Dear Miss Tracy, you are such a gift to us. Thank you for generously sharing your creative ideas, and most importantly, your love for the Lord! This video is inspirational, at a time when we need to be reminded to Taste and SEE the Goodness of the Lord!! You really live His goodness, sweet Miss Tracy.
That is so Beautiful ! Thank you for sharing this great Tip ! I love how it looks in your bible. I think that is such a Fun actually and it seems fairly easy to do ! ❤️🙏🏼😆
There is no one that respect the Holy Bible more than me. But what is happening in this video is an artistic reaction to certain scriptures that have been studied before hand. The Bible she is using is a JOURNALING BIBLE. It was purchased for that reason. It has 2 1/2 inch margins especially for art. It is purchased by these CHRISTIANS to express their feelings about the scriptures they are studying. With this explanation, I firmly believe they are delving into the word of GOD to a degree some here do not understand. They are not defacing the Bible or insulting God’s word. They are artistically adding their understanding of the scriptures. God bless each and every one of them for delving into God’s word to this degree. Maybe more people should try it. I think I will!! Blessings to all!!🙌🙌❤️❤️❤️
In church today people loved my journaling bible my reading one is a super giant print kjv my husband brought, due to my eyes now I have to highlight the whole page before reading, I am not defacing it’s the only way I can read now, so blessed to still colour and write simple things in my bibles.
Love this technique and those gorgeous napkins. I am one who doesn't believe in covering the words unless it is always readable even if I'm using another Bible to study and read. The reason is because I want someone else who picks up any Bible to be able to read the words which is more important than the beautiful artwork. So, I will try this technique in another journal first to get the feel of it and see how readable the words are underneath, and whether it is distracting to the reader. I do thank you so much for sharing this technique because it is absolutely lovely.
Thanks for sharing the great technique. I loved getting peeks of your other completed pages... I had never considered bible journaling before, but it seems like a beautiful way to meditate on the text: as you were flipping through your pages, I caught little highlights. Really bringing out your favourite passages - making it less of a full-on bible, and more of a “favourite passages” journal, with the text pre-printed for you ;) There are some really wonderful verses in Esther - great choice :) Thanks for sharing - loved this video!
I absolutely LOVE this idea...can't wait to try it! Also, the Kaiser gel pens you are using are my FAVORITE! I sell them on my etsy store! Thank you for this...
Hi I love it and this is a great idea I am new to this I am excited to my Bible Journaling Thank you for sharing May God continue to use you in this beautiful gift
Before I watched how this was done, I was feeling very negative toward Gesso... but you've changed my mind. Love how this turn out... Could you please tell me what the lined filler notepad paper is that you used as a tip-in. I wondered if it were possible to still read, but your close up shot cleared that up for me. Beautiful job! Also, Matthew 7:1-3 (KJV) does say, "Judge not, that ye be not judged... " Just saying!
Hi Miz Tracy, I absolutely love the napkin idea! I love napkins and I have an awesome selection. I have two journaling bibles. One for studying and taking notes and one for watercolor, or napkins. Can you please tell me how you make the ribbon page dividers. I love those.
Well, I absolutely love the art project. The napkins added a lovely touch to the pages. I will, however, use this technique in a journal instead of my Bible.
Love this idea but I am not so sure I would cover up all the scripture. I know they become see through after placement but I'm not there yet. Also where did you get the mason jar napkins. I like you love mason jars and I would love those napkins. Thanks
Thank you for sharing I realize people are upset with covering scripture but if you are like me I have no less than 20 bibles I journal in interleaved and single column bibles There is a solution if one gets upset with a free lesson technique one can not subscribe and move on to a technique more pleasing to oneself.
I put something tacky on two fingers and sandwich a corner and it pulls the napkin apart, no more tearing or fumbling. Glue stick or a smidge of glue on fingers, rub together till all most dry, nothing too wet.
Hello Miss Tracy, thank you so much for uploading this awesome video! I was wondering: is this a technique I can use on any paper? Like, for example, in my bullet journal?
Gesso is not meant to be used as an adhesive or Collage Medium. It is for prepping canvas or heavy paper substrates before painting. Over time it may not hold and can yellow if used in this way. Also it can be expensive to use like this. You can use Matte Gel Medium or Matte Mod Podge and have better results, as they are made specifically for adhering paper, collaging and sealing it. They're way less expensive and it is more effective to use the products as they are intended.
The Little Blue House - Ive never tried that brand. However I am an artist and am familiar with various other brands of artists' Gesso, both regular and the smoother textured. I've just never actually seen anyone use it as an adhesive before since it is intended as a ground (some say the words base or primer) to prepare any substrate for painting. It can be painted onto anything (paper, fabric, canvas, metal, wood, glass) and then paint and a variety of other mediums can be used over it. Interesting.... hmm. I still think gel medium or mod podge would be cheaper and works best.
This is nice, anything that gets you to the word is alright by me. I would definitely not use this bible for study. It is however a great book for reflection on what message moves you to a stronger faith. God bless you I can actually see you gals discussing the pages you've celebrated and why, which is prayer in your way.
I prefer to use Clear Gesso that is formulated for Paper. I have two favorites: Art Basics Clear Gesso by Prima and Dina Wakely's Clear Gesso by Ranger.
great idea! And to some of you naysayers: stop all the legalism about something so beautiful. She probably has a few Bibles, and not only that but there is Bible online also. Quit picking what is wrong instead of seeing and feeling the gift of it and the blessing.
That's why I have several bibles I have one that I use at home only for the word and several study bibles and other pocket, creative bibles I use for journaling
whats the use if you cant read the bible? why do you cover the word of God? so you can have a pretty page? I journal, but do not dare to cover the scripture. never! i use the borders or the pages that dont have nothing to read. its very important to be able to read the word of God. dont forget that. over all, it looks nice. but.... so sad. 🙍
Who said she couldn't read the Word? She advised it would become more translucent as it dries in the video. Besides, there is no right or wrong way to bible journal. What works for you, may not work for the next and there’s nothing sad about it. As long as it’s biblical and helps one to dive deeper and closer to Christ, there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. Covering the Word with napkin art is neither unscriptural or dishonorable. In fact, I believe God is being glorified. :)
Lilly Gonzalez it's not sad. If you have another bible that you read from then it's ok. If you are drawing on God's word for a deeper meaning then I think He'll be ok with that.
If you don't like what people are doing move on why give negative comments? Let God decide what He wants to put in peoples hearts to do. But if you can't say something nice say nothing at all.
It's a specific Bible used for the creativity God has blessed us with. I don't journal that often, but there are times that I'm strongly led on certain scriptures. I have a specific Bible for study and meditation.
I could never do this to my Bible how do you even read the words and I really don't think you're supposed to put anyting over the words of a Bible but that's just me 🤔
Pretty and creative, but please don’t allow the art to become a distraction from the Word of God. Not saying it’s Satan’s work, but we do know he comes in all forms, just be careful. Please don’t take my comment the wrong way😊 God Bless You 🙏🏾
Warrioress On the Wall YOU TOOK THE WORDS RIGHT OUT OF MY MOUTH!!! people get into all this ‘Bible Journaling’ that I never hear them talk about READING IT! To me, just another trap of the enemy!

