    I use a Hest mattress in my square drop. They really are the best out there as far as I am concerned, and I am a 62 year old woman with pretty bad arthritis trouble. Those beds are more comfortable than my mattress at home. They have a size that would fit in your Bean. If Bean had come out with the 2024 version of the Bean Stock a year earlier, I might be a bean owner. As it is, I appreciate the space in the Flyer Pursue. I have two Hest mattresses on cots for me and my sister with an aisle between, and neither of our heads come anywhere near the roof when we are sitting on the cots, but we are kind of petite. There is still room for my special needs pup and her luxury crate at the foot of my bed too.

    The Bean trailer company makes the top of my list, but I have a small SUV and I am looking at the Taxa TigerMoth. Love the fiberglass and everything they designed into their teardrops. Thank you for your excellent review. I may get lucky in the future to have a better tow vehicle and this will be the one. ❤😊

      @@JauntJunkies Agree with this. When building your trailer consider do you REALLY need an extra door, a full galley, a roof rack. All this adds weight and expense. I have a Subaru Outback that already has a bunch of the comforts packed into it like inductive cooking and power station, so Im not going to duplicate. No kitchen, no roof rack, and I expect to be about a thousand pounds lighter at the end of the day. Mostly what I want is a nice big bed, windows, and climate control. Keeping it light and roomy.

    You should be able to get your stove to simmer. The factory grease on the valve o-rings needs to be replaced with some fresh dielectric grease. It's not difficult do disassemble them, clean them up and get back to cooking as you prefer.

    Thanks for the great review. It seems really expensive for a camper trailer. Quality looks like it is very high quality. Have a question about the sink in the kitchen, do you feel that it was worth it, or could you have gotten by with the base setup and collapsible buckets?

    • @JauntJunkies
      @JauntJunkies  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    Great overview; we’re in our third season with our Mean Bean. We love it; it’s been flawless. Weird about your sticker peeling. We store ours in our garage so maybe that’s been the difference? So far the only issue is not using it as much as we’d like!

      Good point. I wouldn't buy their gazzilion dollar custom cover, but it might be worth investing in a tarpulin cover when not in use to protect from UV rays. The actual fiberglass seems to hold up well tho. It doesn't have that oxidization look of so many trailers after a few years.

    I've looked at numerous trailers, and the Meaner Bean is at the top of my list. I'd probably just bring my own 20lb propane tank in the truck rather than get the overpriced optional smaller ones, and good to know about the stock stove - I'd want something a little more adjustable regarding the flame (will prob go with the mid-level kitchen as well). Are you guys "bottoming out" with your hips and such against the floor with the stock mattress? Having the ability to fold up and use the indoor table would be nice in inclement weather, but I'd forgo that option to have a comfortable regular memory foam mattress.

    • @JauntJunkies

    Just a correction on your "road version" Bean: it's the Classic Bean, not the Bean Stock. We have the Bean Stock (original) and it's almost identical to the Mean Bean, with off-road suspension, high clearance, etc. It does great for us off- and on-road!
    Bean Trailers has a new, more stripped-down version of the Stock now, maybe because the original was too close to the Mean Bean. A lot of us noticed and saved a lot of money on the Bean Stock. Our Bean is actually almost identical to this one, even down to the off-road hitch and the same kitchen and the white outside color and same interior. We don't have the heater (ours stays so warm with just a little heat input) but we do have the awesome 12V Dometic AC. Ours was $28K total.

    $40,000 God really? Small LP tanks really what was the manufacture thinking, crazy stupid idea. Poor grill controls for temperature heat, what the heck? The slider door smashed your fingers what the heck? Fix it manufacture. Bad mattress for $40,000, well who needs good sleep on a vacation, ha I do. Power outlets by your feet , once again poor design, the designer must of been drunk.
    Once again $40,000 should be perfect in every way.

      Thanks for watching. Bean is putting new decals on the trailer as I type this. They completely stand behind their customers and it is a superior build to anything else we have found. There are always going to be little nit picky things. Like I said the small propane bottles I bet are weight related because a lot tow with much less capable vehicles. The mattress would probably be the best if you used it as a sofa as well but we just never have. Even with all our little complaints we would buy it again.
