      They say humans are bad at reaction but good at prediction. How do you predict or read your opponent while you are in the fight and make adjustments or counters?

    2:33 front foot step forward draw back
    3:00 front foot step forward and slip head and draw back
    3:23 front foot step forward and slip head and add jab and draw back
    3:43 back foot backwards then cross then front foot backwards
    5:04 back foot backwards and cross at the same time then front foot backwards
    7:00 front foot goes back and jab goes into cross and vice versa
    10:08 pivot then back to stance
    12:20 pivot and hook then back to stance
    13:38 roll head and side step
    15:05 diagonal step and cross and slip head then pivot

    fighting is footwork, if your gym neglects it just go away, they simply don't teach fighting

    Footwork training is sooo underrated. My game has elevated substantially since training footwork.

      Footwork puts you in a position where you can't get hit.

    First of all, thank you very much Gabriel!for putting out that high-quality stuff. This is a great channel. So far, I like the instructional it’s like this or for example kicks from level one to level 10 the most. Anyway, please add up The dynamic footwork work out that you mentioned.     I was trying to anticipate what you would teach in this video, and I failed. I love the video and the pivot hook and oblique cross are going to be drilled a lot. I was imagining using punches and knees as ways to reposition urself via tour opponent, specifically a jumping knee to the left of your adversary, followed by landing squared up to the left side of his body, followed by a bunch of hooks. Wacky, what you taught is more useful.

    Just wanted to say. I'm about to start MMA+kickboxing+BJJ, and I just performed your beginner version of this. It gives some confidence that I can drill a little bit while I wait for all my gear to arrive and for exams to be over

    I have seen an interview with old thai champion, he said his father took him to gym, but forbid him to take on gloves for 6 months, he had to master footwork first

    This was so useful. Thank you. Are there any specific adjustments you would make as a southpaw? Also, a dynamic tutorial would be great!

      For the check hook step, depending on how close you are in a South paw orthodox match up, you might need to have the outside lead foot. Otherwise you expose your back to their lead side.
      Just speculation from my experience. Varga would have a better answer I'm sure.

    Also why is this shadow boxing not translating into sparring. I can shadow box for 10 hours in a week and still Spar the same, not using any of the footwork that I have been drilling