Martha, you have said what I was thinking! I have a journaling Bible and one for study. Sometimes the art carries me away!

Thanks for watching!
I’m so glad I saw this. Using clear gesso is brilliant. I’ve been frustrated with the liquid gel medium I’ve been using for napkins.
That was beautiful! Thank you for having a sharing heart!
This started it all. My napkinizing addiction! Thank you!
your napkins are lovely, I am waiting for my FIRST bible to aarive, so I am excited to fill with beauty and faith

Wish I was closer to The Little Blue House!
I absolutely LOVE this idea...can't wait to try it! Also, the Kaiser gel pens you are using are my FAVORITE! I sell them on my etsy store! Thank you for this...

Glad you are getting started! It's an awesome way to reconnect with your Bible and God in a whole new way :)))))
Thanks for sharing absolutely lovely ..
I love this idea!! I'm a new subbie, love love love your tutorial! Tfs
YOU CAN USE A PIECE OF SCOTCH TAPE TO PULL OUT THE BACK OF NAPKIN LAYERS. I FIND IT EASIER THAT WAY. I LEARNED THAT FROM SOMEONE.
Love this Miss Tracy!
Loved your video...and your wonderful accent🤗
You have absolutely inspired me. Thank You. I will definitely subscribe ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
WOW....I've learned something new. I love this technique.
Great idea, new one for me to try ☺️
Love it! Now I have to find some napkins!
Before I watched how this was done, I was feeling very negative toward Gesso... but you've changed my mind. Love how this turn out... Hi Miz Tracy,
I absolutely love the napkin idea! I love napkins and I have an awesome selection. I have two journaling bibles. One for studying and taking notes and one for watercolor, or napkins. Can you please tell me how you make the ribbon page dividers. I love those.
I just found you tonight. I live in Farmers Branch and as soon as I can, I will be over to The Little Blue House!
Thanks for sending me this video. Now, I really can't wait to get my napkin package!
Well, I absolutely love the art project. The napkins added a lovely touch to the pages. I will, however, use this technique in a journal instead of my Bible.
How can you read your Bible now?
Julia Watson it dries opaque
many people use a separate Bible for artistic worship and another to study/read
Julia Watson lol I can’t stop laughing 😝 hahahaha hahahaha oh my goodness lol sorry but I found that funny!
Julia Watson, That was my exact thought! 😱
@@gebswife Hope they spend as much time (or more) reading their Bible :}
Can you use a regular blow dryer to dry the page? This is so neat, I like it!!
Thanks!!
BEAUTIFUL
Love this idea but I am not so sure I would cover up all the scripture. I know they become see through after placement but I'm not there yet. Also where did you get the mason jar napkins. I like you love mason jars and I would love those napkins. Thanks
Thank you🌺
Thank you for the video. My only question is, how do you clean the brush you just used on the video with the gesso?
Hi Tracy, I was wondering if the Kaiser craft gel pens bleed through the bible pages without Gesso please?
BEAUTIFUL! Thanks for sharing this fabulous idea! Which Bible is this? I like that the wide-edge columns don't have heavy lines as some others do.
Thank you for sharing I realize people are upset with covering scripture but if you are like me I have no less than 20 bibles I journal in interleaved and single column bibles
There is a solution if one gets upset with a free lesson technique one can not subscribe and move on to a technique more pleasing to oneself.
would love to join your next swap! I just found a vintage looking pack at Ikea!
What bible did you use for your journalling? I like the superwide margins in yours.
I put something tacky on two fingers and sandwich a corner and it pulls the napkin apart, no more tearing or fumbling. Glue stick or a smidge of glue on fingers, rub together till all most dry, nothing too wet.
i would love one of the napkins you show with all the words. do you know where you can get them?
I've been looking for this napkin! May I ask where did you get it?
Who 🙋🏻Just found you🌹What Bible are you usinglove this idea💡
Those scripture napkins are incredible. We have NOTHING like that in the UK :-(
Too many people died for this precious Word. I wouldn't cover it. It trivializes it.
But this technique is perfect for an actual journal or notebook.💐
Hello Miss Tracy, thank you so much for uploading this awesome video! I was wondering: is this a technique I can use on any paper? Like, for example, in my bullet journal?
Would that effect the scripture cause writing difficult to read? I like napkin art ideas
Very pretty♥
want to try this!!!!
hello, did the person you swapped napkins with happen to tell you just "where" she purchased those "praise" napkins?
so beautiful, which bible are you working in /with ?

