Nice Vid. Stayed with our old '77 Tioga Class C RV in Cape Hatteras KOA and visited Kitty Hawk in 2015. Kids want to go back soon! Thanks for this revisit!

I was camping at Kiptopeake for the rocket launch. It sounded like a huge jet going by. Really cool to be that close..

I only have one EZPass transponder - I get charged correctly if I have or do not have my Airstream. EZPass relayed to me that multiple transponders are not necessary. Huh...
and just for the record.. I love the RV in the mirror shots !!!
Thanks for watching! We were real early adaptors to the EZ Pass and it may have been required then. I'll do the research and make the change if I can. Both are still charging us correctly. I'm just too nervous to test it out...

I really enjoy your videos even though I don't own an RV. I like the retro look of your airstream. I also like the old Shasta ( the little light ones) but they are a big renovation project. Have you ever camped at Walt Disney World? My parents spend 3 weeks around Easter every year in Mertyl Beach every year. What did you cook on the Itaki?
Thanks for watching! We have taken the Airstream down to Ft. Wilderness twice and really love it. We inherited my parent's Disney Vacation Club points and can actually stay at some pretty amazing resorts each year. Nevertheless, we would actually prefer to stay in the Airstream at Ft. Wilderness. We cooked Udon noodles in the Itaki. We love it.
Hammonasset State Park is one of our favorite beech campgrounds, but we have yet to venture into the Carolinas. Enjoyed your video as always.

I had to laugh at the Hatteras to Myrtle Beach in 100 miles😂. Was that as the crow flies? Been to both destinations many many times. We have stayed at Camp Hatteras but prefer Ocean Waves in Rodanthe (cheaper and smaller and on the ocean as well).
Thanks for watching! We made the same error many moons ago when we took at day trip from Rodanthe to Wilmington, NC to see the battleship North Carolina. We'll keep Ocean Waves in mind for next time.

Hi Ron! Not sure what you mean by transponders. We do have a tire pressure monitoring system that sends data from the trailer's tires.
As always, great video. Hey Rich, we’re you ever an airplane pilot? Your stop at the Wright Brothers Memorial got me thinking. You are detail oriented & utilize checklists; all great skills as a pilot. Just curious. (PS-I had my private pilot’s license for 20 years.).
Thanks! I will say that thinking I might have been a pilot is one of the best compliments you could have paid me! Sadly, the same eyesight that kept me out of the military kept me from a pilot's license. I remain a grounded Av Geek. BTW, do you follow Aviation 101 on TH-cam? It is one of my favorite channels.
@@LuvSubbin Thanks for the tip on the channel; I’ll check this out. I gave up flying a few years ago as I flew less each year. I thought it was best to quit while ahead. Over 20 years we had great opportunities to see much of the country from 5,000 feet. We purchased an RV in 2017 and now enjoy the country from ground level!
Brian you always have a pilots license. It’s the medical that you have to renew depending on what class you need. And then the being current with that license. I was current till a few years ago . Like you , less and less flying plus the age creeping up equals me stopping the being a pilot.
Premier 1 driver and Steveo1kinevo are also great aviation channels.
We prefer Huntington State park over Myrtle Beach SP (more room), also spend a dollar and spend a day walking around Brookgreen Garden.

ah man, In my younger days, we'd travel to the outer banks for deep sea fishing (many moons ago). did you get to go a little further down to Ocracoke island? (step back in time for sure). love the journey, keep the videos coming!

Ron Noonan here do you need a special ez pass for turnpike travel with a trailer
Hi Ron! Thanks for watching. I have conflicting information on this. I have two transponders - one for towing which includes a two axle trailer and one for when we're just in the truck. Others have said this is not necessary and that EZ Pass will do the correct calculation. We were early adaptors with EZ Pass so maybe things have changed. We'll still use the two transponders...

Thanks for watching! You got it. Those on the highway have the right of way and should maintain speed. It is the responsibility of those getting onto the highway to yield to me. Now, if things are wide open I will move over but I'm not going to push it in traffic.
