something else?
Older button are worth more than new one and people collect pearl buttons
It depends on the buttons some are worth more
Hello hello ❤
Hi Anitra ! 🦋🩵🦋
The ‘ancient’ button had some fine print on it. Sterling!😮
Have to check that again ! it’s very cool
I'm weird I like the old smell
Lol me too especially books ! but this smell is well 🤔 Odd
@@VintageDiscoveries Sally you can use activated charcoal to get rid of the smell.
Old buttons smell. Catalin and Bakelite smell like formaldehyde. It’s yucky.
Sure Is ! 😄
A lot of junk…
In my trunk 😂
Belle fregature questi sacchetti a sorpresa...quasi tutta paccottiglia...
it’s not junk to me 😊
At 11:15 is actually an earring. They were made by Hillcraft or Castlecraft. Google it the story of the jewelry is interesting.