Do you have to use certain Bible paper? Or will this technique work in any Bible?
Hi! At the 11:22 mark, I am wondering what that little extra sheet of paper is?
Oh thank you... do you have a video on how to tape it in?
What gel pens are those? Or are they gel highlighters? Thank you
HELLO
IS THIS YOUR EVERYDAY BIBLE
OR A OLD BIBLE JUST FOR JOURNALING-KITTIE
Why do you cover the text in your Bible? How do you manage to read the Bible afterward? Just curious
Hi I'm a newbie what's the name of your gesso you suggest please 😀
love this can't wait to try! where did the "Jesus/praise him" napkin come from!?
Cool bible and ideas, but I hope you study it as much as you craft it.
She meditates as she's doing the artwork. It's not a craft hobby. It's art worship.
What is the product you are using to adhere it?
I prefer to use Clear Gesso that is formulated for Paper. I have two favorites: Art Basics Clear Gesso by Prima and Dina Wakely's Clear Gesso by Ranger.
hi tracey, are you still on line and doing the napkin swap.?
How can you read your Bible with all that stuff stuck on it?
those r pretty napkins
Where do you find all the Beautiful Napkins🌹
But, you'll have to buy a whole pack, right? Or could you buy just one? Sorry if its a silly question.
Amneris Cruz you could always trade with other bible journalers 😉
Amneris Cruz look at eBay and Etsy for decoupage paper napkins and you'll find anywhere from one to four napkins only, for sale.
great idea! And to some of you naysayers: stop all the legalism about something so beautiful. She probably has a few Bibles, and not only that but there is Bible online also. Quit picking what is wrong instead of seeing and feeling the gift of it and the blessing.
Dawn Schultz Great idea. I’m moving on.

How do you keep the clear gesso from getting in the wrinkles of the napkin? It dries white and looks terrible. :-( Help?
Can you actually read your bible when you do all this art work?
That's why I have several bibles
I have one that I use at home only for the word and several study bibles and other pocket, creative bibles I use for journaling
I'm concerned though because I feel it hides the words in God's Word...I mean it looks beautiful but you can read it now...
Can't read it!! :-(
Pastels
whats the use if you cant read the bible? why do you cover the word of God? so you can have a pretty page? I journal, but do not dare to cover the scripture. never! i use the borders or the pages that dont have nothing to read.
its very important to be able to read the word of God. dont forget that. over all, it looks nice. but.... so sad. 🙍
Actually, I'm with Lilly. No reason to cover Gods Word with human art work. Gods Word is its own art. Just sayin'
Who said she couldn't read the Word? She advised it would become more translucent as it dries in the video. Besides, there is no right or wrong way to bible journal. How can you do that !!! Is a Bible is not a journal 😱😱😱
As a christian myself this is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard! Instead of decorating the bible how about reading the bible!
Lisa Perez what if I told you that you can do both?
Pretty and creative, but please don’t allow the art to become a distraction from the Word of God. Not saying it’s Satan’s work, but we do know he comes in all forms, just be careful. Please don’t take my comment the wrong way😊 God Bless You 🙏🏾

Mine has a blank page between each scripture page.
