I really like this one. Combining defensive moves in realistic combinations with offense is something hard to learn, and these drills are great! I would love to see one like this that incorporates leg checks too
Do you have any instructional video topics you'd like to request? Videos similar to this where I talk/teach counter shots, catching kicks..... I'm open to suggestions.
Sure thing! Your recommended ways to defend varying strikes and the best counter strikes to use right after defending. Also, what defensive methods you don’t recommend we use as they have proven ineffective in modern martial arts competition. Thank You for consistently producing awesome videos!!
I have a similar issue to the first commenter, i have good hans and decent kicks to keep people at dostance but im usually lacking in one area and my sparring partners capitalize on my inability to mesh them. But I fear the answer is simply more experience on the mats.
Thanks Gabriel. My mood always improves when I see a new upload from you! Keep up the hard work man, this channel is going to keep growing and I can't wait to see your continued success on TH-cam. Hope all is well and fyi, I've been keeping your message in regards to being a good person in my day to day interactions with people I encounter. Ive been trying to demonstrate positivity, thoughtfulness, and selflessness in the various interactions I have with others. Trying to be outgoing, rather than standoffish and rude is obviously so much better than the behavior that I see so many people quickly resort to, either because of the stresses of the current social and geopolitical climate, or their own personal problems. I keep your message in mind and I hope that my behavior influences others that I encounter randomly throughout my days. I Try to demonstrate the positivity I wish to see when I go out in public, and hope I can influence at least one person who hopefully, does the same in turn. Either way, just wanted to mention how your recent video inspired me, and im sure it's done the same for many of your viewers. Thanks again for the positivity and reminding us to set a proper positive example for others when we go outside and interact with the general public. 🤙
Even as a boxer i dont like to do big movements when i slip because it only takes a slight movement off the centerline to slip the punch also the slip is faster when its smaller movements and to throw the counter comes quicker when the slip is smaller, also with a small slip my balance and position to counter right back immidietly is better because i dont have to waist all that time it takes to get back into position to throw my counter compared to a wide slip. The whole reason i would slip or block, perry etc is so i could be in range to hit my opponent without getting nailed. If im not planning on hitting my opponent with a counter or not ready to punch i would use my feet and step out rather than having to block, slip, perry, or whatever to defend while in range. If im in range in the first place then im looking to be offensive. Of course there are exceptions to everything like my opponent may get into my range before i get a chance to step out as one example when i may have to defend and or get out of there. So my point is everything in this video like alot of this mans videos can be applyed to boxing as well. Another awesome video thank you

Glad you like them! Adding in leg defense is a great idea.
I threw in leg checks with my slips as i raised my hand i also turned my shin out and raised my knee a bit to practice balance.

@Bam OuttaDaBayou I’m the opposite I like to set my kicks up behind hands like a jab lead high kick or rear straight to roundhouse
Maybe catch and counters? Or intercepting?
